Best Place to stay in Potsdam! Perfekt in everything.

nice people, nice building but if its warm weather (23deg C+) the rooms were stuffy and the A/C is fairly much non-existent. Tried 4 rooms. Staff tried their best to accommodate but the systems were just not up to the job, therefore it was expensive for a bad nights sleep.

This is a great hotel to stay. the room was excellent and the staff was very nice. Great place close to downtown Postdam and to all the sightseen places.
My only recommendation will be to improve the booking through the website. We had many issue trying to book directly in the hotel website so we had to ask our local german friend to call and ensure the reservation for us.

Unwelcoming, rude staff, uncomfortable nights sleep and they don't even seem to care.
Room request for double bed was not honoured - stuck with 2 twin beds. We were offered Room Service when we checked in - called for room service and they wouldn't do it. Asked for breakfast in the room and they didn't even bother to collect the request from the door.
Staff were unbelievably rude to us and we were made to feel completely unwelcome by almost all of them - the housekeeping staff and other guests were the only ones who seemed to have any manners. No double glazing in the rooms and cheap pillows so, all in all, a pretty poor nights sleep and bad service is what you get when you stay here.
Complained to Romantik Hotels and got a very insincere response. Stay some where else - where they actually care about their guests and their reputation.

Very disappointed, will never make reservations or stay at this Hotel again. My last cancellation was not confirmed in writing, so I still got charged without exceptions.

Very nice Hotel in a good location, nice staff; there is nothing critical, it should be noted, will definitely come back and Potsdam is always worth a visit. The many, many well maintained Parks beautiful.

Perfect hotel in central location in Potsdam. Great combination of historical charm and modern comfort. One of the view hotels that manage to integrate sockets and USB chargers into a solid looking desk in a stylish way ;-)
Service was very attentive - we travelled at COVID times and felt extremely well taken care off. Breakfast was too big for us, so we had to slim it down. And the underground parking was a little scary at first. But great stay overall.

We used the "Couples Time" offer from the hotel's website, and while the flowers and the champagne were a great touch, the two single beds pushed together with a large gap between them were not. That's not a double bed. We had to pay extra for a room with a real double bed.
Pros:
- Extremely clean. Disinfectant everywhere. All kinds of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We felt safe.
- Excellent service at breakfast
- Cool interior design
Cons:
- The bartender had no idea what she was doing, and checked every drink recipe in a booklet. The breakfast was an okay-ish hotel breakfast.
- The double bed situation
- For a four-star hotel, it's slightly disappointing
