It's an amazing place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food is very good and all facilities are very nice. The only critism. The pool table needs a bit of tlc. The gym is very small and limited.

The hotel is a bit dated from the outside, the staff is very courteous and friendly and helpful. A very nice swimming pool with a warm temperature invites you to swim. The steam sauna is great but lacks a good scent, We spent 3 wonderful days there and thank the management of the hotel and the staff!

Highly recommended: nice reception, clean room with everything you need, including several pillows. In the beer garden/inn there is a wide selection of dishes and friendly service. Breakfast very extensive. Vending machine for drinks and snacks accessible 24/7. Great starting point for hikes, bike and cross-country ski tours.

Very friendly reception. Generally friendly staff. The food in the beer garden was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The bathroom too. Beds were also very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night but would book again immediately if we were in the area again. Were there with a biker group. The rooms are simple, but perfectly adequate and very clean and tidy. In terms of price, you absolutely cannot complain. The owner is really interested in the well-being of his guests and tries to make a lot possible. Food (half board) was excellent. Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Super nice area. Our stay was very nice, you feel welcome and you get everything you need. Our highlight (besides the great host) was the shoe dryer :). The room was clean and comfortable enough, local tips were free, and breakfast was a great way to start the day. So saying goodbye to the Thuringian Forest was a bit difficult, but the memory is saved. So, the bottom line: you can stay well there.

We booked like 10 double-bed rooms at the Hotel Ilmenauer Hof. So the reservation and cancellation of the room numbers were smooth as well as the check-in and check-out process. The rooms were all clean and kinda cozy, same as the bathrooms. What I didn't like was the keen of hearing of the dorms, as this could be kinda annoying. The breakfast was quite basic, but good as you just pay 6€ per breakfast...

The room was clean but it was bit cold. There was not so many options in breakfast. No vegetarian or halal food. Otherwise, it was very much up to the stanard.

Slept here on our way north. Clean room, but mattresses really not the best. Breakfast was over standard compared to what you can expect in this price class. We were positively surprised. Check in was smooth and a nice and helpful receptionist. Place is acceptable for a quick stop over!

While the location is unbeatable and the views are stunning, the rooms are average at most, mattresses are ok, cushions are super thin and not really usable. We signed up for the buffet dinner at EUR 29 including drinks. Pretty expensive for what we actually got: Worst buffet I´ve seen in a long time, meat was dry, the Spaetzle and rice were tasteless. The Ringberghotel high above Suhl is an impressive building, worth a visit just for its open location! Panoramic views, clean and functional rooms. The food tasted great, the service was friendly and polite. Despite the Corona requirements, the guest feels comfortable and is happy to return!

Very convenient location, city center, easy to get to. I can only rate the restaurant. Waiting time was 30 minutes (full restaurant) and the menu is very small but nice. You can get your money's worth here. The food is in the average price range (10-20 €). The food was served warm and nicely presented. It was very tasty and you get full here. Really good location if arriving to Suhl by train as it is right in front of the station. Breakfast is nice and simple with fruits available. Room was nice and spacious, wish there was AC but those are rare in Germany.

Suhl sounds like a good name for an evil wizard. The best hotel stay I've had in ages. Nothing fancy, but everything just worked as it should. You need your chip to work the lift. That slowed me down a minute but i am not a smart man.

Young boy, I am stranded here because I had a flat tire. Price performance is okay but not great. I don't know when my bathroom mirror was last cleaned in my room, but maybe too high standards for you who knows. When you took a shower there were still any names on the mirror that you could see about the condensation / steam that of course makes me think how clean the rest is ... One should definitely...

Went to Suhl to research my famìly history All the staff at hotel and townhall and Church where every helpful. Hotel had recent upgrades and good rooms . The rooms all have working air conditioners which seems rare in Europe. I would recommend this hotel .

The personal was really friendly and always serviable. The room was very beautiful, clean, fully equiped, warm. Every day came cleaning personal. The view ist splendid. The location is 15 minutes to the city centre. The breakfast was great and complete. The restaurant was fabulous but the antmosphere was not so detense.

A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. The house is getting on in years. But the rooms are nicely renovated and clean. It's pretty central in a quiet area. The breakfast is sufficient and therefore the price-performance ratio is ok.

Lovely castle hotel with very friendly and warm service. The rooms and bathrooms are large. In the bathroom they have nice amenities: cotton balls, cotton swabs, hair dryer etc. the castle grounds have a playground for children, archery, and volleyball. I think the website does not do the place justice. Very nice and highly recommend.

A good hotel in good location. Breakfast was not included in price but is optional. The Canadian exchange rate made it a little pricey for the cost of breakfast if you are a light eater. Plenty of coffee and pastry bistros within a 2min walk in the square is a cheaper option. Overall room was very nice, staff helpful and nice hotel, great location and quiet area.

I have stayed at this hotel twice on business and it is the most satisfying hotel in Germany. The view from the top floor windows is fantastic. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent, as well as the quality of the breakfast. Most importantly, the refrigerator and free minibar are a big help for me. If you are staying in Coburg, this is the hotel to choose❗️

I've been here many times. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are OK except the furniture that looks like an horror movie from the '70s. In some rooms the WiFi has very weak signal and in general it's not fast.

In general, the stay was successful. The staff speaks little English. There was one incident at a children's attraction. The animator couldn't take control. Parents and grandparents took over and as a result my children were made to cry three times. It was sad.
