Staff was overall friendly and location is not far away from railway station. The rooms are medieval, nothing like in the photos, wifi connection non-existent. Shower head was broken and very uncomfortable to use. Walls are too thin and one can hear basically everything. There are much better options available in the same price range.

+ Location is pretty good: ten minutes to railway station, three to shop, also cafes and small restaurants are close to hotel.
+ In my room it was quiet, and there is almost no noise from the street.
- The room itself looks quite old, so what you see on the photos it is not what you will get. Everything is very used, ancient, squeeky and so on.
- I had room on the last floor and the internet did not work at all. I could connect time to time, but it was so weak I could not work.
- Reception works only litte time per day. Couple of hours at the morning and a bit afternoon. So you do not have any ability to leave your luggage if hotel is closed.
- The bed was uncomfortable. TV-set is something from medieval times and just useless.
- They do not clean your room even if you explicitely put "make my room" on the door. The only change in may four night stay was pretending to clean. Even bed clothes weren't changed. Once I've got new towels.

The room was very spacious and windows could be opened for fresh air which was great. The bed was a nice size but the mattress was so soft and bouncy for my taste which made it less comfortable. The internet was terrible. The heater made a loud noise when turned up.

If you are looking for an affordable place in Mainz, this is the place to go. Rooms are clean and have a spacious balcony to relax on after a busy day. Closeby tram can take you to the main train station and further on directly to the University. The new owner takes care of his guests.

New owner. Hotel is recently renovated, all windows are changed too. Bathrooms are new. It is a 3*** hotel. Great location!

Small little hotel near the center of Mainz. The rooms and furniture seem old and used (though my matress was brandnew) but its clean and the staff is nice. You'll get what you can expect for 50€ a night in the city. Maybe even a little more.

Nice, clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, really good breakfast (a lot of different choices) recently renovated. Good location, 15 min by walk from center. In this category could not expect better. I've enjoyed my stay!

I was there for Breakfast. The food was delicious, there was a huge variety, and the staff are particularly friendly. I would recommend in any case!

Super price-performance. Simple but very spacious and clean rooms. the Breakfast buffet was very good for the price. For Short and business trips. In the middle of the Neustadt, therefore, many Restaurants, Bars, supermarkets in the vicinity.

I was almost 3 months in the Hotel and am very satisfied. I also visited the other Hotel and a comparison to be had. For Mainz this is a 3-star to a good Standard. It has a family atmosphere and you and your guests well. The Breakfast tasted very good, and it is very Centrally located. Only sometimes you do not exactly the reception times, but the semi-Wild. You can still reach the phone, and then immediately there.
