Room a bit outdated, great service and location.

Good overall, would stay again Really good stay. Room was huge, staff very friendly. Only drawback was the mattress sank below the bed frame making it hard to get in and out. Breakfast was fantastic

I'm visiting Lingen every year in march and last 5 years I'm using the Hotel am Wasserfall. A very nice hotel on a very special place. The Wehr (waterfall) is making some noise, but it is a nice noice of falling water. There is a lot of nature around and you can make very nice, long and interesting walks through the neighborhood. The hotel has a brand new breakfast room, very nice, clean and modern...

Phenomenal!!! The owner, chef, manager went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The food was amazing. Our room was very clean. The entire staff was very friendly. Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of Lingen. Highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are anywhere near Lingen. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and their staff.

Very friendly staff. Hotel was undergoing renovations but didn’t affect our stay. Restaurant was good value and typical German fare. Beds were a bit hard but overall good value and pleasant stay

We stayed here when we visited the christmas market of Lingen. It was a good location as the Christmas market is like 2 minute walk from the hotel however we did not hear any noise from the xmas market. It is in a shopping street with some nice local stores. The hotel is in a very quiet location, right in the historic center of Lingen. Everything is clean and tidy, the rooms are very tastefully decorated. It shouldn't bother you that only a small number of the rooms are in the historic building. The majority are in a successful new building.

The hotel is beautifully furnished, very modern and chic! We just found the toilets to be too high (even though we are 1.70 and 1.80 tall) and the shower cubicles are difficult to close, which meant that our bathroom flooded. The hotel is very nicely located and close to the center - we didn't find it particularly quiet... because it's in an alley, it might echo a bit more!

We felt very comfortable! The rooms are clean and modern. The location is great. The breakfast buffet is sufficient. The free parking is about a two-minute walk away. A visit to Lingen and an overnight stay in the castle hotel are worth every trip.

A nice place to stay. Unfortunately, it was really hot weather so I missed air conditioning in the room - while it might not be required usually. Parking and WiFi with great signal quality in room was included. I'd strongly recommend breakfast, since they offer scrambled eggs freshly prepared on demand and a broad variety of bread rolls. Staff was very friendly.

Stayed here with my wife & daughter overnight on our road trip together. Very well run, friendly & accommodating traditional hotel. Lovely grounds & biergarten .We had dinner here and all the meals were well prepared, as was the included breakfast the next morning. The hosts were attentive & welcoming.

First of all, the hotel makes a nice impression. My room, however, was rather barren and uncomfortable and faced the street. That wasn't so ideal. But it was neat and tidy. We were a small family in the hotel for the first time and felt very comfortable. The lady at reception was extremely friendly, it almost seemed as if we were visiting. The room was clean and tidy with a small kitchenette and basic amenities. Breakfast was simple but delicious.

Single room is ok as long as man is under 185cm tall, so small bed! Small cooking niche with bathroom in the bedroom with shower and toilet, small balcony, non-smoking room! Towels are regularly exchanged, only bed linen rarely has to be addressed! Overall great for the money!

Great hotel in the meppen area. It is family-owned and has a great breakfast. Spend a few nights at the bar with friends downstairs and they told me the restaurant there was good as well. Very close to the town center and the staff is super friendly. It seems to be the only place I stay when I'm in Meppen

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in Meppen, don't have a second thought. A well maintained hotel with a tinge of antiquity. The service is also commentable. The main market is also nearby.

This was a very brief overnight stop off so we didn't get to know the hotel well. But the check-in was swift and easy, the lady at breakfast was really helpful as we 'grabbed and went', and the hotel is nicely laid out and clean. Clearly used a lot by tradesmen on overnight journeys. and I'd say it was ideal for them

Quite nice big place, although full of contrasts- as if they weren't able to decide for old or modern style. Room was spacious, however, it smelled little bit old despite the modern furniture. What I also don't understand is a massive bathroom with only a tiny shower. Staff is super friendly though and breakfast was pretty good. Arrival is confusing since they have no Parking signs from the street

Its a very nice hotel, with nice rooms and a good breakfast. The location is a bit far from anything so it is very quiet, but without a restaurant or swimming pool/sauna to offer it is a bit too little value for the price.

I stopped at this hotel as I was visiting friends. It was still being renovated at the time which was not of any inconvenience you only new the workers where there from the skips at the side of the hotel. Our room had just been finished, a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and fresh the service personnel were very helpful and informative of the area .....what to see and do

Pleasant quiet room with excellent breakfast. Everything is clean and well maintained. Bentheim Castle is about 10m walk. Beware restaurant closed on Sundays.

One-night stay in this traditional farmhouse hotel. We liked the quiet location and the good bed, also the cleanliness. We agreed with the other reviews about the unfriendly restaurant staff, none of them seem to want to be there, let alone let you feel welcome. A beautiful property with a very good restaurant. Everything was spotlessly clean, the tables were set with fabric and the food was excellent. The tagliatelle with shrimp was incredibly tasty. I have never enjoyed such good and juicy shrimp. The pork fillet with new asparagus was also very good. Gladly again soon.

Located in the middle of greenery with a golf course and sauna. Also an ideal starting point for cycling. The rooms are comfortable, but have little quirks here and there. Service and cleanliness is excellent. There is a minibar in this hotel, but with high prices. The surroundings are simply beautiful and invite you to take long walks or bike rides. I'm looking forward to next time!

We had already booked the holiday apartment on the first floor of the Spieker in winter a long time ago. We felt very comfortable there back then. The rooms were very clean, the location was perfect, quiet and very scenic. We really enjoyed our walks in the area and were able to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Maybe one day we'll come back here. :)

It's absolutely an amazing place to stay. I have been traveling a lot and staying in many hotels, and this one is really good. The staff is really friendly and always open to help. A gem of a hotel in the heart of Rheine. Cascada Hotel is next to the river Ems. The sound of the water and small waterfall is very relaxing (if you have a river facing room). Extremely delicious breakfast! Too good to have time for pictures, good 😀 Hope to revisit with more time to enjoy the terrace and restaurant!

The rooms are nice and spacious. Location is good and the food you can get in the restaurant is great. Only downside for me are the beds are not great but not so bad you can't sleep at all.

Overall a very quiet place in the center of Haren. You can enjoy the nature just a few minutes away from it. Friendly and helpful stuff. Everything was great, except the fact you have no fridge or iron in the rooms.

We arrived early and the let us check in no problem. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean. On the flight over from the USA, I lost a diamond earring, and thought it was gone. It must have got caught up in my clothing somewhere and fallen out in the hotel. The cleaning person found it and placed it on the table for me to see. I really appreciate their honesty. House keeping tried to enter room forcibly I was very shocked that room service tried to enter my room TWICE without me giving consent. At 9am on a Sunday, they knocked on my door and after I indicated that someone was in the room, they tried to open the door with their key. Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff and good food. The room was large, warm and had an excellent bathroom. There was a lovely view of the local countryside. The restaurant is well above average and the food was excellent, though fairly expensive. The staff were all helpful and courteous. The area is very quiet, but good for cycling and walking.

Because of huge traffic on the way from Poland we arrive to Gronau at 11 p.m. Every hotel was closed. We couldn’t find any spot to sleep, and then the nicest host ever when she was almost leaving home she checked in us because see saw that we are in need, and don’t have where to stay.
