Nice place for rest, eat, drink.

Arrived on a normal weekday at 7:30 p.m. The reception was no longer staffed – on a Thursday, it was supposed to be open until 8 p.m. The in-house restaurant was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. However, a visit to the restaurant was not possible because it had closed three hours earlier than 10 p.m. "for financial reasons" (too few guests). There is a note about these spontaneous adjustments in the guest folder in the room, but not on the website, where I had previously checked. All in all, disappointing service and hospitality.

I chose this because I wanted more of a traditional stay. The reception / bar is decorated in dark woods, but the room was very modern. The furniture looks like IKEA style and wasn't all that comfortable. Could not control temperature as I wished but that radiator style is common in Europe. The breakfast was a typical continental style but well-prepared. It's in a very quiet part of Dresden and convenient for my purposes. Parking was free compared to some of the hotels downtown.

The food is good. We were invited [family celebration on October 22nd] and can therefore not really assess the value for money. But what must be emphasized is the service, which was extremely friendly, fast, patient and very accommodating to the not always easy crowd of guests.

Absolutely not recommended.
We were there to celebrate my grandma's birthday. The service was just absolutely sub-par. Although the restaurant was almost empty except for our group, only very rarely did anyone come to our table. When we drew attention to ourselves, it still took about 30 minutes for the drinks we ordered to arrive. Empty glasses etc. weren't cleared away but just left on the table.
Around 10:30 p.m. there was simply no one to be seen, although we were promised that the celebration would last until 1 a.m.
Supposedly at least 4 employees should be used for our party, at least there was only one waitress.
I also felt a message 3 to be cheeky! Days before the celebration (was reserved since April). It informed me that the terms and conditions had changed, which involved significant financial changes. Among other things, the tip was set at 10% of sales. With this bad service, of course, not unwise. Of course, finding an alternative 3 days beforehand is almost impossible.

The room was clean and quite large. The General Christmas stress was notice in the Hotel.
The Service was friendly and very accommodating.
The owner, Mr Rieß, gave us some very helpful tips.
At the Breakfast buffet there was nothing to suspend.
If we should be back in Dresden, we would rent a part of us in any case.

The Hotel is 100 m. from the river Elbe. Parking is sufficiently available. The room and bathroom were Clean, good Breakfast.
close to S - Bahn station, change to the old market square is not necessary, tickets are available at the front Desk. Staff very friendly, reception is Perfect, the Lord had great tips for our stay in Dresden. We come again anyway.

A beautiful, pleasant Hotel with a good kitchen (the selection might change a little more frequently), to make a good location to get quickly and easily to the centre of the city of Dresden, or walks on the river Elbe.
