A super - nice, new hotel, where we enjoyed our stay in kl! The only drawback is that there was no cleaning and the bed is a little narrow, but apart from that the hotel is super beautiful and i also liked how clean, organized the hall area is! Breakfasts were great too! :)
Great stay, great breakfast. Super clean and friendly staff
This chain has not disappointed. The breakfast is top notch and well appreciated even for a short stay. Thank you for clean rooms as well and a friendly staff.
We always have a great experience staying here. Customer service is over the top. Staff are super helping answering questions and making sure overall stay is amazing
Very friendly people, and a great breakfast, but the rooms are extremely small and have barely a bed and a shower. The Internet is fine, but it will block you from accessing sites that should be ok. You’ll want to have a VPN. There is a TV and a child’s desk that is too small for you to use for a laptop. It’s fine if you’re going to stay for a night, but not an extended stay. I’ve been to other hotels...
Decent hotel. However, would have liked to have had a bar fridge. Ice machine in the lobby was broken.

Great place to stay while visiting our son stationed nearby. The breakfast buffet was always well-stocked and had a good variety of food for all tastes. The cappuccino machine was the best! The front desk was able to lend us a variety of items - outlet adapters, charging cords, etc… The only problem we encountered was being unable to get the temperature in our room low enough to sleep. We kept the...
All good aside from the shower drain being clogged and flooding part of the room. I had to clear up hair from the last 100 guests to fix the problem. Dried out the room with the towels. In the morning, the cleaning lady woke me up to give me a hard time for leaving wet towels in the hallway. That’s what I got for not wanting to call anyone at midnight no clean my room.
Staff was extremely friendly and good natured. Helpful when needed.
One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a hotel. Pillows not the best. No firm pillows, which I prefer. Exercise room was nice, and I love the fully open hours for it
Location is central to Kaiserslautern but removed enough to be quiet at night and have ample included parking. The rooms are well stocked for short stays and in excellent condition. The beds, linens and towels are much higher quality than you would expect at the price point. The hotel was full when I stayed but the breakfast was still well stocked and I had no problems with WiFi speed. The gym has...

Hotel Heymann
Kaiserslautern, Mühlstr.6 🧭 Map
My room was clean and a good size. It had a small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities.
The best aspects of this hotel were the location, easy access to the hotel with individual code and the host/ owner. The owner went out of his way to help and I was able to leave my case in the room all day and pick it up on the ground floor.
The property and rooms were very clean. The owners were very nice and provided a gluten free breakfast for my husband. (GF dedicated toaster). The area was great to wander and shop.
There was no one at the hotel, I was just sent a code and the room number, and I was not informed about this until the day I checked in (so when I could no longer cancel the reservation). One of the reasons to stay at a hotel is because there is someone there to help navigate the local area. And the person I spoke to via the intercom was neither friendly nor helpful. The room was nice, even if it was...
No elevator, no parking, nice location clean and safe
Very lovely property. I will visit again
Great location. Easy to explore, shop, people watch all on foot. Great hosts. Family owned and operated property. Parking should you need that. Two bedroom apartment was great for me. Really liked the place and I will return without hesitation.

Very good motel, with nice bathroom and kitchenette. The WLAN though, could (and should) be better, at night the internet connection is very bad or not existing. But in general it's great to stay here, lots of privacy.
Awesome concept. Easy check-in and out. Great price! Clean rooms! Great stay!
Rooms are average, but having a stove and full fridge is convenient. Only trash can provided is the small one located generally in bathrooms. My room was not serviced the week I was there. Location is 15 minutes from the base. Roughly 7 to downtown Ktown.
Biggest reasons for 3 stars is there is no 24/7 reception. So say you forgot your code to your door and lost your phone, you have no way into your...
Great hotel. I love the concept where you don't need to see people to check-in.
The rooms are very clean. Good AC. Great bathroom. And the beds are also very good.
We just stayed for 1 night. I don't know if it's a 'fun' hotel to stay longer, but for the traveler it is a great spot to stay for the night.

This hotel is Awesome. The restaurant is amazing. Great steaks. The breakfast was excellent and worth every euro. Highly recommend. Very American friendly also. Nice location. No complaints.
Very nice countryside location. The Staff, The Rooms and the Dining Exceed One’s Expectations. My Spouse and I Really Enjoyed Our Stay. It is Very Close to Downtown Kaiserslautern! My Spouse and I Thank You Very Much, Staff of the Hotel! Beautifully Decorated and Maintained! Thanks!
Easily the best hotel we've stayed at in all of Europe. The rooms had excellent air conditioning and the beds were very comfortable. Furthermore, we held our wedding ceremony in one of the conference rooms, and the staff was so kind and supportive to us and our guests.
To name only a few of the ways they went above and beyond: one of the staff very kindly surprised us with a beautiful swan decoration...
This hotel is set in a beautiful location, but what truly makes it exceptional is the people. Every staff member—from the front desk to the cleaning team to the restaurant—was gracious, kind, and genuinely welcoming. It felt like being part of a family. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the showers were excellent, and having a 24-hour front desk with a live person was a huge plus. The restaurant...

