Policies and conditions

Children up to and including 3 years old stay for € 15 per person per night when using an available cot.
Children up to and including 6 years old stay for free when using an existing bed.
Children from 7 years old to 12 years old stay for € 20 per person per night when using an existing bed.

Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.

Spent 2 very pleasant nights here. Made to feel very welcome. Room was nice size and lovely high pressure shower. All needed when stepping off the Rheinsteig. Breakfast was very good. Location beside a beautiful church and close to many bars and sights. Would certainly recommend.

I wouldn't book the hotel again!
For a total of around EUR 170 per night, I would have expected air conditioning. At breakfast there was canned fruit salad, on Sunday at 8:30 there was no more bacon for scrambled eggs and the scrambled eggs had probably been there for a long time. With the wine festival it was very loud until well after 1:00 in the morning and because of the lack of air conditioning we had to leave the windows open. It was over 30 degrees during the day and that's certainly not unusual there. There aren't enough parking spaces either, so it's better not to move the car. The room was very small and overall the furnishings were very dated and overdecorated. Because of the small room, the television was of course also very small. The reception closed at 6 p.m. at the latest, unbelievable for a EUR 170 hotel. Very mediocre and clearly too expensive.

We just returned from a 3 week journey through Germany, and this was our last stay for 3 nights…seems we saved the best for last! Beautiful hotel, excellent staff and wonderfully managed.
There is nothing I can say negatively about this hotel. The reviews are not enough….it is a must stay to appreciate. Rüdesheim as whole is such a beautiful place!!

This is a fantastic hotel, situated close to the centre with great traditional restaurants and bars. Located close to the river for boat trips, cable car rides. They have a fascination with ducks. If the weather is hot ask receptionist for a fan for your room. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough to please.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Trapp! Super convenient location, walking distance to all Rudesheim attractions. Breakfast is included and offered a delicious variety of continental breakfast items and German specialties. We stayed for two nights and our room was kept clean and the view outside our room was priceless.
FYI if your room faces the church as ours did, the bells begin ringing at 6am. No air conditioning, but the windows open very wide.
Highly recommend you give this family room hotel a try!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Trapp. We had a double room and a family room. Our family room (433) looked recently renovated. The spacious bathroom was sleek and modern. The main bedroom had organized storage space and more outlets than we could possibly use. The second room in the family suite had a pull-out bed that was already made up when we arrived. We paid for the 13 euro apiece breakfast each morning and it was an excellent deal with plenty of meats and cheeses, fruit, baked goods (including gluten free bread), cereals, eggs, bacon, sausages, and a variety of hot and cold beverages. The dining room was nicely decorated. The hotel looks historic but has many modern features. Peter, the owner, was very helpful with suggestions for our daily activities. We would love to stay there again.

This cozy hotel was an amazing hotel to stay at. Great staff and very nice clean room. The morning breakfast is simple but very special with hand-embroidery napkins. The lady there was so friendly and gave me one as a souvenir. Just don't go before your check in time. They are strict about checkin time.

Very unhelpful when wanted to report that €300 in 2 envelopes taken from room. Just shrugged shoulders and said must go to Police station. Clearly did not care, almost like was normal event. Made no attempt to record or investigate. Money taken while out during day. Whoever took left 3rd envalope with only 50 euros in so knew unlikely to be supported immediately.
Duvet itself had urine stain and dark hairs in bathroom clearly not ours, long blond or short grey hair ourselves.
Will never stay there again. Response to other poor reviews means I fully expect hotel to blame us!
Reply noted. No offer to assist other than told to go to Police Station. Are you trying to say we are lying. We have notified the Police. Can you confirm you have recorded this theft and as I replied to your email I will pay the outstanding money for the wine
Hotel have now confirmed theft recorded (although only on my account) and they will investigate, just pitty did not just agree to do so at time and would be more believable if they asked for details like when was the money taken so can check which staff were on premises with access to room key as door was locked while out and not forced

The only trouble we had was opening the door correctly. We are from the US and were unfamiliar with the door and how you push to open it. We had a good laugh about it, though. Otherwise, it was great and a very cute place to stay. Breakfast was good, but not very many options.
