Where to stay in Schneverdingen

We went to Schneverdingen on the occasion of my wife's birthday, 25th September 2024. We travelled from Hamburg on a whim, unplanned, and with no reservations. For some stupid reason, we were under the impression that a tourist spot like the Heide would always have hotels where we could check in. Only a short visit, but for sure a very pleasant one. Nice food and very friendly staff. The breakfast is outstanding! I will definately like to come back sometime.

Ā nice comfy friendly semi-rural hotel spa of the sort that Germany does really well. Very pleasant grounds and quiet area.

Great hotel with friendly staff and modern rooms. The hotel bar is cozy and invites you to spend a nice evening. Some of the rooms on the ground floor have small terraces in front of the window. The buffet is, as you would expect from other hotels, hearty and plentiful. I was here with my family and would come back anytime.

Been here 5 days or still will be until next Tuesday... no star deductions, everything was great, great sauna, great breakfast, parking, very nice staff, be it at the reception, in service or with the cleaning lady.... nothing to complain about at all, even if you have to look for it... we travel often in Germany, so we can make good comparisons. Great hotel.. Simply. Keep it up!

An unexpectedly great café visit. Very nice team and cozy atmosphere with a great view. The coffee drinks are very tasty. But the highlight is the selection of cakes. The pieces are very large and very tasty. Dogs are also allowed. We'll be back!

As you can easily see from the pictures, we came here for coffee and cake. A ray of hope on such a cloudy day!! Nice surroundings- beautiful landscape for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately I do not understand the 4**** as the rooms are not up to standard- spots on the walls, bathroom like in the 70s, no airconditioning, bedding way to soft, although we had “please do not disturb”- the room was cleaned. Truly delightful hotel in the middle of nature. Great comfort room with balcony and bathtub, very good pool and spa area and a restaurant with high quality food both for breakfast and for dinner. And the staff was very nice and always helpful.

We booked a pirate themed suite which was around 350€. The room was okay, but had no AC and no mini bar. Just how is this possible at this price point?? It was way over 30 degrees outside and the staff left the windows open all day so it was incredibly humid inside the suite. This is far from comfortable. Especially for children and babys. Great park .. but with the high prices i expect everything to be open - there were several shops and food stands that was closed. But otherwise really great for kids - both small and larger.

The park is great. Hotel as well. We had a great time spending 3 days in the park. First day was school day so we could enjoy all without queues. Was awesome! Other days most attractions had 30-40 minutes queue. For the hotel... very nice rooms (we had pirate suite) which the kids loved. Clean and simple accommodation. Friendly staff that did their best to keep everyone safe despite the pandemic. Dinner and breakfast buffets included a good selection and was well stocked.

It was absolutely amazing. There were so many people but you didn't have to wait really long so it was more than fine. I could go everywhere at least one time and I only had 6 hours. The food is kinda expensive but it's alright. There is much for kids and much for older ones. It's hust perfect, I would come here again, as soon as I could. Definitely recommend!!!

We stayed here for 1 night in the family room. The room looked better than in the photos. All was nice and clean and all beds were made for us. Also the babybed was brought in quickly. Minor thing was the noise coming from the kitchen below, however that was over around 9-10pm. The hotel is in Soltau near a park. The center is in walking distance, which is nice.

We stayed here in a family room (us and our five year old son). It's a very pleasant hotel, friendly staff and good-sized room. The steakhouse is lovely for dinner and breakfast here is amazing and plentiful! There is a great park nearby for kids, and it's so close to Heide Park theme park! Would 100% recommend this place!

Nice place to stay. Plenty of room for kids to run & play. Owners do check your discarded trash every day and what you discard. Kind of makes you feel violated.

A very nice hotel in a very good central location. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. Great breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. In the evening there is very good food and cocktails are also served. We will be back definitely. The staff could sometimes be a little more attentive, and ask more often whether you still have "wishes" or want something.

Simple but modern rooms with a chic restaurant. There are cocktails here too! Despite the officially discontinued breakfast, they put together something delicious and individual for us very early in the morning.

An enrichment for Bispingen! Great ambience. You can sleep here in the hotel, have a wonderful rum steak, or eat a delicious burger. Enjoy a nice cocktail or a beer in the comfortable armchair in the evening. Or a good cappuccino on the terrace, all very well cared for. Pleasant staff, good prices!

The staff were extremely friendly and, above all, did not blame me for not wearing a mask. The rooms are very, very nicely furnished and I had a good night to work the next day relaxed.

Problems with the booking. Staff not very friendly. Small rooms and small dinner portions. Therefore centrally located in town convenient to everything.

