Hotel Godecke

We celebrated on 29.06.2013 our wedding in the Hotel Gödecke Sarstedt/Hotteln.

The Hotel has a great ambience, the food is prepared partly in large pans outside to get some fresh and really was excellent. If the weather had cooperated, would have taken place at the pond by the reception, which weather however was unfortunately not possible. These points are, however, also been the only positive.

As the date for the menu is first, to call a meeting on 06.06.2013. Of course everyone can be a result of illness or death prevented, but then the appointment should be cancelled in a timely manner. We had reorganized personal and professional appointments, extra and then stood in vain at the door of the hotel. All of this could have been avoided if the menu had already in the spring of 2013, agreed. But that was not possible. Never an appointment fit in: Once, it was too early, then had to eat for the husband is prepared (a statement by the owner of the hotel). According to the Motto: the customer threatens to order.

Our wedding cake we wanted to touch on specifically in the afternoon because we knew that many guests stay until late in the evening. The Boss of the hotel said, this is because the cake is the Highlight. That's right. Just what is the Highlight of no use, if the guests can have the Highlight part and the residues must be randomly distributed? Of course, the Hotel suggestions, but ultimately, should the customer desire in the foreground. It's a pity that we have set ourselves.

Late in the evening, we served the wedding cake and we cut. Unfortunately, no support was present to cut more pieces for the guests.

On the coffee table all cakes should be served. It's just the photo, however, were the pies on the table. As the only two pieces of cake were there, we pointed out. But the task of the host is? A guest had asked me before about where the rest of the cake. But it was only served late in the evening.

We needed five high chairs for children. It is no Problem that the Hotel could only provide three. Therefore, we still have two brought. But why only three were initially available? Only on our demand, two more were brought. That is the job of the host to take care of it?

Dripping candles pollute not cover within seconds the table. It is the task of the service would have been staff to make the candles, then later, otherwise, to delete, to reveal different or similar. We should take care of us as the host about it? We will later replace two tablecloths and dispose of it, is a Farce. Supposedly a tablecloth 61 would cost,- EUR. And the wax-stained table, we had to cover the same take.

It is the same with the disposal of candle remains. With a gruff "Our garbage cans are all here," we have been fobbed off. In the smallest garbage bin space is for a pair of candle remains still and the we have found.

Since we had no exact idea of how the tables, the hotel owner of a small sketch with the number of tables and the number of the seat ends are made of people. We have kept us, as we have prepared at home, the table order. On the evening before the wedding !!! (an earlier date was not possible!!!) we got the table and menu cards to the Hotel Gödecke and the chief informed us, that this is so. Although we have kept exactly to the sketch of the hotel owner!

Some time after the wedding, we received the bill - without a Bank account. It is our task to ask for a new account?
