Reviews
The overall impression of cleaning and hygiene is not very pleasant.
Fortunately, the bed linens were fresh and clean.
I have been to many different hotels and hostels. I am sure I will choose another hotel the next time I come to Rostock
The elevator was not working well. I swiped the card and then pressed the floor button but it would remain stuck and would not move. It happened several times. Infact i thought i got stuck but somehow managed to open the door and only used the stairs afterwards.
Secondly, it was not mentioned anywhere in the website or in the paper that they gave at the reception, that checkout is only possible after 6:30am. It says that the reception is open only after 6:30am but normally like in other hotels, i should be able to leave my card at the desk whenever i want to on the checkout day before 12pm. But at this hotel, the elevator would not work to 1st floor when i came at 6am in the morning and also the floor door did not work. It was a menace for me running up and down with my luggage. I knocked hard on the floor door and noone would open. I tried calling and still noone picked up. I just wanted to leave my cards and it was not possible. My train was early and i thought that i would not be able to make it. And then after hard knocking, someone came and opened the door, i gave her the cards and ran for my train.
I have never written bad reviews or any reviews on Google before and this is my first time. Please check your elevator if its working. Also please leave your first floor doors to the reception open for people who need to checkout early. Also please attend to people who are in an emergency situation.
Even when you request it at reception — still nothing! I stayed here for 16 nights, and they cleaned my room maybe twice.
The first time, I got three towels. The second time, two. The third time — just one.
Every day, it’s the same tasteless food.
Definitely not coming back here.
The staff was lovely. The room was spacious. However the bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower was clogged up.
The hotel is presented as an art hotel, but do not expect anything special or artistic. It is a regular German business hotel; nothing really artistic or fancy (at least compared to e.g. Lisbon Art Stay Apartments Baixa).
There is no fridge or minibar in the room. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too big for us. There were 4 large pillows; we would prefer 2 less thick ones)
Wifi was realiable but the speed was limited to 10Mb down / 5Mb up only.
The cleanliness standard here is 11/10. I work in hospitality myself, and it’s clear that they followed strict guidelines here.
The hotel offers FREE tea coffee even without breakfast - which I think is great!
The rooms were very comfy and the amenities were well thought out. Furthermore the hotel design itself is very clean, modern, cozy and stylish.
Overall the only things I’d improve are the showers (water goes everywhere), the desk space in the rooms (or offer desks near reception) and last but not least a basic kettle in the rooms as I like my bedtime tea.
Apart from that 10/10!
