It was a nice place, breakfast was fine, but the room never warmed up full heat cold all night. Maybe just our room but dang chilly...

The breakfast was great, the owner was very nice and the swimming lake was great. It was also very nice that there were several possibilities to sit in the evening with a coffee or tea. We also had the possibility to charge our electric car.

Situated in a beautiful location, with good, big and clean rooms and very accommodating staff. Definitely deserves all the compliments.

Relatively old, traditional hotel that might have been a 4 or 5 star many years ago. The room was sufficient but lacked any kind of character. The service in the evening was non existent, the breakfast team very helpful instead. The location is great in the middle of the city

Went to Traunstein with my wife and ended up on this charming hotel. No problem accommodating the late arrival, room was clean but a bit long in the tooth, a good breakfast rounded off the impromptu visit. The hotel is great! In prime location for shops and restaurants. The room was large and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was buffet style with eggs and bacon along with plenty of fresh veggies and fruit. Absolutely loved the juice bar , you can squeeze your own juice if desired. Although we arrived much too early, a nice exception was made and we were able to move into our room. That was really good. Otherwise only praise for this accommodation. Great rooms with a balcony and a small kitchen, delicious breakfast with lots of homemade things. Bicycle storage is also available. Unfortunately we were only there one night. We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. On a walk, our bags were already in our rooms which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I just loved this place. The breakfast served was good. They provided us with a diaper changing mat and baby bed on request. Of course it costs 15€ additional price. They also let us wax the cross country skis and were very accommodating with check-in times too. Definitely will choose them when in the Ruhpolding

Only stayed one night but thought the hotel (and town) was worth a longer visit. Nice location, excellent room, the hotel has character and is in a nice spot.

Outstanding place to stay. On our recent visit to Ruhpolding from Ireland, we stayed at the Alte Sage. Stefanie and Harry were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room - Super. Breakfast - Super. The service, location and facilities were excellent - the food also was high class and delicious.

We liked everything: location, stuff, rooms (extremely clean) , food (we celebrated here christmas) swimming pool. The only min was - it was extremely WARM in the restaurant. It was so warm that I couldn't enjoy the atmosphere.

We had a perfect stay. The food was outstanding and the also have a brand new Spa. All the staff was so helpfull with advise to visit places nearby. Salzburg is just about 30 minutes away. The rooms are refurbished and we one on the top floor with a mountain view.

Nice and quick service in the beer garden in the afternoon for good price so decided to test it for dinner also. Good atmosphere inside and quick service. Really good desert and was possible to get a small cognac to it.

Traditional nice hotel. Service can be improved both at the reception desk and at breakfast. For hiking: in Aug most of the cable cars were closed.

In the cozy pension / hotel you feel completely at ease. Excellent, very nice hosts, the breakfast is delicious, rich and something for everyone and the rooms are clean and spacious. Decorations are in the style of the '70s. I don't mind, but for some won't be enough. We've been given a small chambre in the attic, yet we've paid full price. They said they were full. Other than that, the breakfast is really good, I loved it. The small town is nice and you won't be mistaking to stop by.

The village is beautiful. I've never lived in one of the houses myself (not quite cheap), but we like to eat in the inn. Tastes delicious and the staff is very nice. Unfortunately closed all weekend

We (2 families with dogs) are spending four days in one of the five alpine huts. Although it's really bad weather, here it's an incredibly beautiful place to feel comfortable. The sauna house, delicious food, absolutely uncomplicated hosts and the lovingly furnished huts contribute to our relaxing short break. Hopefully we can come back again 😊

Breakfast amazing thanks to a devoted, involved and passionate owner of the hotel who used all her imagination and skills to prepare every day something different. Unfortunately we have to leave today. A small, fine hotel. The furnishing of the rooms was newly and lovingly designed. Breakfast very good. Is close to the mountains. I'm already looking forward to winter as I don't have far to go to the ski area. There is also a parking space for the car. 🤗👍

I think I booked a room for 4 but accidentally only named the 2-adults. When we turned up with 2 additional children they were very good about it.

Nice Alpen Choice Clean and comfortable family room. Great for short stay....but can imagine also to stay longer. Nice location and good selection of breakfast ...but be sure to come earlier as after 10AM the selection was limited.

Basic room but had character and was clear and well kept. Main bit of hotel was basic and had a bit of a youth hostel feel. Pillows were awful (lumpy ) but bedding otherwise very comfy. Breakfast good with a fair selection, Lovely bread. No decaf coffee anywhere.
