We arrived very early, but were able to get into our room right away which was much appreciated. Friendly staff. A large room and beautiful bathroom with both shower and tub. We were with our granddaughter from October 26th to October 30th. a guest there. So, we were absolutely satisfied with the staff, the equipment, which of course was older, but comfortable. The food was freshly prepared and the prices were reasonable. The breakfast in particular was delicious and sufficient. You can always complain!

We had a room with our own sauna in the bathroom (# 82) which was great. Everything was super clean and it was very quiet and even though the rooms next to us were occupied, we didn't hear anyone. Very nice inn. Very good tasty food. The boss is very friendly and takes care of his guests. We stayed here. The rooms were ok. The breakfast was served (due to the corona), everything was plentiful and fresh from the butcher (the sausage). We could park and load the bikes in the garage.

Were there with a biker group. The rooms are simple, but perfectly adequate and very clean and tidy. In terms of price, you absolutely cannot complain. Our stay was very nice, you feel welcome and you get everything you need. Our highlight (besides the great host) was the shoe dryer :). The room was clean and comfortable enough, local tips were free, and breakfast was a great way to start the day. The room was clean and bathroom recently renovated. The problem was that heating was turned off eventhough temperatures were low. Turning on the radiator in combination with carpet floors made the air unbearable for someone with lung problems.

Fantastic hotel, with exceptionally good food (I ate breakfast and dinner), friendly staff, generously sized rooms and convenient below-ground parking. A ironing room is available for use, and the staff were only too happy to help. The only thing missing from the bedroom was a kettle - a shame, as the restaurant stopped making hot drinks early in the evening. Will definitely stay here again!

The bed is a little narrower. I have the feeling that as a holidaymaker you are not in such good hands. Business people or fitters leave the house pretty quickly. Vacationers like to sleep a little longer and you have the feeling you should leave the house quickly and have breakfast early so that it can be cleared and cleaned. It is very near to bhanhof and is in the city centre. People are also nice and not so much expensive also. Overall looks good. Rooms are big and beautiful.

We booked like 10 double-bed rooms at the Hotel Ilmenauer Hof. So the reservation and cancellation of the room numbers were smooth as well as the check-in and check-out process. The rooms were all clean and kinda cozy, same as the bathrooms. What I didn't like was the keen of hearing of the dorms, as this could be kinda annoying. The breakfast was quite basic, but good as you just pay 6€ per breakfast...

The room was clean but it was bit cold. There was not so many options in breakfast. No vegetarian or halal food. Otherwise, it was very much up to the stanard.

Slept here on our way north. Clean room, but mattresses really not the best. Breakfast was over standard compared to what you can expect in this price class. We were positively surprised. Check in was smooth and a nice and helpful receptionist. Place is acceptable for a quick stop over!

Suhl sounds like a good name for an evil wizard. The best hotel stay I've had in ages. Nothing fancy, but everything just worked as it should. You need your chip to work the lift. That slowed me down a minute but i am not a smart man.

Young boy, I am stranded here because I had a flat tire. Price performance is okay but not great. I don't know when my bathroom mirror was last cleaned in my room, but maybe too high standards for you who knows. When you took a shower there were still any names on the mirror that you could see about the condensation / steam that of course makes me think how clean the rest is ... One should definitely...

Went to Suhl to research my famìly history All the staff at hotel and townhall and Church where every helpful. Hotel had recent upgrades and good rooms . The rooms all have working air conditioners which seems rare in Europe. I would recommend this hotel .

Great service! I had accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day, but the desk clerk was able to accommodate me by replacing my double room reservation with two single room reservations for the corrrect day and didn't charge me any additional fees for what was truly my mistake.
