Breakfast was very good. I also liked the atmosphere at the bar and the big choice of drinks. The room was also good.

Fantastic location and very characteristic design and concept - every single detail has been paid attention to. Wonderful mountain feeling, great service and an amazing gym! Restaurant is 5* as well.

It was our first visit in this hotel. Great location, you can enter National Park from hotel’s property. Breakfast is superb, fresh ingredients and so much choice. One of the best hotel breakfast we have recently. Wealso had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing. The room was very narrow, especially with the bathtub just in the middle so it was hard to walk. Also what was missing was a kettle...

Everything was perfect! Best location in the Harz Mountains!

Friendly and courteous staff, who accommodated us very obligingly. The location in Braunlage is also very good, the rooms are large and clean. Shower in the tub is not that nice. The hotel can certainly not do anything for the sometimes insane Corona requirements, but it makes the stay extremely uncomfortable, almost clinical.

Very nice place. Staff was very friendly and tried hard. Breakfast totally rich. Great swimming pool and enjoyed a pleasant massage. Had a nice weekend and will definitely come again.

Wouldn´t use the "restaurant" again - even though the food was tasty there was no menu (which also means you have no idea what the cost will be), only three choices and you had to make an "in the moment decision" when you entered even before you get seated. This is a real of oasis of fabulous design, music and food, run by a totally committed and very charming team and in a beautiful setting. A great place to wind down.

Great place to stay. The location is perfect; close to the ‘city’ center, but away from the crowds and close to the woods. All staff is very friendly and helpful. One of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed at! Very thoughtfully designed, cozy and relaxing. Great breakfast, outdoor sauna and comfortable areas to work and lounge. Staff are very helpful and polite. This is a perfect spot for a getaway in the mountains. We will definitely come back!

Super good place at a reasonable price. Good food, good rooms and nice staff and then it is nice that you can park your motorcycle in the garage. Nice area if you want to cycle, ride a motorcycle or hike.

Fist time I ever stayed in a place with a 'biker' theme...Even had a soap dispenser shaped like a motorbike in the bathroom!!! That was a nice touch...The surrounding countryside is pleasant enough...

Great place. Small rooms but you don't need much if you are here to go skiing. Bathroom doesn't smell that great but also not horrible. There is free breakfast and the food is great. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I like to give 5 stars here, even if the rooms are not perfectly and simply equipped. But it is super clean and yet comfortable. Actually, nothing is missing here. Staff very nice and accommodating. The house and the rooms have remained in the 70s. If you are looking for a trip into the past, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, the breakfast was portioned and didn't offer any real variety. It's a Harz tourism area and you try to make money out of everything. Too bad actually.

Ok for the price. Friendly service, i liked the breakfirst and free wifi but the bed was terrible (old, squeaky bed with a worn mattress) so i did not sleep well. I stayed for one night in a single room (No. 5).

I was there for a short vacation and especially found the location great! :) The food was also great, especially special requests and late preparation times, after a long tour. Very friendly dutch couple hosting this hotel. Beautiful located and as a political/social scientist I was especially fascinated by the fact that this is just a few hundred meters from the old BRD/DDR-border. Here you can combine nature with fascinating historical sights. Very recommendable

October 2022 we spent a week looking for peace and beautiful autumn colors in the forests and mountains of De Harz. What a great environment. Great hotel. The single room I had was adequate but relatively small. The hotel itself is about 10 minutes walk away from the town. The staff were excellent and made sure everything within their power was right.

For the price most optimal experience! Everything one wants to wish without much extra services. - very good location in a pleasant green area near the hiking routes - restaurant team actuallly has enough people, so they are not looking stressed. They are friendly, and service is very quick and efficient. Food is very delicious and actually has flavor ( which is not always the case for German hotels...

The Restaurant of the hotel guests-is also open, we liked excellent. From the outside it looks due to the slightly strong light it a little uncomfortable, but Inside it looks different, very modern and you feel comfortable, also the owners are working on a Dimmer. 5 stars Simply fantastic! Spending the night in the log cabins was a real highlight. The cabins are lovingly furnished, super clean and offer everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location in the middle of nature is perfect - quiet, but still close to the center of Braunlage. Our family of six stayed at Haus Katharina for a weekend four weeks ago. The house is modern yet very comfortably furnished. We were lucky that it snowed that weekend, allowing us to go sledding in the fresh snow on the slope behind the house. The evening sauna with a view of the snowy landscape rounded off the whole experience. A very nice time and a beautiful house.

We wouldn't choose any other accommodation but this one again. Absolutely everything is provided, from kitchen utensils and bathing suits to sleds and the like. The only thing that could be improved is a little information on how to use the sauna and the best way to light the fireplace. Otherwise, absolutely perfect, including the location.

The log houses are well equipped and really offer a lot of comfort, the price-performance ratio is okay. In front of the Katharina house, however, the road is currently being completely rebuilt, which means that massive construction noise must be expected every day from 7 a.m. onwards. The impairments are already very large, because the bedrooms and the terrace are directly on the construction site...

We had a very nice short break in the hotel, the hotel and the garden are in a very well-kept condition I can only recommend it. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is superb. In winter you can find great slopes with ski lifts nearby. Summer leaves nothing to be desired for hikers and explorers. Have fun visiting, it's worth it!
