Best Western Plus Atrium Hotel

Very bad experience. The room smells like windows haven’t been opened in years. If you open them, you’ll see a nice collection of spider nets. If you don’t, you’ll have your private sauna in the room for there’s no air conditioning. Quite poor breakfast. 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was friendly and professional.

Bad experience. Unfriendly receptionist. No air conditioning in this burning atmosphere in summer on the highest floor. The lift is not available. Will never come again

I have stayed in the middle of a city for a much cheaper price, bigger bed and bigger room than this loud and burning room with a very disappointing service.

We were shocked when entering the room, since it was small, and only prepared for one person. At first we tought there is some mistake with the booking, but nope. They insist that it is the right room, and they will bring the second set of bedding.

But no one did come and brought anything. We had to get the bedding ourselves when we came back to the hotel at 11:30 PM.

No wonder this hotel only has 4 stars, which is too generous, in my opinion: a small bed for two (only 140x200), very loud at night since it is located very near to the street, also NO air conditioning! It was sommer and we stayed at the topmost floor (5th).

Don't know how they get this 4 star rating, just one thing for sure, I wont come stay here again.

How can a modern hotel with 4 star rating Not have aircond nor circulating air in rooms???
Service was disappointing, called the reception to ask for a fan and was promised to return call, no call came, and I tried ringing the reception desk over the phone, no one answered the phone for the past 2 hours!
Finally came down to confront the reception, was told no fan is available, and only then offer to change my room to a "cooler" room, which was next to the road.
Can't blame the staffs, they are doing what they can despite being understaffed, at least the front desk manager was understanding and apologetic and is trying to make an uncomfortable situation comfortable.

A four star hotel? It is completely a joke. We stayed one night in a room that felt like sauna. No aircon for a 34 oC daytime and all heat through the windows was fully trapped in the room. The reception girl is friendly and handed over a fan to me. But the fan is almost useless under that circumstance even that the windows were open in the night. On the other hand, the open windows freed the bugs and mosquitos. In addition, the curtain could not be closed thanks to the open windows. What an awkward sleepless night in a so-called four star hotel. Today we checked in a two star B&B hotel in Austria. We felt a much pleasant surrounding.

The WORST hotel ever!!!

Our door was knocked with "OPEN THE DOOR" shouting around 02:00 AM.

How horrible!

We booked two rooms (204, 205). The two rooms are interconnected. I heard a knock on the door of 205 and was awakened from sleep. I woke up my husband immediately. When we were very panicked and hadn't reacted in the very first minute, the person outside was already trying to open the door with the key card. Since I put a china cup over the handle on the inside of the door and the person outside had turned the handle, the china cup fell to the ground. But since we locked the lock inside the door, he couldn't push the door open to get in. Then he started knocking on 204's door again. At this time, my husband asked what was the matter, but the people outside only shouted "OPEN THE DOOR!"

We tried to contact the reception several times, but nobody answered the phone. We contacted our booking agency. They helped to contact the reception, but there was still no answer. Our agency also told us not to open the door.

In the meantime, my husband asked who was outside, and the guy told us he is the security. There is no peephole on the door, so we couldn't see what was going on outside. He kept shouting "OPEN THE DOOR!" outside. Then we told him to call the police.

The police arrived in time. Then we knew the security got the complain from the guest in room 203, saying there was "bibi" sound in the neighbor room. But there was no such sound in our room. Then the security heard the sleeping music in 205 and said it should be the relaxing music. I really doubted this saying because the only neighbor of 205 was 204, which was also our room. The room 203 was only neighbor of 204. My husband tried to communicate with the security person and asked why he didn't call us via the room phone. But the person said he did not speak English well. They could not communicated at all. However, his version "OPEN THE DOOR" really scared us.

Later, we even called the ambulance to come because I felt too sacred and difficult to breath and could not stop trembling.

The second day, I was still trembling. We let the booking agency to contact the hotel about what happened last night. The hotel only said it was not dealt appropriately, but even not apologized to us formally.
