Where to stay in Kassel

What a great hotel. This is the hotel where we always stay. The swimming pool and sauna is very good. The staff were very nice and pleasant. Thank you Lastrada hotel. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

La Strada is a place you want to lodge of you are around Kassel. The ambience, space, friendly staffs is top notch. I will surely lodge again if around Kassel

A hotel booked for symposium with Bode die tur. A great location but why of why don’t they have air conditioning: but service was good.

Very good hotel. Incredibly clean in the rooms. Very large and spacious. Beds are very comfy, shower pressure excellent. Rooms very quiet and great value.

+ Spacious room, clean toilet, tasty buffet at the restaurant, quiet surroundings - The wifi was useless, limited amenities, the front desk was quite slow to organize check-in for large groups, no refrigerator, no coffee/tea maker in the room, a bit overpriced

The hotel was fine for a basic short stay. It seemed clean and reasonably priced. The gym and sauna at the time of visit were available for 1 hour blocks for one person, which was nice. Some of the staff were not so friendly. The food (salmon) was way overcooked but the breakfast was good. The underground parking was way too overpriced (€18 per day).

Small but conveniently located minutes away from the main train station. Good service, good breakfast, nice bar and a small but well equipped gym. The price/quality ratio is good. Unfortunately not a great place to be on hot days as there is no air conditioning in the rooms.

Great stay and good food. Underground parking a bit expensive at €18 (outch). Had an extra charge on my credit card after checkout and still haven’t figured out what for. Not good. Otherwise would have been 5*

Room was average for the money and the star rating I was expecting more is regards quality. It was a smoking room but needs some plug in or spray to help with the stale smoke smell. Comfortable beds and clean sheets.

Especially the food and the rooms are very good. The front desk staff was mediocre because we got barely any information upfront and find out thing ourselves. Seminar room was okay.

The room was as expected and there is a good restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was also good. Nothing to complain in general. When you stay there for business travel and you have to go to VW, it is even a faster drive distance as google says.

Hotel is in a nicely quiet spot in the city. Tram is right outside, easily get around the city. Grocery store around the corner is great. Rooms are a little small and warm but satisfied our needs. Wonderful European breakfast. Has a fitness room and sauna on the top floor. Great staff to help with anything you might need, thank you Irina!

Good food, nice staff. Wifi is an issue if ur room is at the end of a corridor...avoid room numbers ending xx16 . But besides that hotel is really fine.

Perfect location, right at the WILHELMSHÖHE schloss and the park with absolutely beautiful views. The staff was friendly. However for a 4 star hotel and the price our room and bathroom seemed small and outdated. Breakfast wasn’t great with slow service, long queue to coffee machine and rather stale baked goods. I guess it’s all about the location here but small improvements would create a great experience...

Excellent hotel! Smooth process at all levels. Plentiful buffet in the evening and in the morning. We had a great room, very clean, just the design of what is supposed to be a sink took a little getting used to. My recommendation: take advantage of the many offers and have a great time!

Great!!! Hotel, food, spa! I have rarely been to such a beautiful hotel. The quality is evident from the service to the food and high quality drinks. And all this is again crowned with a breathtaking environment. We will come again next year

Decent hotel, we stayed in their biggest suite which was like $600+ a night. I did like the suite and the huge deck was nice too but the decor was a little questionable at times. I didn't really mind that though, my biggest issue was the service. The staff was often rude or straight up condescending, especially during check-in. While their breakfast options weren't bad I expected more for $600+ a night

Relaxed luxury in a beautiful natural setting. We enjoyed a short break here, loved the breakfast buffet and had a tasty (vegetarian) dinner. We enjoyed a 'garden room's that has a breathtaking view. The staff is friendly and takes it's time for questions. Very appreciated!

Late arrival, but the staff was friendly and efficient. The room had everything we needed for our stay. Some of the other clientele may have been a bit sketch, but quieted down by 2100 so not a problem. Pool and spa closed because of COVID. Hotel could use a little TLC from corporate to spiff things up a bit in the lobby and hallways but it was a refuge for a much needed rest from travel. Departed...

