This hotel is just amazing! We have NEVER felt so welcome as we did in Berchtesgaden at the Alm- und Wellnesshotel Alpenhof. It certainly also has to do with the family atmosphere, incredibly good service and first class food. Here the guest is still king. I hope we spend our dream vacation there already for the fourth time :)

Very large and modern bathroom although not very clean. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. It's an expensive place to stay and for the price I expected much better.

This hotel is located at a very convenient location and just at a few minutes walking distance from the lovely Königssee and the mountains. The check in acceptance only starts after 15:00pm and I believe this to be extremely late . On the other hand the check out is to be done latest at 10:00 in the morning. I stayed here two nights in September 2019. The place is very scenic and the hotel is unique in many ways. Really nice Alpine hotel just minutes from berchtesgaden center, salt mines and obersalzberg. Room was very clean and well kept. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast is really good and the views from the hotel are breath taking.

We had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The location was absolutely gorgeous and very close to hitlers “eagles nest” (only 15 mins away) and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains. The service here is also outstanding, the breakfast was awesome. The massage chairs in the lobby are a nice touch!

I have been here three time. Winter, summer and autumn. It's an amazing place. The land scape changes with the weather, so it's never the same twice. The hotel is in a very nice location with a wonderful view. When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome. The room was very nice and comfortably furnished, as was the whole hotel. There was a large breakfast buffet where you definitely found something. Nothing negative can be said against the service! We had a very pleasant stay there. Gladly again. :)

We had a nice but too short stay there. The views from the room and from the veranda are beautiful, the hotel itself is very comfortable. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time there very much. I’m really looking forward to come back next time maybe in summer, because the garden seems also tempting, I think it should be great to spend time there.

Cozy place to stay in schönau am königssee. The bus stop"untersein" is in the 5 Mins walk distance and 2 stop to the königssee tourist center. But when the first day we arrive late at night, the entrance is not easy to identify. Love the hairy qute cat here.
