Where to stay in Kassel

What a great hotel. This is the hotel where we always stay. The swimming pool and sauna is very good. The staff were very nice and pleasant. Thank you Lastrada hotel. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

La Strada is a place you want to lodge of you are around Kassel. The ambience, space, friendly staffs is top notch. I will surely lodge again if around Kassel

A hotel booked for symposium with Bode die tur. A great location but why of why don’t they have air conditioning: but service was good.

Very good hotel. Incredibly clean in the rooms. Very large and spacious. Beds are very comfy, shower pressure excellent. Rooms very quiet and great value.

+ Spacious room, clean toilet, tasty buffet at the restaurant, quiet surroundings - The wifi was useless, limited amenities, the front desk was quite slow to organize check-in for large groups, no refrigerator, no coffee/tea maker in the room, a bit overpriced

Perfect location, right at the WILHELMSHÖHE schloss and the park with absolutely beautiful views. The staff was friendly. However for a 4 star hotel and the price our room and bathroom seemed small and outdated. Breakfast wasn’t great with slow service, long queue to coffee machine and rather stale baked goods. I guess it’s all about the location here but small improvements would create a great experience...

Excellent hotel! Smooth process at all levels. Plentiful buffet in the evening and in the morning. We had a great room, very clean, just the design of what is supposed to be a sink took a little getting used to. My recommendation: take advantage of the many offers and have a great time!

Great!!! Hotel, food, spa! I have rarely been to such a beautiful hotel. The quality is evident from the service to the food and high quality drinks. And all this is again crowned with a breathtaking environment. We will come again next year

Decent hotel, we stayed in their biggest suite which was like $600+ a night. I did like the suite and the huge deck was nice too but the decor was a little questionable at times. I didn't really mind that though, my biggest issue was the service. The staff was often rude or straight up condescending, especially during check-in. While their breakfast options weren't bad I expected more for $600+ a night

Good quality hotel, clean room, breakfeast ok.

-Room facing the main road, window cannot be opened as it is very loud -Minibar broken, cannot be used, only received the answer to a complaint: "Problem is known", no solution to the problem -Door chip card broken, room door can only be opened after trying several times (holding it against the sensor in all directions), problem passed on to staff but no improvement -Beds very uncomfortable, mattress...

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms do have a safe and refrigerated mini bar and to my surprise a bathtub. Breakfast includes everything from eggs, bacon, cheese, jogurt, fresh fruits and breads. There is a tram stop directly in front of the hotel making it very easy to travel around. Checking in and out is very easy and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room was not really organized, shower without glass, no fridge and cabinet for the clothes. Bad not comfortable

The location of the hotel is great. All sights can be easily reached by train. Great advice on what you can do in the city and what is a must for Kassel. Buying the tourist meinCard is highly recommended. You can use a wide range of free offers with the card.

It’s in good location close to the train station and about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. But it’s an old hotel, and everything in it is old but the beds are comfortable.

A fine stay at the hotel. Situated near the Bahnhof. The Bergpark was the main reason for the trip to Kassel.

Clean and bright, good stay experience. There is a fan, which is enough. Sparkling water is provided every day, which is very good.

Centrally located and very friendly staff! The equipment is simple and a bit older, but everything you need is there and very clean! The breakfast in buffet form is also recommended, everything is of good quality and it is "replenished" until shortly before the end of breakfast time. In short, great value for money, we'd love to come back!

The food was delicious. We were served by two women, the first one wasn't friendly and didn't feel like serving us. After a while we got another employee. We felt much more comfortable with her because she knew something about service and friendliness. The selection of dishes was sufficient.

Quite good location - all else is ok

The room was great. It felt like a modern version of a 1950s room with earth tones, lots of wood trim and furnishings and natural uncarpeted floors. Both the room and bathroom were very large for both city center and European standards. Location couldn't be better downtown, near a number of good restaurants and shopping.

I like best westerns. In that case too. Large, comfortable rooms, quite nights and fantastic breakfast buffet. However, TV signal was broken and wasn't´t repaired within the afternoon ( Friday) as we were there + check in time is 15:30!!!

Very clean rooms, good service. Nicely situated in the center of the city. Fitness center attached to the hotel is excellent. The restaurant and fitness center are both located in adjoining mall, tho. A/c not really functioning in the room, and room service is only cold dishes. But very comfortable, generally.

Very friendly and helpful reception. I booked on the go while traveling therefore I wasn’t expecting much and instead I was amazed how nice was the room which was given to me on the 5th floor with outstanding terrace and view! I felt like I was in a small castle back in time! Thanks a lot and whenever I will be traveling around that area I for sure will book again here.

We stayed overnight on a long trip, so just one night but it was lovely, they were super-nice with our two young kids and put us at ease. We would love to come back again!

Very nice hotel. From Apple TV to spacy rooms or a smaller but very tasty breakfast. It is an example that you can create a nice experience when you understand the customer.

Best service and room (& Food) compared to all the hotels we stayed in during our two week roadtrip in Germany. Less pricey than the others and better quality, who can say no to that? They were also glad to talk English to us which is less common than you would think! The food was also fairly priced and really tasty, kinda hate to say it but.. best food experience for the price we had. So overall...

Not modern, but good. It still has a lot of 50s interior. If you like that kind of stuff you should visit. Pretty much in the centre of Kassel. Parking might be an issue. Only payed on public parking place.

Ok, the qualty do not meet up to the price. But overall a okey hotel for a night, just next to the shopping.

