We would like to emphasize the special friendliness and willingness to help of the staff. They have a satisfactory solution for every situation.
The rooms are well equipped and very clean, with very good box spring beds. However, there is no small refrigerator for the guests' daily drinks and the small remaining snacks of the day.
The breakfast buffet is very tasty and extensive, very inviting.
The price-performance ratio is completely fine.
The location of the hotel is in the immediate vicinity of the pier on the shopping street, it couldn't be better if you like that.
There is a free parking lot for hotel guests behind the hotel. Unfortunately, this is no longer available everywhere in Kühlungsborn.
Almost every hotel charges fees for this, the “Traube” doesn’t do that.
And anyone who talks about youth hostel flair is exaggerating in the completely wrong direction!!!
And, one more thing: the food smells from the Italian restaurant below are very limited.
We had room 11 facing the street on the 1st floor diagonally above the restaurant and we didn't smell anything with the window open.
For people who make quick decisions like us, a top address!!

We stayed in apartment 1 for 2 nights. The size of the room was adequate, there was only a lack of space in the bathroom and the closet was much too small. The location is good and quiet despite the central location. The breakfast is good and sufficient. The room and breakfast is well worth the money.

The hotel has a unique location, only 150m from the pier. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The staff at the reception and in the breakfast room were very friendly and courteous. Only the cleanliness left something to be desired. The rooms were not vacuumed or wiped once in 7 days and that at the Baltic Sea, where you always inadvertently have some sand on your shoes. Sink and shower weren't cleaned either. The only thing that was done every day was the bed. It didn't look much different on arrival. In the bathroom there was still the hair of the previous room, next to the bed there was chocolate paper of the previous guest, and there was toothpaste residue on the sink. The receptionist immediately set about fixing everything, even though it was not her job. But unfortunately the impression stuck.

We had room number 6 for an overnight stay booked at short notice. Contrary to other reviews, it was clean, but only slightly larger than a walk-in closet. We would not have wanted to spend several nights here.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast more like sufficient.
Overall, as in all of Kühlungsborn, the price-performance ratio is not right. 189 euros for an overnight stay is not possible in this house. Presumably, you want to incur the corona losses (which did not even exist) that way.
In this life it was the only night in this house.

We were happy. Double room with breakfast for two nights in the small hotel for 300 euros (August)
What did we get? Room 17
Comparable to a converted shed. Building next to the hotel.
The patio door was also the entrance. This came towards us when we opened it. That was also the only draft. Bedclothes clammy, so you don't want to sleep in them. The front door was the only way to ventilate. Still hair from? 🤷♀️ It smelled musty.
A tiny pantry.
No comparison to the pictures on the website.

But stay away from room 17 and 18 it should be offered. It's right off the mark.
