Where to stay in Kaiserslautern

A super - nice, new hotel, where we enjoyed our stay in kl! The only drawback is that there was no cleaning and the bed is a little narrow, but apart from that the hotel is super beautiful and i also liked how clean, organized the hall area is! Breakfasts were great too! :)

Very friendly people, and a great breakfast, but the rooms are extremely small and have barely a bed and a shower. The Internet is fine, but it will block you from accessing sites that should be ok. You’ll want to have a VPN. There is a TV and a child’s desk that is too small for you to use for a laptop. It’s fine if you’re going to stay for a night, but not an extended stay. All good aside from the shower drain being clogged and flooding part of the room. I had to clear up hair from the last 100 guests to fix the problem. Dried out the room with the towels. In the morning, the cleaning lady woke me up to give me a hard time for leaving wet towels in the hallway. That’s what I got for not wanting to call anyone at midnight no clean my room.

My room was clean and a good size. It had a small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The best aspects of this hotel were the location, easy access to the hotel with individual code and the host/ owner. The owner went out of his way to help and I was able to leave my case in the room all day and pick it up on the ground floor.

Great hotel. I love the concept where you don't need to see people to check-in. The rooms are very clean. Good AC. Great bathroom. And the beds are also very good. We just stayed for 1 night. I don't know if it's a 'fun' hotel to stay longer, but for the traveler it is a great spot to stay for the night.

The B&B is a great alternative to more expensive hotel options in Kaiserslautern. Parking directions to back of hotel should be prime otherwise sat nav brings you to the front door and it means a long way to return to a right turn into the car park. Left turn-in is not allowed so need to go round the roundabout and under the rail bridge again.

Owner can be difficult, pushy almost. We would set an appointment, then he would bug my wife to no end about the time, or changing the time, or this or that. He also messed up the VAT form, or he was dishonest about the price in the first place. I still haven't figured out which. However, the apartment was decent and right next to the lake.

This is a hidden gem. The room was fantastic. It was very spacious with a refrigerator and ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable with night stands and plugs on both sides. This hotel is wonderful! I called half an hour before they closed desperate for a room for my son and I. This was the absolute cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. The owners are wonderful, helpful and accommodating hosts. The fresh breakfast is a great way to start the day. The hotel is in walking distance of all sorts of bars, restaurants and of course the castle. This is a great all around hotel.

A good B&B near to Ramstein. I had a comfortable room, complete with fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and I had a great shower. The breakfast was good. Plenty of free parking outside. The wireless was not great which was the only downside. I'd stay here again if in the area.

We have stayed here for extended periods of time. This is the only hotel in which I will stay. The innkeeper, Michael, does a wonderful job of making you feel at home and helping you to find your way around. He has a wonderful staff and we definitely felt like family.

Had a one night stop over and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Ivan was especially understanding and couldn’t have been more accommodating as my child was unwell and made us feel a lot less frantic which we really appreciate. Thank you again!

Family owned hotel, cosy, comfy clean, with very friendly staff and a hearty German breakfast.

This place has been here for over 25 years serving the American military. What can I say, as the breakfast is the best with eggs, sausage, bacon and yes salmon. They do have fresh cut fruit and tasty coffee. The rooms are large with ac, fridge, and microwave.

We use this hotel regularly as they are very welcoming and a pleasant place to stay.

The property is really a restaurant with rooms, they seem to have bought up houses ether side, we were in haus 3, there were at least four others mostly accessed from the street. Our room was huge, large sitting area, with sofa and two chairs, very comfortable. Didn’t eat in the restaurant, breakfast was good, excellent value.

Had dinner here tonight. Food was great but had to go to the bar to order a drink twice. Service was poor.

We had a parents night away here. Relaxing spa area with sauna/steam room. At the restaurant we had the 5-Course candlelight dinner, with wine pairings. It was absolutely delicious. Room was comfortable and spacious. We stayed in one of the newer rooms. Only down side was that it took a bit to find parking.

We just loved this hotel. If you are into wine and and looking for a quiet place to wind down, this is it. The place is idyllic. Nice pool (heated). Great selection of their own wines. Sipping a nice glass of white wine on the terrace while enjoying the view is a great way to spend your afternoon. If you take the 3/4 board you definitely win’t go hungry.

Vegetarian dinner was delicious, but unfortunately I have to say, rather modest in terms of quantity. It was like the side dish of a meat dish. At home we first had to bake a pretzel.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Tenner. They offer a great breakfast to start the day. Rooms were very clean. It was everything that we needed. Parking can be a challenge (we had to park on the street one night), but everything else was excellent. Highly recommend!

I spent three nights at the Hotel Tenner and would definitely come back. It is a very nice family run hotel with a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast fulfilled every wish and the room was clean. The adjoining vineyards make the stay even more recommendable! All in all, I can absolutely recommend the hotel.

Positive: very good, quiet location, very clean, good food could be improved: -tables were randomly changed at dinner (why?) - visitors who arrived later received their dinner first - packed lunch is poor; Tetra Pak (lots of rubbish for the garbage cans in the forest), you had to prepare and pack the rolls yourself (almost looks like theft)

We only stayed one night, but it was so worth choosing this hotel. The location is great, lots of hikes are possible from here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a beer garden right in front of the hotel where you can enjoy a spritzer or two. We will definitely be back.

The room was spacious, inexpensive and clean. The staff was friendly, prompt and helpful. The location is close to the Altstadt but also close to a bunch of loud construction zones and slightly sketchy neighborhoods.

Hotel was nice to lay our heads in. Room was outdated but did the trick! Front desk reception was friendly as was breakfast service. The city right outside our windows had music going all night long, it was very hard to fall asleep. I think there was a night club or casino right next door. But overall, I’d sleep here again if I was passing thru!

We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere is great and the spa/wellness area is especially beautiful. In the indoor pool women/men could feel like they were in another, magical world. Lovely hotel near the hotel centre with free car parking available. The staff are friendly and speak good English. The rooms are huge, extremely well appointed, very quiet and very comfortable. The restaurant was closed so we had to walk in to town to find some food but it was only about 10 minutes walk.

The staff were amazing the swimming pool was also great since it's indoor, the breakfast was delicious,in general I had a great experience. Maybe the only point I have for the hotel that if they put new couches in the room 🙂

We loved our stay at the Achat Hotel in Bad Dürkheim! The room was spotless (and the soap smelled SO good!). But a few deductions, since the ambience was more modern in the eighties and is therefore not contemporary and also a little masked.
