I didn't stay at this place , and I think that was the issue. I like their deco , wood, and warm feeling, but the service for a customer was not the hotel guest 😒was not very friendly. So if you are not staying with us , don't come here to eat , They actually make me feel "how dare you come here to eat , if you do not stay here "🤷‍♀️ 🙄 Their food actually good, but I won't go there again. Just another "small village hotel" - a little bit abandoned and sometimes dirty, it still usable to get some rest and sleep. Stuff was friendly and speaks English. Breakfast was okay. Location is really good if you arrive by car, and they have free parking. Some people expects more for that money and come with 1-star reviews, but I did not have any expectations, so for me it was just OK.

Breakfast was great. Large selection of food. Rooms were good size and bed comfortable. Pillows were like pancakes, had to use pillows from sofa. Make sure you bring your own wash clothes. If not, you shower with soap and your hand. Check Restaurant in the area for availability. Most of them require reservations. We were turned away at several because we did not have reservations

We knew the restaurant wasn’t going to be open as we were staying on a Monday, what wasn’t expected was that the hotel reception would close by 5pm and breakfast wouldn’t be until 8am. The room was lovely and clean. The area was the same. But a hotel should have 24hr reception and breakfast from 6am on weekdays.

Nice, clean, large room and bathroom. The guesthouse is in a perfect location in Schierke. The staff was very easy-going about our late arrival, the key exchange was easy. They were also accommodating with our dietary request for breakfast.

I stayed for 2 nights mid-December, off-season with just one other guest. Since an employee was being reintegrated, breakfast was made exclusively for my wife and me. The communication with the owner was via WhatsApp Unusual, but super uncomplicated and friendly! Gladly again Here price/performance get 5 points!

I only spent one night there. Room including bathroom clean and attractive. Very friendly and helpful boss. Also the breakfast in the supermarket opposite (this is an exception!) was very decent. Very good value for money.

Everything went well with the machine that gave out the room key. Unfortunately we were cold and the heating didn't work. The decor is good, nothing is missing, but not the most modern interior. Unfortunately, it was very annoying that our room door rattled loudly when someone opened the front door. Which woke me up twice. The breakfast was good and the service very nice.

I have never met such nice and courteous pension employees. There was a birthday surprise (without anyone mentioning the birthday) and the sick friend was spoiled in the room! Stay from December 30th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022 I stayed in a single room (room 19). Everything was clean and tidy. Mrs. Hecker was friendly and so was the staff. The breakfast is good and tasty and it was always refilled. Price and performance were really good! I will gladly come again! 😊 1 point deduction because of the mattress, which needs to be replaced.

Friendly and courteous staff, who accommodated us very obligingly. The location in Braunlage is also very good, the rooms are large and clean. Shower in the tub is not that nice. The hotel can certainly not do anything for the sometimes insane Corona requirements, but it makes the stay extremely uncomfortable, almost clinical.

We spent the night here while driving through Germany. It's a hotel not like any other, a very individual and even wacky design which is actually quite relaxing.
