Beds are fine, as are the pillows. Bathroom is very basic, but the shower has good pressure. Breakfast is without a doubt great, all tastes fresh and there's a huge diversity to choose from

Big buffet breakfast with lots of options and good food

The style is from the 70-80s, it can usefully some renovation but it’s still nice and cozy. The best part was definitely the rich and varied breakfast. Recommended considering the prices that you find around Basel

Not that far from the boarder but the service is not that good. Asked for a taxi at the reception and they said we dont have taxi. I was expecting a little more proactivity and help. Rooms are good!

Nice staff but Illmaintained rooms. No fridge, no USB ports, missing bed lamp, broken radio. However, good for the price, but I wouldn't pay more. Clean. Dog-tollerant.

Working in Basel so booked into a superior room on 9th floor. Very spacious with a table of 4 chairs so easy to work and have dinner. Fan included so no air conditioning unit but comfortable

We didn't have breakfast on this occasion, however when we have done, there has always been more than enough choices and good coffee. All of the staff we have come into contact with are both friendly and efficient

There is a good selection of bars and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. Unfortunately at this moment in time (March 2021), due to coronavirus everything is takeaway only

Lovely comfortable beds, good powerful shower and everything is nice and clean. A big bonus for us is being able to open the window and get fresh air

You can't move the two single beds to make a double bed so make sure you specifically say what bed you want when you book. :) Even if you book for multiple days, you only get tiny shampoo packet and no toothpaste

No problem there is REWE shop @ 5 mins walk where you can buy what you need. Plenty of Biergarten and Restaurants within 10mins walk. Very close to everything else. I liked it and would probably stay there again

She was easily one of the most pleasant and joyful people I have met. The breakfast offering was more than adequate. The room rate was €98 and one of the best hotel bargains I have had in a while

This is a delightful family-owned hotel. The location is tucked back in a sleepy residential area of this small town. It was an easy walk to town center. The facility is charming and the rooms are surprisingly spacious

Fabulous breakfast and also very dog friendly completes the picture. The Schwanen is a stone's throw from Switzerland (no, really!) and France is 5km down the road so you have no excuse for not visiting

There are however few negative points to be mentioned: - creaky and noisy bed - strange smell in the room Furthermore, although Weil am Rhein is a cheaper alternative to very expensive Basel, the room at Zur Krone is highly overpriced

Paying 80 euro for a night at a guest-house is in my opinion an insane exaggeration

I wanted a hotel that i can arrive late too an check in at any time. They gave me a code to get the key, stright forward.

Great small hotel. Reasonably priced and good restaurant. Good option when near Basel.

Good local cuisine at rather steep / Swiss prices. Nothing really adventurous on the menu. The right place to go for lunch with your nana and enjoy the panoramic views.

Upscale family-run hotel and restaurant, walk distance to tram station, less than 4 km to 'Fondation Beyeler art museum' and situated in the heart of the 'Dreieckland' ( tri-border area) where Germany, Switzerland and France share the same border

The hotel is conveniently placed right in the centre of Weil-am-Rhein, but nevertheless quiet, a couple of hundred metres from the Swiss-German border. Private parking right at the hotel

Lovely hotel very closely situated to the train station and the downtown with a lot of shops and restaurants. The breakfast is outstanding, the stuff is helpful and very family friendly

The hotel and its surrounding area are clean, people are very friendly. The restaurant was busy in the evening which is usually a good sign and indeed the food was excellent

The scissors between service and price/ quality is not good. Old Hotel, minimal room, old furniture. Top point the garden restaurant ( expensive!!! ) to be in Germany , and positin very close to the borders

We stayed in the 4 person hotel - it was well furnished and had coffee and tea in the room. Parking garage was in the building but not free, breakfast was included and excellent - multiple jams, meat and cheese plates

Well designed place with a 'ship' theme. The rooms are also designed to look like they are rooms on a ship. The feel is very vibrant, ambiance is good. The schnapps are yummy.

A narrow and windy road leads up to a little hill not far away from the town-centre. There it stands: the old villa in the middle of a green garden with old trees and great space of green

Nice little hotel that is more like a guesthouse. Very clean and good price for value with uncomplicated and friendly hosts. Bus stop to Weil am Rhein nearby, and the castle is just a short walk uphill away.

Nice rooms with proper service and friendly staff, even at late night arrival. I stay often and was never let down. It's a low-price hotel which does not pretend to be more than it is. Nice and easy.

Best neapolitan pizza abroad. Tapas are good and the rest of the menu is very good. Nice place to relax and play bowling or snooker after dinner.

The bar of nice and offers a good selection of cocktails which you can enjoy during your game. There are also disco-nights at the bowling lanes creating a fun atmosphere. The food is average, however fairly priced

The place also offers darts, pool and table soccer (they also need some renovation). Finally, there are fields for volley, inside soccer, etc. (the facilities are pretty good)

Fun time there. You can go bowling and other things. The food is good and the drinks are too. Its close to a park if you like to go for a walk after food.

The most negative aspect is the lack of automatic bumpers for children. There are some sort of long pipes that block the edges, however this way you cannot combine a game of children and adults