The rooms are fresh and nice, the receptionist felt really Serviceminded, the breakfast was"ok" but definitly not worth 15€ for the small amount of available options.

The room was nice only I had a room in the side of the road so it have a lot of noise at night with the window open. The room was very hot. Breakfast was good but a bit expensive.

The good: the pool and sauna, the inside looks fine. The receptionists is friendly. The bad: the food is very plain/boring, the surrounding area is dead and close to noise road.

We had junior suite which was more than enough for a family of 5. Good clean room and bathroom, good choice for breakfast and little things like sweeties and public transport tickets made our stay a bit more special. Thank you.

Nice and clean hotel in Kassel, offering a great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff that spoke excellent English. Quiet during the night even though it's in the center of town, next to a station. The room was really nice, spacious and clean. Although we were two people sharing, there was enough space for both of us to move around and unpack our luggage. We'd definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel. Spacious and super clean room but I didn't like the fact that one of my room neighbors hit the wall yelling at me because I was talking (not shouting) on the phone and he was probably trying to sleep. Hotel rooms are supposed to be hermetically closed once the door is shut.

Nice Hotel. Breakfast always incl. in room charge. Breakfast on the bill mentioned with 4.80€. Perfect price for all people employed in Germany. Rooms are small and you should try to get a room located at the back of the building. Cobblestones on the road might bother your sleep.

very good hotel. The room is bright and comfortable. Breakfast buffet with a wide selection. Swimming pool and sauna are available for guests. The tram stop is just a few meters from the hotel and tickets are free for guests. We recommend . I will gladly come again!

Das Hotel liegt fast neben dem Bahnhof, was es zu einem tollen Ort macht. Die Zimmer sind riesig und die Aussicht von der letzten Etage ist unglaublich. Sie können sogar den Herkules in der Ferne sehen. :) Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, vor allem für den günstigen Preis!

I have been there on three different occasions, its very well maintained. I was attending meetings and the halls are quite big and can accommodate up to 200 people (just a guess, I might be wrong with numbers). Its a nice place for meetings and parties in the conference hall. Restaurant is also decent and very pleasent. Its right next to Kassel Bahnhof and location is optimal for people travelling...

Very good hotel. It doesn't look too pretty outside, but when you enter you will be surprised how beautiful it is. The room we had was very comfortable, if a little small. The bed was just right. The bathroom was spacious and had both the bath and a shower. There is a great restaurant in the hotel too. Book through the internet, as they have higher prices for people from the street.

Ok Hotel and price/quality is correct. Clean and OK standard, but no a/c in room so be prepared for a hot night during summertime. Hotel itself could have got 4 stars, but poor service and breakfast made me drop to 3 stars.

The room was great. It felt like a modern version of a 1950s room with earth tones, lots of wood trim and furnishings and natural uncarpeted floors. Both the room and bathroom were very large for both city center and European standards. Location couldn't be better downtown, near a number of good restaurants and shopping.

I like best westerns. In that case too. Large, comfortable rooms, quite nights and fantastic breakfast buffet. However, TV signal was broken and wasn't´t repaired within the afternoon ( Friday) as we were there + check in time is 15:30!!!

Very clean rooms, good service. Nicely situated in the center of the city. Fitness center attached to the hotel is excellent. The restaurant and fitness center are both located in adjoining mall, tho. A/c not really functioning in the room, and room service is only cold dishes. But very comfortable, generally.

Very friendly and helpful reception. I booked on the go while traveling therefore I wasn’t expecting much and instead I was amazed how nice was the room which was given to me on the 5th floor with outstanding terrace and view! We had a lovely stay at the Best Western Kurfurst Wilhelm 1 hotel. Super friendly staff! We stayed with two small children. We had more than enough space. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast had a nice selection and had warm croissants etc. Next visit will definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel in a kind of old style, my room was quite large as well as the bathroom. Some maintenance would be nice but everything is working fine. The position, just outside the train station, is perfect for travelers. I've found some good restaurant very code to the hotel, the hotel restaurant is not bad but eventually for a quick dinner.

We stayed here for one night while on our way through. It doesn't look like much, but the staff are friendly and the rooms have everything you need. It's well located within the city, a short walk from the Hbf and the main shopping area.
