TUI BLUE Sylt

I doubt many Americans travel to Sylt so my review may be from an atypical perspective. We were looking for a hotel option for 3 adults. The two bedroom apartment options at this location are super. I recommend the slight upgrade to a room with a bay view. Just simply too beautiful to describe the view out the window. The walk to the beach is short and convenient. Incredible beach, great for walks, sunsets, and observing nature. The hotel is south on the island so found it helpful to have a car.

Very nice place to stay at and enjoy the island, the apartments really have all necessary features to make the staying ideal and they thought of small details that add a value like shoe wee caps, vanity sets, sewing kits, shoe shining product..
One big downside though, the checkout is at 10:00 just so you know.

Stayed here for the weekend with friends. Really like the service quality both at the restaurant and at the reception. Rooms were clean and the suroundings just amazing.

One negative thing is long procedure at the check in. Definetly room for improvement.

Absolutely amazing with children! We had our 2.5 and 10 year olds with us. The little one was so happy zooming around the grounds on a Bobby Car and using the playground. The older one loved the giant outdoor chess set and the swimming pool - we did too! And the kids' pool was great.

The hotel was really clean. We were there for 2 nights and our room was cleaned twice on Saturday. We appreciated that after our trip to the beach, which was 15 mins walk away. The hotel had bollerwagens for us to cart our luggage around (and the toddler too!).
Staff were SO helpful. They looked after us really well.

Food was brilliant here. Both children LOVED the breakfast buffet. Plenty of choice (and as lactose intolerants, we loved the alternative milk bar with soya milk, lactose free milk and FOUR types of oat milk! Plus 2 lactose free types of sundae on the restaurant's ice cream menu. Amazing!).

Everything for children was thought of: small cutlery, bibs, bowls, plates etc, a low buffet for them to see and choose from, a children's menu of extra options to the adult ones, huge choice of cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast items. There was a big selection of highchairs and booster seats for all ages.
We didn't even have time to send the children upstairs to the lighthouse to play, where they would have been accompanied by a trained staff member. Ours were too busy choosing food and eating it!

We had a type 1 apartment - a sofabed for the older child and a travel baby bed in our bedroom for the toddler. Baby bedding, changing mat, safety bars for our double bed and the travel cot were all provided for us. They also provide a Babyphone but we didn't need one.

I travelled to the hotel from Hamburg on my own with the children by train from Altona (about 3 hours) with a short bus ride from Westerland to the hotel, which was 2 mins walk from the bus stop. No car needed :)

I would definitely go here again. It made a weekend away with children SO easy and so much fun! They had plenty of other facilities available that we didn't even have time to check out or use. Lots of activities for children plus bike rental, surfing lessons, spa etc.
