We were pleased to get a family room here as a walk-in. The family room was very spacious and had one large bed and two twin beds. The breakfast is included in the price. It was as close to an "American breakfast" that we've seen in a German hotel. It was walking distance to quite a few things including the train station.

Well, it's 1990s hostel decor. The bathrooms are new and gorgeous and you can't beat the location- just across from the hauptbahnhof. The draft beer selection was horrible but the food was tasty. A room frig is always appreciated. The road side rooms are a little noisy.

I spent a week at the Alpenhotel Seimler. It is located a little outside of Berchtesgaden, but since you get half board and can easily walk to the mine and town center, it is fine. Charming hotel of which the oldest part is from the 19th century. It's now three interconnected buildings with many corridors and stairs. The elevator to my room was somewhere on the first floor.
