Cool decor and a wide range of sporting activities both in and near to the hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable with a verandah. The food and drink was all excellent.

Excellent rooms and terrific food!

Excellent Hotel and very friendly staff! The food was delicious too and it was so good, we ate there every evening! The location is wonderful with a great view of the Elbe from the beergarden. Will definately go back!!!

Really cute hotel along the river. The staff were extremely kind and the dinner was definitely worth trying. Our room was sunny and clean. We were really happy with our stay! Only thing to note is that it is an 20-30 minute walk to pirna town and not accessible by public transport on weekends. So good if you have a bike or car but we walked and it was still ok :)

Overall the hotel is really nice. The room was a bit old and smelly, also a bit dark. On the other hand, breakfast was really nice: nice variety, good tea, very cosy breakfast area, good service. Also I can mention small parking: it is rather small, and if you come late you might need to look for the place in the city.

The cleanliness of the rooms and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff are definitely worth more than 5 stars! Very fast and stable WiFi, a very balanced buffet for breakfast (with very good coffee) and of course a great location. The price is also very reasonable for the "luxury" that you get for the relatively low price.

We visited during a major heat wave, and there was no air conditioning or way to cool down. I know this is very common in this part of the world, but it made the stay very uncomfortable. The beds were average at best. We enjoyed the breakfast and the bathrooms.

We were so enthusiastic about the Pension Königliche Ausspanne. The boss and her team put so much effort into fulfilling all wishes. Already at breakfast it starts ... all wishes are fulfilled. The food at the restaurant was exactly what I needed after a tiring hike. The staff was very courteous and helpful (as long as you could get their attention), when I expressed concern over not having tasted crayfish before, they brought me some before they prepared the meal.

We didn't stay at the hotel but we did eat at the restaurant. The server spoke great English, was quick, and kept checking on us. The location was good because it was right by a boat, people would take to go hiking. So, you could get a sweet treat right after hiking. Or a delicious meal. It was so cool because there was a robot that served your food to you. The food was delicious. We got desserts....

Very nice room with a renovated bathroom. Great location and the sauna is great after a long day of hiking taking one of many trails is the surrounding area. A comment for foreigners, the saunas are mixed and full nudity, which is common for Germany. Went here for a conference ages ago. It was excellent: people are professional and very helpful. Rooms are good, too. It is nice and quute even though it is located next to the main tourist route to Bastei. Returned last weekend for a hiking tour. Had a coffee at this place and it has not changed. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Dresden. The reception staff, room and bar were fine. Had breakfast at the hotel which was ok but limited choice. It's a 30 minute tram ride into the centre of Dresden & the tram stop is 200 metres from the hotel, or it's a 20 minute taxi ride.

The guesthouse is very quiet and a great starting point for many hikes. Parking is very easy thanks to its own free parking lot. The staff are very friendly. You have to get used to the creaking wooden floor, and unfortunately, you have to let the water run for a while before it gets warm.

The room was big enough to hold 2 people and luggage comfortably and even had a small balcony for two. Wifi was mostly ok. Like a youth hostel, but within a huge building existing since the fourteenth century. Excellent views and all doors are open, to the castle garden, the tower and the historic museum. Prices are very reasonable. Four people one might with buffet breakfast and dinner 132 EUR. Including bed linen. All very well organised, clean and spacious. Beautiful town with great hiking routes. Castle is nice and well maintained, but is a functioning hotel and youth camp, so many areas are private. I imagine starting as a guest is quite an experience though.

Absolutely fantastic place. Magnificent hilltop citadel in the midst of a charming medieval village with beautiful distant mountain views. ReallyRecommended for a daytrip if you're visiting Dresden.

Went for dinner there. Got Gulasch and Apfelstrudel both were extraordinary. Service was good. Would definitely recommend and we will visit next time when we go to Hohnstein. Location is great too,right opposite to Burg Hohnstein.

The staff was very kind. The service was very good. I enjoyed breakfast and also dinner. They have a very nice terrace. I had a room on the top floor of the hotel. It was next to the church tower. The clocks started to make noise early in the morning.

Location is in the center of the little town, place is beautiful almost at the entrance of the castle but the food is not delicious, below average 👎

The rooms were comfortable, but can be improved. The staff was very unfriendly and the restaurant was supposed to be open at 15:00, but I couldn't find anyone there. Go somewhere else if you can.

I was there with my son for a weekend last summer. The staff is super nice, very helpful (I am blind) and on request also tips on excursions, hiking trails and so on. The hotel is very clean and the food tastes delicious too. Even a massage we could treat ourselves on Sunday, which was very relaxing. We can only recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again.

Beauty area was too nice. We had a pure romance arrangement, which I highly recommend. Cozy place, decent food for friendly price

Great place for dinner, they even have an English translation of the menu. The food was really delicious for a good price. The pork tongue was really delicious, the pork steak with mushrooms was also delicious. I highly recommend this place. Also the atmosphere inside is very nice and the waiters are kind.

Great food great ambience! But the bowling alley was a little noisy from the restaurant area, I guess that can’t be helped. It is still cool that they manage to fit 3 bowling alleys in there!

The hotel was fantastic, full of wood and the steak in the restaurant was phenomenal.

Quartier 5 is a really nice 4 stars hotel! It has a really good infrastructure. From the beginning, we received a warm welcoming. The decoration inside is exquisite and I was impressed about it. We stayed here for one night during our vacation. The hotel is in a small calm village and it has everything for a great vacation. We had a double room with balcony and it is freshly renovated, very clean and decorated with a lot of love to details. Hotel close to highway Rooms are nice and comfortable. The bathroom need of renovation and is far too small. The shower is in a bathtub with a smelly shower curtain. I had to change rooms after the first night because the bathroom smelled very strongly of urine. The receptionist told me that this happens frequently in these humid weather conditions. Family trip Great hotel and breakfast! Loved the room comfort.

Clean spacious hotel rooms with good breakfast and easy parking. Friendly staff on site and close to autobahn. We had a short stay here and although it is quite out of the city we drove 15-20 mins to the Joynext Arena where there is loads of free parking. Then it's a lovely walk along the river to the centre in just 2k (20 mins) we wanted to use the ice arena at the Joynext arena anyway so worked out...

I booked this hotel for my family trip to Dresden. It was far from the center of Dresden, so it would be difficult to get there by bus. If you have a car, it's cheap, clean, and recommended.

Great breakfast! Clean room. A bit far from Dresden, but easy and convenient to reach from the highway.

The hotel is very clean and the staff super friendly. The twin beds on the other hand is pretty narrow and my son actually fell off a couple of times during the night waking me up in a fright lol.