Mid-budget hotel. Nice bar and breakfast assortment. Rooms (singles) are disappointing — poor lighting, no USB outlets !
A very German hotel with great service, good single room facilities, and a large open-air balcony where everyone can enjoy the breeze and relax. Highly recommended!
Perfect stay and really good room.
Breakfast buffet was fantastic! One recommedation for the rooms: install USB cable charging ports. This will allow international travelers to charge their phones without having to also bring a bulky electrical adapter plug.
Too far from everything! However…. The hotel bar has a wonder bar. The bartender name Klementina is a wonderful host. Also makes an amazing old fashioned. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great Clean Hotel
Excellent location. Walked to the Twenty One restaurant. Shopping nearby too.
Excellent stay. Clean room, comfy bed and large space for the room. Only thing negative is some tv channel didn’t work, however they have a HDMI cord ready already plugged into the tv for you to watch some shows from your laptop. Great stay, I will be back there
We spent one night at the Saks Kaiserslautern and had a SPA suite.
Parking in the public parking garage is discounted for hotel guests. Check-in was straightforward and friendly.
The suite was clean and modern: The bathroom and the terrace were great:
All in all, a successful stay. We would love to come back.
Breakfast was wonderful.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Very walkable to art museum, restaurants and shopping. Room was sound proof, well appointed and clean. Staff helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Parking garage has easy access to hotel. Great stay will come back if in the area.

Although it on the outskirts of the city it is a lovely, friendly hotel where you are made to feel really welcome. The rooms are kept really clean and well maintained. It is quite close to the University and about a 10 minute walk from the station. You have to walk into the city for food. About a 20 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
A haven of tranquility, hospitality and kindness, the owners here go over and above the ordinary. My husband had a stroke while visiting, and I have been well-cared for here. My every need and request has been provided. The wonderful breakfast helped me fuel for my walks to the hospital. Each morning I was greeted as if I were family, and the compassionate care I've received here is second to none...
A very kind woman gave me a personal tour, walked me to my room, and showed me how everything worked. It was very quaint and pleasant. I had a great stay.
Was my first time to Germany and was there for work. The hotel was very nice and the couple who own and run it gave it a nice Bed and Breakfast feel even though it is a nice full size hotel. I will definitely stay there again if I travel to the area in the future.
Went for a Kaiserslautern game, hotel was a good location for me as about 20 odd minute walk from the stadium and less then 10 minute walk from the train station
They asked if I would like to see the available rooms when checking in. I chose not to and took the first available room which was small compared to another I saw later. Recommend checking the available rooms when checking in if possible. The staff were nice consisting of a couple who own the motel. There is a nice eating area that has a modest continental breakfast. The hotel is good, but there is no air conditioning, in summer is a disaster
Easy check in rooms exactly as the website, beautiful modern 1 bedroom suite; downside no real closet space to hang your clothes only two bedside closets for foldable clothes and a 1/2size comforter. What's that about I have NO IDEAL. Luckily I traveled with my favorite blanket. Other than that no complaints, so far. If I don't update this post, all went well.
Very nice, updated rooms. Rooms are very clean. The staff is exceptionally nice and speak English. They have a breakfast with both European and American style food. There's a small bar as well. It's right near downtown with easy access to many stores a restaurants. I strongly recommend booking far in advance. Some rooms have incredible views and some face the courtyard. B&B Hotel
Kaiserslautern, Barbarossastraße 2 🧭 Map
The B&B is a great alternative to more expensive hotel options in Kaiserslautern. I didn't need a fancy hotel stay with a spa and all the trimmings; I just wanted to stay overnight and have breakfast. The B&B was perfect for that! Super friendly staff at the reception, a lovely little room, clean and well-maintained, a great location close to the city center, the train station, and the football stadium...
Easy check-in and friendly staff. The room was clean and quiet.
Great overnight stay
Front desk staff is very helpful and accommodating. We were given a clean and comfortable room. The price paid for the room was very reasonable.
Room was very clean, but very small. There were 2 of us and no place to put down one suitcase,
Parking directions to back of hotel should be prime otherwise sat nav brings you to the front door and it means a long way to return to a right turn into the car park. Left turn-in is not allowed so need to go round the roundabout and under the rail bridge again.
The room was clean and the facilities were good. Hotels in Kaiserslautern are expensive. A hotel like this is 400 RMB per day, which is OK. There is no other way but such a hotel is already cheap in the local area. The location is good and the transportation is convenient.

