Good hotel with excellent rate price/service. And the town is very nice for a tour at night!

In Overall it was good. However, you need to be early to get all options during breakfast and the presentation was not the best.

Self service restaurant food can be a bit hit and miss but generally good choice and value. Helpful staff and located within easy reach of the local attractions

Stayed for 5 nights on a Great Rail Journey's holiday. A modern hotel that can cope with lots of large groups. Very comfortable rooms, good facilities

Medium hotel with good location ata center of Wernigerode, recommended for family and leisure, bfast is good as well

In the evening the same area was a restaurant with very good food. The bar in the same area is open in the evenings and are a nice place to recap what you have seen during the day

It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound

A lovely place to stay! We loved the back story of the white stag. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. Parking is behind and under the hotel.

Superb location right in the middle of town. A historically significant building that is well-maintained. The rooms are clean and well-appointed

Breakfast is a typical small hotel breakfast. Good thing is that you can use your invoice as a ticket in Wernigerode buses. I would definitely stay there again. And they also have a sauna in the hotel but I didn't try it

Nice place in historical building. Provides great view on castle which is on top of the hill. Historical centre is in 5min by walk. Friendly staff. Finnish/Turkish sauna included in the room price.

Great sauna and nice staff. The apartments are comfortable and spacious but some of the furniture is a bit shabby which feels strange. Breakfast was ok, not exactly great but that might be due to the times. (COVID)

Charming building right below the castle, at the entrance of the Old Town. Only remark would be that the rooms in the 'new' aisle are a little bit small if you have luggages

Rooms a bit old but adequate for the price. The check in closed at ten when we visited so call ahead if you're running late

Otherwise, for a weekend in Wernigerode, I highly recomment the Hotel Fürstenhof!

a great hotel only down side is noise of local fire station but has good restaurant and is less than 10 mins walk from hsb and local station and 8-10 min walk from town centre and I good room viewing the hsb railway I will be back soon thank you to all at hotel altora mr earl

The dining experience is excellent. The little train that brings drinks and dessert is such a quirky feature you'll not be able to take you're eyes off it.

The food in the restaurant is EXCELLENT! Very yummy and the dishes have railroady names. And the staff are very friendly and helpful!

If you're a railfan this is THE place to stay when you visit the HSB. The engine terminal is right across the street. The place is decorated with train pictures and memorabilia

The owner very courteous and very helpful would also get things if you noticed what should be missing in the apartment. The location of the apartment is excellent, you can easily walk to everything

The pension is in a very quiet location, but still centrally located so that you can reach the very beautiful city center in a short time on foot. Everything is very clean and the landlords were very nice

Well we have to say it was one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever had. The apartment itself is very well maintained and very well furnished with everything you need for a relaxing holiday

A very nice apartment! Can accommodate up to 4 people. Comfortably furnished, charming in the rear building. Also perfect for the summer. Very flexible landlord. I can just recommend it. 🥰

Everything went perfectly. Everything you need plus a steam sauna was on site. All clean. Only the couch could be a bit more comfortable. Thanks for the nice stay!

Das Frühstück und die Lage waren super. Man war direkt in der Altstadt und hatte viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe.

Nice and lovely place, very welcome. Clean rooms , Bathrooms only need some kind of antislip mat in the shower. This place is 10 min walk from the castle and 10 min walk to town centre

You can have a good breakfast at the bakery next door. The location means that even the hotel smells of baked goods

However, there is no parking lot near the hotel, the car can be parked in public parking lots (about 300m away) for a parking fee. Well, it's difficult with the luggage

A pleasant stay in a pleasant hotel. I would likely pick this hotel again if I stayed in Wernigerode. I was worried about being disturbed at night but was not. Out of the local restaurants, a Greek one was best

The Brocken train ride is the headline attraction. It is very pricey, but worth it. Recommend a good walk from Schierke to where the Berlin Wall was

Excellent food and service and extremely enjoyable atmosphere and staff! My tip is Carpaccio octopus and homemade Tiramisu. By the way, as a starter, have a Hasseröder beer!

Great price for the room, with a great buffet breakfast included. They didn't require a credit card to reserve a room, were incredibly friendly and prepared our breakfast table with a baby seat without us having to ask.

This was our second time at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The owner took time for us and made a recommendation for specially offered dishes. We take advantage of this offer and were pleasantly surprised

It's ok, parking is good, breakfast is nice, children's meals are more for adults with regards to taste and ingredients, rooms are good, internet is hit and miss, cannot stay connected for more than 2 mins

A host who cares about the guests. On the 24th and 25th of December he cooked very tasty for his guests, unscheduled. Very nice staff, quiet area, parking lot, no luxury but well managed, loving care

New and modern, but very old-school German. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful and very affordable. The only drawback is that it’s not directly in the old city

The good things are the bus stop right in front of the hotel and the supermarket is right next to it

However, it’s great for traveling and seeing the neighboring cities and the area. Only about a 30 minute walk to town

Nice camping place next to the Hotel with access to all facilities and restaurant. Good place to start a visit to Wernigerode and its surroundings

We had a choice of campsite and plenty of space (end August) and were able to wash and dry our laundry (€8 a bit much when compared with other campsites)

The washrooms were a bit limited, with cooking, washing up, laundry, and chemical loo emptying all in the area of the women's toilets

Friendly reception even though we turned up without a reservation and the staff were busy with a wedding at the time
