A very nicely decorated restaurant, super friendly and flexible staff. Although not reserved, we were served in a friendly and courteous manner in the restaurant. The food tasted great. A visit is highly recommended.

The house met our expectations. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. The two-bedroom apartment offers a lot of space. The restaurant is of good quality. In my opinion, the house is well suited for hikers.

Were there with a biker group. The rooms are simple, but perfectly adequate and very clean and tidy. In terms of price, you absolutely cannot complain. The owner is really interested in the well-being of his guests and tries to make a lot possible. Food (half board) was excellent. Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Super nice area. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was very nice, you feel welcome and you get everything you need. Our highlight (besides the great host) was the shoe dryer :). The room was clean and comfortable enough, local tips were free, and breakfast was a great way to start the day. So saying goodbye to the Thuringian Forest was a bit difficult, but the memory is saved. So, the bottom line: you can stay well there.

We ate here a couple of times. The food was good, and so was the service. The atmosphere in the dining room was charming and cozy. We'd gladly come again.

This is the third time we've stayed and eaten here for the Rennsteiglauf. This year, too, we had nothing to complain about or criticize. The rooms were clean, the dinner was delicious, the breakfast was extensive, and the service was always friendly and helpful! We'd love to come back next year!

Highly recommended: nice reception, clean room with everything you need, including several pillows. In the beer garden/inn there is a wide selection of dishes and friendly service. Breakfast very extensive. Vending machine for drinks and snacks accessible 24/7. Great starting point for hikes, bike and cross-country ski tours.

The Hotel is placed in the forest just outside of Ilmenau, Germany, on a private country road. Our initial view of the Hotel was from the side as this is how the road enters the property. While the location is unbeatable and the views are stunning, the rooms are average at most, mattresses are ok, cushions are super thin and not really usable. We signed up for the buffet dinner at EUR 29 including drinks. Pretty expensive for what we actually got: Worst buffet I´ve seen in a long time, meat was dry, the Spaetzle and rice were tasteless. The Ringberghotel high above Suhl is an impressive building, worth a visit just for its open location! Panoramic views, clean and functional rooms. The food tasted great, the service was friendly and polite. Despite the Corona requirements, the guest feels comfortable and is happy to return!

The hotel is a bit dated from the outside, the staff is very courteous and friendly and helpful. A very nice swimming pool with a warm temperature invites you to swim. The steam sauna is great but lacks a good scent, We spent 3 wonderful days there and thank the management of the hotel and the staff!

Ilmenau 25 Very nice hotel near the main street. The restaurant was very good with traditional Thuringian food. It looks like the restaurant is used by locals too. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options available. The room was functional and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. The hotel had a sauna, but I didn’t use it.

The room was clean and bathroom recently renovated. The problem was that heating was turned off eventhough temperatures were low. Turning on the radiator in combination with carpet floors made the air unbearable for someone with lung problems.

Fantastic hotel, with exceptionally good food (I ate breakfast and dinner), friendly staff, generously sized rooms and convenient below-ground parking. A ironing room is available for use, and the staff were only too happy to help. The only thing missing from the bedroom was a kettle - a shame, as the restaurant stopped making hot drinks early in the evening. Will definitely stay here again!

We booked like 10 double-bed rooms at the Hotel Ilmenauer Hof. So the reservation and cancellation of the room numbers were smooth as well as the check-in and check-out process. The rooms were all clean and kinda cozy, same as the bathrooms. What I didn't like was the keen of hearing of the dorms, as this could be kinda annoying. The breakfast was quite basic, but good as you just pay 6€ per breakfast...

The room was clean but it was bit cold. There was not so many options in breakfast. No vegetarian or halal food. Otherwise, it was very much up to the stanard.

Slept here on our way north. Clean room, but mattresses really not the best. Breakfast was over standard compared to what you can expect in this price class. We were positively surprised. Check in was smooth and a nice and helpful receptionist. Place is acceptable for a quick stop over!

Clean, homely, and peaceful. The breakfast was great, plentiful, and diverse. Compared to the price, it was completely worth it.

Very nice little hotel not far from the church. Very clean and well-kept rooms. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is friendly and helpful. We used the hotel as a base for our two-day BUGA visit to Erfurt, about 35 minutes by car from the hotel.

The bed is a little narrower. I have the feeling that as a holidaymaker you are not in such good hands. Business people or fitters leave the house pretty quickly. Vacationers like to sleep a little longer and you have the feeling you should leave the house quickly and have breakfast early so that it can be cleared and cleaned. Sorry, otherwise very nice and great breakfast.

It is very near to bhanhof and is in the city centre. People are also nice and not so much expensive also. Overall looks good. Rooms are big and beautiful.

A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way. Lobby decor is very welcoming and feels like home. Room was clean (we had 2 beds + 1) and came with toiletries (no toothbrush) and clean sheets and towels for 3. Wunderful short trip in the winterwunderland. We rented two of the holiday homes. They were very beautiful and clean with a lot of space for all our friends. We did some bowling in the sporthotel and it was no problem to rent a sledge for our baby. We can recommend this Hotel and the holiday homes to other guest's a lot.