Great communication and check-in method. Very clean with the exception of hair on the sheets and covers. Easy for taxi to find. Staff is quiet and allows you to relax and enjoy your stay.
We got our room upgraded without asking . In the suburb of Kaiserslautern near the ruins of a 1200 yr old castle that is free and open to the public. Great staff and safe and quiet. I recommend highly
There is no restaurant or daily breakfast!!! Been closed for three years now. No room cleaning or room service. Zero amenities!!!
comfortable stay
The hotel personnel was quite helpful, and the room was clean. If only the bathroom had a window, the room would have been more pleasant. Overall, our stay was very good.

Staying at hotel frohlech
We requested 2 single beds as travelling with my son. When got our room there was a double bed with 2 duvets. We asked about 2 single beds and was told it was a bed for 2 people! Also bad planning on my behalf booking a hotel in Germany on the opening night of the euro's. Especially as Germany won, it was loud until around midnight. Breakfast was ok
Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Close to k-town and surrounding area.
Quiet and clean . Off the beaten path. Not close to anything had to take taxi . 25 euros each way.
Breakfast was nice
This is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We went here for dinner and the restaurant was very clean and the hostess was welcoming. Our service was great. One person had the fish which was really good and fresh, the steak was done exactly right. Finished with fresh made sorbet. Nice relaxing dinner.
This place was ten miles east of our town and we selected it randomly. Overall our stay was surprisingly good. Our very clean double room on the 2nd floor was ok but we had an end unit and lots of street noise. No air conditioner or fan so it was a trade off between noise and fresh air. Luckily we had cool breezes even in late July 2023. I would suggest this nice family owned place add ceiling...

Great hotel, very friendly staff. Only problem is there is no microwave or fridge in the room, and the hotel is not completely ADA compliant.
Great location in Kaiserslautern. Rooms were very nice and modern for a European hotel. Breakfast was phenomenal. Note that parking is only available in a garage across the street. They do partner with a nearby hotel for a gym accommodation.
I've stayed here a number of times. The rooms have a modern design, and some are fairly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Incredible family atmosphere with amazing dining options. Breakfast was superb and the staff went the extra mile…smiley faces in all our drinks!
Really pleasant place, with a great beer garden, good food (reasonably priced) located in pure nature, far from the noise of the city or street traffic. We enjoyed our lunch here, the only downside was the waiting time to get some additional drinks (and in the end we got something different then ordered ...).
Overall a nice experience, we'll be back again.

Biergarten is great, service, food and atmosphere also. Located next to huge hiking, biking, running paths through the forests. Great break from the city.
Good food, great outdoor seating area. Good place to walk if the first and grab a beer afterwards
I absolutely loved this hotel stay and wish I would’ve stayed longer. The outdoor seating area wasn’t open but it looked fabulous and the staff was superb and extremely friendly. Very close to a nice hike in the woods and quiet. The ONLY complaint I have is that I wanted a bathtub in my room but it really want that big of a deal.. I would definitely stay here again

Only speaking for the restaurant here, but it is by far Top 3 in the Kaiserslautern area for me. The food (vegetarian and meat dishes alike) and the wine are outstanding. The tavern-feel of the interior maintains so much character. Any time my wife and I have something to celebrate, we are sure to come here. Cannot recommend highly enough.
A Review of the Restaurant:
Charming little restaurant. Fair prices. Good, friendly service (even though we do not speak German). Good German food. Would definitely go back.
If you enjoy quaint rustic quiet local atmosphere without modern conveniences this is the place for you. Most doors are locked and closed by 11 pm. Odd. Virtually no staff. The front desk closed at 4:00 pm.
Ok place to stay.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, so it was a little messy outside. The rooms were a bit dingy, and the bathrooms were dated. I couldn't turn up the heat. Also, the towels were skimpy, and the bed was a little worn. Maybe the renovations will continue inside, too.

Had a Christmas Party here and The hotel Staff was awesome! They provided us with everything we needed even a lactation room. Very reminiscent of a prison yet still very nice. I booked a double comfort room and it was just big enough for my 13 yr old daughter and myself.
The rooms are clean, but not very spacious, and kind of outdated. The vreakfast is rather simple, and the coffee served on each table was quite bad... The location of the hotel is fine, and there's a lot of parking. Also, the prison details (barb wires, fenced windows, and similar) will be interesting to some people, but not that much to the others (especially girls/women). Also - no gym/sauna.
The hotel was nice. The fact that it was a prison before adds to it's ambiance. You can sleep in a cell if you like. I thought this was cute. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but ok. And the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. Decent prices.
Overall, great experience. I would have rated it 5 stars, however, the Wi-Fi in the room was not working. I checked-in the middle of the night and the reception was very helpful. Hotel is centrally located and has ample free parking. To top it off, the free breakfast was well laided out and had a great variety. I will definitely stay again!
