Excellent hotel! Quite near the lake (you can walk there, but we took our car, it’s a 5 minutes ride) and with a beautiful view of the forest and mountains from our room, the swimming pool area and the dining terrace, it’s indeed gorgeous

The swimming pool was also enjoyable as it was very hot during our stay in August and we wanted to relax between day trips. Overall, excellent hotel and we would gladly come back! Highly recommended 👍👍👍

The BEST accommodation, service, drinks and food!! They went above and beyond to make our stay here magical and the rooms were gorgeous and the pools were perfect! We felt like Kings and Queens

Only 2 suggestions: the dining room was rather hot, so maybe the AC there could be stronger or have some fans as well, and the menus could all have en English translation (we were provided with one, but since there are no fix tables, the staff couldn’t really predict where we would be sitting, so most of the times we had to use Google Translate if our menu was only in German)

There’s no AC in the rooms (we weren’t surprised as this is quite normal in many German and Swiss hotels, for environmental reasons), but they provided a fan (it was already inside the wardrobe) that soothed our nights

The restaurant was also top notch. The food was amazing, and abundant! There was breakfast, a light lunch (salads, etc), cakes in the afternoon and a gourmet dinner included every day

Very large and modern bathroom although not very clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. It's an expensive place to stay and for the price I expected much better.

Due to Covid we didn’t experience the famous breakfast but the breakfast package we got to our room every morning was amazing. We even took some of it with us as lunch. The rooms are clean and spacious

The only bad thing I would say is, the parking is not free although the hotel has a huge space that can take lots of cars. Overall it was a great experience

We got to breakfast too early on the last day of our stay because we got the time wrong (our fault) but as I was grabbing some cereal the person was very rude to me about it and didn’t seem to be thankful that we chose to stay at their hotel

I didn’t expect to be served breakfast that early but we had somewhere to be so went down there as we were checking out. Based on the attitudes here you can definitely tell it is an old hotel and they do things their way

We had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The location was absolutely gorgeous and very close to hitlers “eagles nest” (only 15 mins away) and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains

Clean rooms, amazing view and friendly staff. The only downside is that in the winter it is a little hard to get to. Except that i totaly recommend it for a quit mountain holiday.

Spacious and comfortable rooms. In a nice location near the konigssee. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is the bad WiFi connection.

Hotel is pet friendly, allows both dogs and cats and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for it. Staff is multilingual, extremely accommodating and courteous. They cook and serve great food three times a day

Location is fantastic as both main attractions of the area (Eagle's Nest and Konigsee lake) are within an easy 10 minute drive and we were able to visit both between our check in and check out

We had late lunch and enjoyed delicious pork skishkebab along with traditional Easter European cuisine. Five stars from us as we will definitely return! Great job, owners/operators!!!

It was ok, just we were there for 5 days and they didn't clean the Toilet seat or the sink the last 4 days or change the cups and glasses that we were using for clean ones, the room have an old carpet kind of smelly

The this aspects, the breakfast is very nice, the enviroment is ok, the people in charge are not much around, you feel like you rent a room with cleaning lady. But if you need it, you can call and the would help

We loved this hotel and Berchtesgaden is beautiful. Good facilities and clean, giant bedrooms and we had a beautiful balcony over looking the trees and mountains. Visited in October so the trees were changing colours

Fantastic authentic Hotel. Hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay! We upgraded to half board on arrival and enjoyed a delicious 5 course meal for a very reasonable price!

The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the main town however the route is pretty and alongside the river so did not feel like a task!

Hotel is wonderful for backpacker, Dormetary is comfortable for Females. Beds, bathroom , toilets are clean. But the location is far away from Railway Station. It takes almost 40 mins to reach by walk.

The location is perfect, you can take bus or train conveniently. The stuff is friendly even though I arrive earlier than check in time they allowed me to leave my luggage here and gave me ‘guest card’ to take bus freely

Promised view of the mountain ended up a view of the highway which was a bit noisy at night. Overall, good place to stay but pricey for what you are getting as it is the only hostel in Berchtesgaden

Nice, clean place with comfortable beds. However, checking in or talking to staff is a pain as they are also working the Burger King downstairs, and you'll have to wait till customers have ordered

The check in process was a little unique, but easy enough. The staff were kind enough to let us check in an hour early. There were plenty of lockers in our room, and they were quite sizeable

We stayed in an apartment. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The view of the river was beautiful and breakfast was fantastic. The bed, pillows, and towels weren't the greatest ever but still sufficient.

I traveled a long way to get here and was exhausted from 10 hours of traveling when I arrived at 11:30am and just wanted to go to sleep for a few hours but they were strict on their 3pm check in policy and would not let me check in early

A great place a stones throw from the historical Altstadt. (turn left out of the hotel and left again opposite the church). Upper rooms with balconies have beautiful views of the mountains above you

Very nice touch with the honor bar, help yourself to beer or soda and write your name on a ticket. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We could have sat and drank coffee on our balcony all day, it was beautiful

The only place I ever want to stay when visiting Berchtesgaden. Loved the 24 hour tea and coffee bar, tons of selection for tea. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've ever had

The bed was somehow not comfortable for us. It gets over soon and was never refilled. The warm food was always so little. Don't think there's a vegan option at all, probably need to preorder

Have stayed here for 2 to 3 weeks since 2015, except last year, and would not stay anywhere else. Wolfgang, Petra and Julia are the most wonderful hosts. I suggest the Watzmann Suite on the top floor

It is 15 minutes away from Berchtesgaden centre, up and down some very steep hills. We used this as a base to visit, Salzburg, The Eagle’s Nest, Konigsee and others

The village of Berchtesgaden is about a 15 minute challenging walk up a very steep hill and down a very steep hill

There was free parking at the back. The beds were okay, so was the bath room. We found the room was to hot during the night. We made use of the pool which was good, however if you use one their towels it costs you €5

The pool is a bit small and can get loud but was appreciated since it was very hot while we were here

We got a family room for our family of four and it's great (nearly a suite for a very good value). Very convenient to town and a decent breakfast
