Where to stay in Walsrode

Overall an excellent hotel. Had a single room, everything was presented. Only down side was no airconditioning, on a day being 30 degree celsius these would have been amazing. Staff is well rounded, speaking fluently English is a plus for Germany. Price is on the lower end these days, with a breakfast included below a € 100. They even deducted a incorrectly booked service.

Good location on the countryside. Room was ok. Staff in reception was not so friendly, much friendlier staff in the breakfast. The breakfast itself was superb. Pricing was on the high side. Overall a 3out of 5.

Very satisfied with my stay. Nice rooms, splendid service from the staff and good food. Beautiful surroundings that is perfect for a morning run. Here I will return if the possible occurs.

Nice and clean. Very fine breakfast. Excelent bed, not the best pillow. Not a lot of light in the bathrom, the small lamps on the wall did not light up more than af couple of candles, the lamp over the mirrow did not work. No water boiler in the room, to make tea/coffee. This is my third time stay at this hotel. The room is clean and cozy. The service is good. The reception answered all the questions and solved my problems nicely. They show their great hospitality to customers.I don’t speak German. They tried their best to help me. Definitely come back for next trip in Walsrode.

We booked a room trough Expedia and something went wrong at their system. There was no reservation in the hotel. Expedia customer service didn’t help us at all. And there was no room available for my family of 5 in the hotel. Luckily the very friendly owner went to much trouble to help us out. He offered his Holliday house nearby for the price of the room. Location is good, we only went there for 1 day. So we were not able to see much of the area. But what we saw was a green and peaceful environment. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. Furthermore, the staff was also friendly. The bird park and serengeti safari park in Walsdorf are also nearby (by car), just check in advance if they are open...

Very clean, Good service and well lit parking lot

We booked a family room at this hotel. We got one on the second floor. It was nice and spacious, with a balcony overlooking the green garden. The second room I booked on the ground floor was less roomy. In the evening we reserved breakfast and breakfast time. In the morning all was prepared for us. Breakfast was pretty good, staff were friendly. A good place to stay on our way to Serengeti park.

The property is located on the outskirts of town so there's little audible traffic noise. The hotel is quaint and typically German in style. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was that it lacks a lift to the 1st floor which may be an issue for guests with various mobility problems.

Great value for money. Beautiful surrounding and extra friendly staff. Dogs are welcome and you can directly walk from the property into the forests and nature parks with it's unique flora, fauna and wildlife. Highly recommended, not just for a budget overnighter..

Very good hotel with restaurant. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was very tasty. There was a play area in the house and a great playground outside - very family friendly. Fairly close to the Autobahn. Small but sufficient and tasty breakfast. The restaurant serves good food that suits a family. Ok rooms, we had problem with the air condition but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Electric car charging is possible for two cars, although it is priced the same as an expensive supercharger which is a bit too much.

Perfect for families with kids Room number 21 is actually an apartment with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The backyard is full of activities for kids. The room 21 is perfect for families who attend to assembly in Heidemark-Halle. Kids will love to play after sitting the whole day.

I stayed here on business and was slightly nervous after reading some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. However, I should not have worried. Is this a super modern five star luxury resort? No, and it doesn’t pretend to be. It is however one of the most warm and friendly places I’ve stayed for ages. Every single staff member was lovely and they all coped well with me speaking no German whatsoever...

Stayed here 30 years ago on our honeymoon, it is still almost exactly the same. Typical German hotel room, no tea/coffee. Wouldn't like to stay here in the summer, no air con and lots of road noise when you sleep with the window open. Location is good for touring the surrounding area.

Good all round old fashioned hotel, excellent breakfast buffet. Only missing tea and coffee making facilities in room. But you can get a coffee or tea fom the bar.

Best place around Excellnt in every single way

I don't like previous guests' hair in the bathroom, and I don't like unauthorized tiles in the bathroom.

We arrived at 11pm with a reservation and missed the fact that reception closed at 10. Only the bartender was there closing up. Even though it was not his job he set us up with the room and fixed us a cold meal with what he found in the closed kitchen. With a cold German beer it tasted wonderful. Rooms adequate, parking good and breakfast really good, well above average.

The holiday camp is ideal for families who want to take their dog with them on holiday. But also for anyone who loves a taste of camping. We only met nice and friendly staff. Unfortunately, we lose points because it is sometimes difficult to get the allergy list in the park. The online list does not match what the staff say. Nevertheless, we had three days of fun and it was a successful short holiday

Had a great cabin, very close to toilets, if you sleep at the other end of the site it's a bit of a walk. Great service, very friendly and helpful. Hut, toilets and showers clean. There are enough toilets and single showers, unfortunately only a hair dryer. We booked a pirate themed suite which was around 350€. The room was okay, but had no AC and no mini bar. Just how is this possible at this price point?? It was way over 30 degrees outside and the staff left the windows open all day so it was incredibly humid inside the suite. This is far from comfortable. Especially for children and babys. It is a decent 3-star hotel located in the center of the town. The rooms are spacious and nice, but they are a bit worn down at the same time. The bed is large and comfortable. Breakfast is a bit basic, but they can make you an omelet on the spot, which is excellent, and good coffee as well. It maybe a bit pricey but for its 3 stars is pretty good without being pretentious.
