It's an amazing place. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Food is very good and all facilities are very nice. The only critism. The pool table needs a bit of tlc. The gym is very small and limited.

We had a room with our own sauna in the bathroom (# 82) which was great. Everything was super clean and it was very quiet and even though the rooms next to us were occupied, we didn't hear anyone. We were with our granddaughter from October 26th to October 30th. a guest there. So, we were absolutely satisfied with the staff, the equipment, which of course was older, but comfortable. The food was freshly prepared and the prices were reasonable. The breakfast in particular was delicious and sufficient. You can always complain!

Solid food for hikers. It took a little long to get the food.

We arrived very early, but were able to get into our room right away which was much appreciated. Friendly staff. A large room and beautiful bathroom with both shower and tub. Heated towel racks were nice on a chilly summer day! The restaurant was quite lovely, and decorated our table beautifully to celebrate our anniversary (as I had noted on the dinner reservation). Very good breakfast.

We ate in the restaurant at the weekend, drove an extra 400 km to eat dumplings and roast meat. Simply super delicious, the staff was very nice and accommodating. We will drive the many miles again to eat here. Thanks

Were there with a biker group. The rooms are simple, but perfectly adequate and very clean and tidy. In terms of price, you absolutely cannot complain. The owner is really interested in the well-being of his guests and tries to make a lot possible. Food (half board) was excellent. Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Super nice area. Our stay was very nice, you feel welcome and you get everything you need. Our highlight (besides the great host) was the shoe dryer :). The room was clean and comfortable enough, local tips were free, and breakfast was a great way to start the day. So saying goodbye to the Thuringian Forest was a bit difficult, but the memory is saved. So, the bottom line: you can stay well there.

Beautiful location, quiet and close to nature. From here you can start hiking tours but also motorbike tours in the surrounding area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. You can also order food from them and then eat it together with them. That was unusual for me but a nice experience. We spent nice evenings. The bed is a little narrower. I have the feeling that as a holidaymaker you are not in such good hands. Business people or fitters leave the house pretty quickly. Vacationers like to sleep a little longer and you have the feeling you should leave the house quickly and have breakfast early so that it can be cleared and cleaned. Slept here on our way north. Clean room, but mattresses really not the best. Breakfast was over standard compared to what you can expect in this price class. We were positively surprised. Check in was smooth and a nice and helpful receptionist. Place is acceptable for a quick stop over!

This is a standard German 3-star hotel. Price is moderate, but the room is clean with furniture in good condition. Parking space is abundantly available, breakfast acceptable, free WiFi very fast. Other than being in Ilmenau - which isn't quite a hot spot - I can't fault this hotel for anything really. If you need to stay in town overnight, book here and you sure won't regret it.

The Ringberghotel high above Suhl is an impressive building, worth a visit just for its open location! Panoramic views, clean and functional rooms. The food tasted great, the service was friendly and polite. Despite the Corona requirements, the guest feels comfortable and is happy to return!