The hotel in itself is ok. The location is good and the rooms are comfy enough. But, the hotel could do with some upgrading when it comes to furniture and paint etc. The bathroom was really sad. The breakfast was not up to scratch either. One plus was the super friendly front desk staff.

The little hotel is good for what it is - catering to travellers who stay for just one night. Room and bed was clean, breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. Price is very reasonable.

Friendly staff. Walking distance to the city center and train station. Not the cleanest neighborhood. Room very clean with a large window. Shower doesn't drain very fast.

All in all it is okay. A cheap hotel compared to other hotels in Kassel. Breakfast was good. The area is not the cleanest in Kassel, and it can be loud due to party music and traffic on the street, but for 1-2 nights it is still okay. Reception is only open Monday-Friday 06:30 - 22:00, and Saturday-Sunday 07:30-18:00.

Stayed for one night while visiting Documenta 15. Hotel only 3 stops or short walk from Friedrichsplatz, so very well located for that. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very reasonable for €5. Only complaint was wi-fi, which was fine in the lobby area, but didn't work in my room at all.

It is a nice pleasant hotel, enjoyed the breakfasts. It is close to several other options for eating out and pretty decent for its value. There was a persistent and irritating smoky smell that they could not make enough effort to dissipate, overall it is a decent budget place to stay.

Close to city center and train station, staff is very friendly and polite, room and bathroom clean and cozy, beds are very comfortable! Thanks again for beautiful stay, would definitely come again! ❤️

This family run hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Kassel. The staff is very friendly, the selection at the breakfast buffet is broad and of good quality, the rooms and bathroom have been nicely renovated, it is close to the station. I would definitely go back.

A great hotel to stay with an even beter staff. We found our selfs more then welcome. The breakfast they serve is more then enough to start the day. Within a few steps you are in the center. A very, véry small point of criticism: it is not the classiest neighborhood, but a grumbler who pays attention.

I would rate my experience with five stars out of five maximum. 1. Bookings directly over the phone. 2. Location 8 minutes away from city center in a quiet, inconspicuous location. 3. Parking places on reservation 50 meters away from hotel entrance at €5 per day... 4. Friendly and professional personnel typical to family owned business. 5. High level of cleanliness and hygiene starting with the lobby...

Very very beautiful hotel with unique rooms.

Cosy place to stay. Neat rooms, enough place and nicely dressed. Kind personel and good atmosphere. Just a few hundred meters to the city centre. Nice park in front of the hotel within 100 meters.

This place is marvelous. It may not have so amenities, but you are staying in a place that was constructed about the time of Columbus' journey. Has an amazing spiral staircase.

Really cosy place. Could do with A/C but the polite staff and yummy breakfast made us forget that. Free car park and breakfast included was impressive. I recommend it!

Delicious traditional local dishes served in a lovely, half-timbered building, with an excellent beer garden. Prices are very reasonable given the atmosphere and quality of dishes.

Clean hotel and close to the highway and coffee shops

We needed to take a stopover on a longer drive and this was the perfect hotel with a small kid for a reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally clean with all the basics and a comfy bed (baby bed was offered but we did not need it). Late checking can be arranged with the gas station directly and there's a charging station for e-vehicles. There's a small playground and a simple but clean restaurant...

Cozy rooms, new furniture, everything is wonderful. A good place to rest and continue on your way. Breakfast is not included in the room rate.

Spontaneously drove off the Autobahn at 11:30 p.m. because we were too tired to continue driving. There were four of us (2 adults/2 children). At the gas station we quickly got the card and paid for it at a good price. The room was huge and beautiful. Everything very clean and hygienic. The breakfast was delicious and the area is even child friendly. We felt very comfortable and very relaxed the next...

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Clean rooms. And good breakfast as well!!!! There is also a big Shopping mall 5 min away from the hotel.

Got there last minute so does the job. Clean room and good bathroom facilities. Off road parking. Cold meat and cheese buffet with cereal and hot drinks for breakfast. We paid 70 euro on Friday before Christmas. Which was reasonable. 66 without breakfast.

Convenient location with mall across the street. Fabulous restaurant Lavastein next door. The hotel very clean and ownership very nice and professional. Great atmosphere with breakfast buffet. Comfortable surroundings. Stay a day or a week like we did and leave like family.

Stellenweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber ein gutes Bett und ein sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Für ein Wochenende ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

很喜歡Kassel這個城市，安靜整潔舒適！這家酒店也特別好，距離火車站不到2km,。酒店旁邊有個花園，酒店能夠俯瞰其他地方，心情舒暢呀！

Unfortunately our room wasn't clean and the toilet didn't flush. We then got a new room, but there was a broken shower tap and the bathroom wasn't really clean. We expected a little more for the price.

The hotel was fine for a basic short stay. It seemed clean and reasonably priced. The gym and sauna at the time of visit were available for 1 hour blocks for one person, which was nice. Some of the staff were not so friendly. The food (salmon) was way overcooked but the breakfast was good. The underground parking was way too overpriced (€18 per day).

Small but conveniently located minutes away from the main train station. Good service, good breakfast, nice bar and a small but well equipped gym. The price/quality ratio is good. Unfortunately not a great place to be on hot days as there is no air conditioning in the rooms.

The photos and features urgently need to be updated. According to the staff, the pool and sauna have not been active since Corona. The bar in the hotel was also closed two hours before closing time. The location is good as it is right next to the motorway.

This is a hotel I often book when I travel to Germany on business. It has good conditions in all aspects. I would like to recommend it.

This hotel is in a very good location, in the city center, within walking distance to the Chocolate Museum and Cologne Cathedral. The hotel management is also very good!
