We got to breakfast too early on the last day of our stay because we got the time wrong (our fault) but as I was grabbing some cereal the person was very rude to me about it and didn’t seem to be thankful that we chose to stay at their hotel

Excellent concept for a hotel catering to adventure travelers. Room was basic but was clean, bright and open with plenty of storage and charging. Sauna facilities for a room at this cost was amazing

Breakfast had vegan options and local produce ! Even dinner meals offer a vegan option which was very thoughtful. Location is great and parking is on property. Hotel is very clean and everything is modern

Everything in our checklist was met - 1. Dogs are very welcome and adored. Staff was helpful, friendly and very hardworking. They did not mind speaking English with expats 3

Breakfast was also great, egg station was fun, and once again uniquely catered towards adventure travelers. Bus stop is just outside, and lake is a short walk away

We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay

With it‘s close proximity to the hiking and climbing trails as well as the lake, I have nothing but great things to say about the Explorer Berchtesgaden

We had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The location was absolutely gorgeous and very close to hitlers “eagles nest” (only 15 mins away) and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains

Clean rooms, amazing view and friendly staff. The only downside is that in the winter it is a little hard to get to. Except that i totaly recommend it for a quit mountain holiday.

This place is a gem! The rooms are great, the staff is awesome, and the restaurant! I just had an amazing bavarian plate here, amazing and extremely generous amount of food, and the waiter was super attentive and helpful

Simple facilities. We had a great room with living room and sofa bed off bedroom. No dining options unfortunately. Probably more of a winter sports hotel. Great overall stay.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Alpenhotel Fischer. The staff were lovely, speaking great English but being patient in letting me try speaking German too. Hotel facilities were great with breakfast being a highlight

Lots of choice and all very fresh. The room (117) was spacious and clean. The location is on the edge of Berchtesgaden and right next to a supermarket which was very handy

This is not a criticism as it was nice to be out of the centre when we were ready to retire for the night, but merely something I wanted to point out for future guests

With that said, all I’d point out is that to get to Berchtesgaden centre, it’s around a 25 minute walk, with some uphill in either direction

Hotel is wonderful for backpacker, Dormetary is comfortable for Females. Beds, bathroom , toilets are clean. But the location is far away from Railway Station. It takes almost 40 mins to reach by walk.

The location is perfect, you can take bus or train conveniently. The stuff is friendly even though I arrive earlier than check in time they allowed me to leave my luggage here and gave me ‘guest card’ to take bus freely

Promised view of the mountain ended up a view of the highway which was a bit noisy at night. Overall, good place to stay but pricey for what you are getting as it is the only hostel in Berchtesgaden

Nice, clean place with comfortable beds. However, checking in or talking to staff is a pain as they are also working the Burger King downstairs, and you'll have to wait till customers have ordered

The check in process was a little unique, but easy enough. The staff were kind enough to let us check in an hour early. There were plenty of lockers in our room, and they were quite sizeable

The Hotel is a bit old, but the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is probably the best aspect. It's a 5 minutes drive to the Königssee parking lot

We stayed in an apartment. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The view of the river was beautiful and breakfast was fantastic. The bed, pillows, and towels weren't the greatest ever but still sufficient.

We were pleased to get a family room here as a walk-in. The family room was very spacious and had one large bed and two twin beds. The breakfast is included in the price

It was as close to an "American breakfast" that we've seen in a German hotel. It was walking distance to quite a few things including the train station

I traveled a long way to get here and was exhausted from 10 hours of traveling when I arrived at 11:30am and just wanted to go to sleep for a few hours but they were strict on their 3pm check in policy and would not let me check in early

A great place a stones throw from the historical Altstadt. (turn left out of the hotel and left again opposite the church). Upper rooms with balconies have beautiful views of the mountains above you

close to old town walking area...great restaurants and beautiful scenic walkway above the town. Close base to Eagles Nest Hitler's bunker, great for history buffs.

The bed was somehow not comfortable for us. It gets over soon and was never refilled. The warm food was always so little. Don't think there's a vegan option at all, probably need to preorder

I really enjoyed my 4D/3N stay (in June 2021) at this lovely hotel. I arrived a day earlier than planned but was promptly accommodated. It's conveniently located near the train station, as well as the center of town

Have stayed here for 2 to 3 weeks since 2015, except last year, and would not stay anywhere else. Wolfgang, Petra and Julia are the most wonderful hosts. I suggest the Watzmann Suite on the top floor

The only place I ever want to stay when visiting Berchtesgaden. Loved the 24 hour tea and coffee bar, tons of selection for tea. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've ever had

This family owned Hotel has thought of every little detail and fulfilled it. The rooftop has a restaurant/lounge, an indoor pool with a bistro and a large outdoor patio. Gorgeous views in every direction

There was free parking at the back. The beds were okay, so was the bath room. We found the room was to hot during the night. We made use of the pool which was good, however if you use one their towels it costs you €5

The pool is a bit small and can get loud but was appreciated since it was very hot while we were here

We were traveling by car from Germany to Austria, and we had always wanted to visit the Eagle's Nest, Lake Königssee and Jena Peak. So we stayed at Kempinski for two nights and celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary

We booked a balcony room, and the pillows in the room were too soft and uncomfortable to sleep. The surrounding environment is first-class and invincible, and I took many beautiful photos

The environment is great, with the Alps just outside the room. The breakfast is rich, and the dinner in the hotel restaurant is also great. A satisfying vacation.

Especially the restaurant, we booked a candlelight dinner in advance, and the hotel also helped to customize tiramisu cake. It was an unforgettable journey!

The hotel environment was super good, the rooms were large and comfortable, and it was convenient to drive to various attractions halfway up the mountain

The design is rustic and charming, yet modern and clean. There are multiple saunas, an outdoor and indoor pool, food is all inclusive and very good quality and there are so many places to relax

But the Pool and the Saunas are amazing definitely not gonna be my last time visiting

The hotel has an app ready and we used it to order a bigger bath robe for me before our arrival, because I'm quite big and usually the standard bath robes are too small

Wow I visited already 13 Times and next year I am gonna visit it for the 14 Time to go skiing it's always great and the people are really nice

The rooms are incredible, comfy, high quality, and leave nothing to be desired. The spa is wonderful, the pools are fantastic, and they will even pack you a lunch for the next day to take on hikes or whatnot

Nice room again. Only the wifi did not work most of the time which was not great as otherwise there was not much reception in the remote area

Our Service dog is well trained and I make sure to clean and pick up after she goes potty, as a dog owner I find it grotesque when people leave their dogs feces just anywhere and ruin the privileges for other dog owners

Street in front of the hotel is sometimes a bit noisy (had a room facing the street), but with the windows closed you can't hear anything. Hardly any traffic at night, so you can sleep with the window open

We all were able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and we used the hiking trails a lot. All I can say is thank you so much Hindenburglinde and Staff we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon

We relaxed at the wellness center daily and we enjoyed the delicious variety of food at the restaurant tremendously. The desserts are out of this world and they even had Napa Valley Wine

The view is absolutely breathtaking! Breakfast was buffet style with many options. Our room was just what I pictured a room wood be like in such a scenic alpine setting, with large windows, balconies and comfy beds.
