Very good hotel. Incredibly clean in the rooms. Very large and spacious. Beds are very comfy, shower pressure excellent. Rooms very quiet and great value.

+ Spacious room, clean toilet, tasty buffet at the restaurant, quiet surroundings - The wifi was useless, limited amenities, the front desk was quite slow to organize check-in for large groups, no refrigerator, no coffee/tea maker in the room, a bit overpriced

Perfect location, right at the WILHELMSHÖHE schloss and the park with absolutely beautiful views. The staff was friendly. However for a 4 star hotel and the price our room and bathroom seemed small and outdated. Breakfast wasn’t great with slow service, long queue to coffee machine and rather stale baked goods. I guess it’s all about the location here but small improvements would create a great experience...

Excellent hotel! Smooth process at all levels. Plentiful buffet in the evening and in the morning. We had a great room, very clean, just the design of what is supposed to be a sink took a little getting used to. My recommendation: take advantage of the many offers and have a great time!

Great!!! Hotel, food, spa! I have rarely been to such a beautiful hotel. The quality is evident from the service to the food and high quality drinks. And all this is again crowned with a breathtaking environment. We will come again next year

Decent hotel, we stayed in their biggest suite which was like $600+ a night. I did like the suite and the huge deck was nice too but the decor was a little questionable at times. I didn't really mind that though, my biggest issue was the service. The staff was often rude or straight up condescending, especially during check-in. While their breakfast options weren't bad I expected more for $600+ a night

Very nice hotel and staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Nice room. Nearby both the railway station, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe and Zoo am Rammelsberg. The only drawback is the traffic on the street outside, paved with cobblestone so every car makes a lot of noise. Nothing the hotel can do something about, and sleeping with the window shut may silence some of it.

20 minutes to breakfast closing i couldn’t order eggs; no excuse, no explanation, just: “NO”. 15 minutes to breakfast closing i couldn’t sit in the breakfast area. i come here to rest, not to get told what to do or what i can’t have.

-Room facing the main road, window cannot be opened as it is very loud -Minibar broken, cannot be used, only received the answer to a complaint: "Problem is known", no solution to the problem -Door chip card broken, room door can only be opened after trying several times (holding it against the sensor in all directions), problem passed on to staff but no improvement -Beds very uncomfortable, mattress...

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms do have a safe and refrigerated mini bar and to my surprise a bathtub. Breakfast includes everything from eggs, bacon, cheese, jogurt, fresh fruits and breads. There is a tram stop directly in front of the hotel making it very easy to travel around. Checking in and out is very easy and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

The food was delicious. We were served by two women, the first one wasn't friendly and didn't feel like serving us. After a while we got another employee. We felt much more comfortable with her because she knew something about service and friendliness. The selection of dishes was sufficient.

Quite good location - all else is ok

The room was great. It felt like a modern version of a 1950s room with earth tones, lots of wood trim and furnishings and natural uncarpeted floors. Both the room and bathroom were very large for both city center and European standards. Location couldn't be better downtown, near a number of good restaurants and shopping.

I like best westerns. In that case too. Large, comfortable rooms, quite nights and fantastic breakfast buffet. However, TV signal was broken and wasn't´t repaired within the afternoon ( Friday) as we were there + check in time is 15:30!!!

Very clean rooms, good service. Nicely situated in the center of the city. Fitness center attached to the hotel is excellent. The restaurant and fitness center are both located in adjoining mall, tho. A/c not really functioning in the room, and room service is only cold dishes. But very comfortable, generally.

Very friendly and helpful reception. I booked on the go while traveling therefore I wasn’t expecting much and instead I was amazed how nice was the room which was given to me on the 5th floor with outstanding terrace and view! I felt like I was in a small castle back in time! Thanks a lot and whenever I will be traveling around that area I for sure will book again here.

We spent a weekend here in the hotel with friends to see Kassel and we are very impressed with the hotel. The rooms are newly furnished and there is nothing missing in the room that you need for a weekend, the firm mattresses make for a very good night's sleep and it is beautifully clean. When visiting relatives in Kassel, it is not easy to find a nice hotel for one or two nights. The Hotel Palmenbad offers a very nice option: very good location near Wilhelmshöhe Park, tram in front of the building and good parking. The building is old but overall in good condition. The rooms have the odd scratch but that doesn't really bother you. The facilities are good, there are Nespresso machines...

Comfortable, beautiful rooms. Modernly equipped with Apple TV and all streaming services. Family-like, friendly service both in the hotel and in the adjoining restaurant. Each room is individually designed and can be requested when booking. The restaurant is highly recommended - super delicious food and good service.

We stayed overnight on a long trip, so just one night but it was lovely, they were super-nice with our two young kids and put us at ease. We would love to come back again!

It’s in good location close to the train station and about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. But it’s an old hotel, and everything in it is old but the beds are comfortable.

Centrally located and very friendly staff! The equipment is simple and a bit older, but everything you need is there and very clean! The breakfast in buffet form is also recommended, everything is of good quality and it is "replenished" until shortly before the end of breakfast time. In short, great value for money, we'd love to come back!