Really nice place. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, nice and very clean room, super nice breakfast buffet. In short, a really nice place where you want to come back for another time. An extra plus, for us who drive an electric car. There is a garage with electric charging at a reasonable price per kWh. Highly recommended!

Good hotel but the food is mostly prefab...shame on a super place

Decent small hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times for business. The rooms are small but clean and adequate for a short stay. Some of the older rooms have creaky beds which are not ideal but the newer rooms are more comfortable. Be aware that the restaurant is closed some nights but there is a good Steakhouse over the road as an alternative.

A nice hotel, which is very close to Heide Park. Ideal for a stay if you are going to the amusement park! The breakfast was good and actually much better than we hoped for 👍 The rooms are fine and have all you need. Some of the hallway could use a little update.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, with a fantastic restaurant, situated in a beautiful landscape. The staff were top class, responsive and friendly. This hotel and restaurant cannot be improved, highly recommended!

Nicely located in the middle between the center of Soltau and the autobahn, this quiet and well-maintained hotel is a relaxing and pleasant place to spend the night. Nothing super-fancy, but given the very reasonable prices it's excellent value. They have 2 chargers for electric cars available at the hotel, and use of these is free for hotel-guests.

"Dea" it is a pit stop, one step closer to home, if you were heading home but for complicated reasons you need a placemore than a night to rest and put yourself back on track. This place is awesome! If you are staying nearby then please take the time to visit. Your children will love it... I'm not a fan of theme parks, but this one is really worth the money. There's so much to do, lots to eat and more than enough rides. When we visited, some of the attractions were closed due to covid restrictions, but there was still plenty to do. After reading the reviews I regretted booking it. But I must say we spent a great time there. My daughter (4yo) had a lot of fun. We enjoyed it too. It's a pity the swimming pool could be visited only once. But well, it's Covid time. But anyway it was worth it.

Disappointed with my accommodation. Rooms were not very modern and could be renovated. I took a premium bunglow with toilets very ordinary. Overall the park has decent facilities for a relaxing weekend. I would suggest families to take a golfcart as this is a big park.

Lovely setting in a fantastic part of Germany (SO MUCH to do in the area). The accomodation is fairly basic, particularly for cooking in, but worked fine for our family of 5, plus doggie. Plenty of activities for the kids, but a bit short on things to do on a rainy day, and not just because of Covid restrictions.

Free parking, enough space to park. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but still lovely. WiFi strenght is strong enough to watch video's. The view from the room is not special or anything. Breakfast is good and various choices.

We stayed here one night on our roadtrip. Our room (503) was clean and in good shape and the staff really friendly. The highlight for me was the breakfast offering cereals, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, yoghurt, breads/rolls, a variety of cheeses, spreads, sausages, jams, honeys, and even prosecco. If you need a place to stay the night or need a bite to eat, I recommend this place.

This is a hotel perfect for people going thru Germany, wether from south or north. Its restaurant is very good and its personell is the same. Fantastic place. It was just a one-night stand during the sightseeing trip, but this hotel is worth a longer stay for sure. Definitely a place when one could recharge batteries. Fantastic breakfast, great views, calm and quiet place.

Beautiful location right in the woods. Dont be afraid of spiders or other insects. Cottages are very quiet and rustic. Would be even better if there would be a small kitchen in the cottages, the space is there. Area is beautiful and especially for nature lovers the place to be

Surprising hotel - certainly not what was expected. It's in a beautiful remote setting. Rooms large and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast excellent. But it is the natural beauty there that makes this our favourite place we stayed on our trip to Germany.

Decent hotel for single night. Spacey rooms, renovated bathrooms. Some may complain it is rather cold in the rooms (due to size?). Good breakfast - large choice of various products. Decent value for money (we booked via booking.com) Good contact with reception.

The property is located on the outskirts of town so there's little audible traffic noise. The hotel is quaint and typically German in style. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was that it lacks a lift to the 1st floor which may be an issue for guests with various mobility problems.

Overall an excellent hotel. Had a single room, everything was presented. Only down side was no airconditioning, on a day being 30 degree celsius these would have been amazing. Staff is well rounded, speaking fluently English is a plus for Germany. Price is on the lower end these days, with a breakfast included below a € 100. They even deducted a incorrectly booked service.

Location is good, we only went there for 1 day. So we were not able to see much of the area. But what we saw was a green and peaceful environment. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. Furthermore, the staff was also friendly. The bird park and serengeti safari park in Walsdorf are also nearby (by car), just check in advance if they are open...

Personally I would give 4 stars to this hotel instead of 3

Very nice place. Nice personel. The rooms are very spacious. Ideal for families. Children's playground is directly adjacent. Next time we visit Heidepark we will book the same hotel.