Not modern, but good. It still has a lot of 50s interior. If you like that kind of stuff you should visit. Pretty much in the centre of Kassel. Parking might be an issue. Only payed on public parking place.

The hotel in itself is ok. The location is good and the rooms are comfy enough. But, the hotel could do with some upgrading when it comes to furniture and paint etc. The bathroom was really sad. The breakfast was not up to scratch either. One plus was the super friendly front desk staff.

The little hotel is good for what it is - catering to travellers who stay for just one night. Room and bed was clean, breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. Price is very reasonable.

A 2 star hotel you can book for a reasonable price. The hotel is located just 500 metres from the city area. A tram stop is about 150 metres away. Parking is free of charge on the premises of the hotel, but there are only 5 parking spaces available. The price for breakfast is 10 Euros now.

The Novostar Hotel Kassel is located in a rather unfriendly area right on the main street with trams. At night we had to sleep with the window closed because the noise from the street and the strange people was extreme. Since the documenta Kassel took place this weekend, the double room was clearly too expensive at €120. The rooms are very small and the furnishings are reminiscent of the 80s. The bathroom...

Small and simple room but it has all basics and clean. The people from the hotel were very kind. It was nice to stay there!

Friendly staff. Walking distance to the city center and train station. Not the cleanest neighborhood. Room very clean with a large window. Shower doesn't drain very fast.

All in all it is okay. A cheap hotel compared to other hotels in Kassel. Breakfast was good. The area is not the cleanest in Kassel, and it can be loud due to party music and traffic on the street, but for 1-2 nights it is still okay. Reception is only open Monday-Friday 06:30 - 22:00, and Saturday-Sunday 07:30-18:00.

Stayed for one night while visiting Documenta 15. Hotel only 3 stops or short walk from Friedrichsplatz, so very well located for that. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very reasonable for €5. Only complaint was wi-fi, which was fine in the lobby area, but didn't work in my room at all.

Nice hotel, conveniently located close to the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortabel. The only minor downside was that the room was a bit noisy due to the busy street, but closing the windows solved the problem. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

This family run hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Kassel. The staff is very friendly, the selection at the breakfast buffet is broad and of good quality, the rooms and bathroom have been nicely renovated, it is close to the station. I would definitely go back.

A charming hotel with a beautiful relaxing courtyard next to a church, a nice restaurant and very good breakfast selection. The rooms can be small but they are comfortable and quiet. Staff not overly friendly but business-like and efficient.

I was concerned about the heat so I called the hotel to confirm that they had Air Conditioning and was told that they did. But, they do not. Even though it was relatively cool out and we had our own fan we were uncomfortably hot. I would recommend getting a room facing the courtyard, sheltered from the sun and away from the street noise. A beautiful, quaint hotel near the city centrum. It is build inside an old church and the love for detail for the decorations really impressed me. I loved the ambiance, the staff was very friendly and helpful and we had a very delicious breakfast. We are definitely going to come back.

I don't regret staying here: the location is excellent, particularly for Documenta visiting, and the historical features of the hotel are both fascinating and visually appealing. I did not realize, however, that the building's historical status means that they can not install air conditioning, and by the 2nd day of our stay that was becoming a problem. Really cosy place. Could do with A/C but the polite staff and yummy breakfast made us forget that. Free car park and breakfast included was impressive. I recommend it!

Delicious traditional local dishes served in a lovely, half-timbered building, with an excellent beer garden. Prices are very reasonable given the atmosphere and quality of dishes.

We needed to take a stopover on a longer drive and this was the perfect hotel with a small kid for a reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally clean with all the basics and a comfy bed (baby bed was offered but we did not need it). Late checking can be arranged with the gas station directly and there's a charging station for e-vehicles. There's a small playground and a simple but clean restaurant...

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Clean rooms. And good breakfast as well!!!! There is also a big Shopping mall 5 min away from the hotel.

Got there last minute so does the job. Clean room and good bathroom facilities. Off road parking. Cold meat and cheese buffet with cereal and hot drinks for breakfast. We paid 70 euro on Friday before Christmas. Which was reasonable. 66 without breakfast.

Great room, clean, comfortable, quiet. Big bathroom with tub. Dog friendly (they even provided good dogfood, which our dog loved). Parking on site. Great breakfast. Good location near beautiful park. I found the hotel's furniture old and big for the room. Breakfast was very good. It is far from everything. Beds were comfortable. We slept as babies.

If you need a place to sleep for a night or two, this hotel would be a great choice. There was one issue though, we booked 2 rooms and one of them had no air conditioning. Great stay at Pentahotel Kassel! Super kid-friendly, staff made us feel welcome as a family, rooms are comfy, and location near the station is perfect. Unfortunately our room wasn't clean and the toilet didn't flush. We then got a new room, but there was a broken shower tap and the bathroom wasn't really clean. We expected a little more for the price.

The photos and features urgently need to be updated. According to the staff, the pool and sauna have not been active since Corona. The bar in the hotel was also closed two hours before closing time. The location is good as it is right next to the motorway.
