Typical German: Carpet everywhere! What's strange is the tourist tax, you will need to pay that cash. Card is only possible for your reservation. Parking is possible on the adjacent (paid) parking lot, but there are not...

I've spent about a month at this family owned hotel. Even though it's a quiet location (exactly my preference), within walking distance you can reach everything important. The family running the hotel is very nice and flexible if the guests have special requests. Really made me feel at home. Looking forward to my next stay there!

Perfect country feeling in this quiet hotel. The nature is so close in all directions, if you really want to relax in this area this is the perfect place to do it. Probably the best place to stay in the vicinity. I spent a few weeks here and it was just amazing. Shops / restaurants are in 5-10 min walking distance in the lovely town of Xanten. The owners of the hotel were so friendly and welcoming that at the end of my stay I felt like I'm part of the family. I will definitely visit again.

I have spent here several weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It's a family run hotel where people are kind and take care of everything. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean, the area is calm. However the hotel is in the outskirt of Xanten it's easy to walk into the city center within 20 minutes. To stay here is highly recommended.

It was truly AMAZING! We stayed there because our car broke down but everything exceeded my expectations. The hosts even made breakfast earlier for us. Truly amazing experience

Very nice hotel we liked our stay. When we are in Xanten again we surrely want to stay in this hotel again. After a walk around the village looking for a restaurant we decided to have diner at the hotelrestaurant, because the menu looked the best. We were glad with our decision. The food was great. Good taste elegant presentation. Nice service.

Excellent value town centre hotel and good breakfast

The quality of food was quite good and the menu had some interesting dishes. The service was very fast despite a busy evening at the restaurant and quite friendly as well. Didn't like the fact that you need to pay extra for ordering vegetables instead of potatoes.

We enjoyed our stay in a spacious, modern and newly-furnished room on level three - it was clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. The staff serving dinner were friendly, and the hotel also helped us store our bicycles in a safe place indoors during our stay. It's worth noting that the sauna is €5 extra, but that included slippers, a bathrobe and a bottle of water, so I thought it was fair. Overall...

For some reason my room was not serviced during my stay

So far, since I am in Germany this is the hotel I enjoy the most. Really clean and the view is breathtaking. The breakfast is also rich and cheap. I highly recommend also the boat trip to Emmerich Later edit: another visit same perfect services :)

The room is great. It has a bath! A nice view of the rhine. The service was very friendly but the restaurant was bad.. extremely bad. The salmon was raw on the inside. The vegetables was still half frozen. It was clearly microwaved. The burger looked decent but the burger was black on the outside. So maybe not eat here..

This place has a great view of the Rhine River. Prices are fair considering the view. Very clean inside including the rest rooms. Possible to rent electronic bikes here for a ride down or up the Rhine along the dikes...

So far the closest location to the Rhine River. I got lucky and got upgraded to a room with view. Definitely a place to visit. Perfect place to stop also if you are a biker or just want to have a nice lunch either in the restaurant or the terrace. If you are staying over night clearly you have to visit Xanten. Overpriced. Generally the price would not match the value the hotel provides. The hotel itself has great potential, however the cleanliness was lacking. The sauna facilities were great. A lovely country hotel, a bit old fashioned but still very comfortable and clean. The service was excellent, such friendly and helpful staff. The Wellness area is nice with a variety of saunas. A bit dated compared to other Wellness resorts but still very nice.

I stayed in this hotel for one night before my flight back to Canada in Amsterdam. The hotel is all one level so no steps. The check in was great, the staff was friendly and they spoke English very well. The room had a fan but no A/C which was Ok for sleeping. The restaurant has good food but not a huge selection. I've been there a couple of times. Rooms are spacious but to me, insufficiently illuminated at night. The breakfast is very good and is served in a very nice restaurant. In a nutshell, it offers a good cost/benefit

Rooms were cosy and clean, personal was warm and friendly. I was quite unhappy they didnt have a restaurant to eat dinner.

Beds far to soft and creaky. Plus only one coffee sachet along with three flavoured tea bags and two milks, for two people. If you wanted more they charged you. Sorry but come on think of the long term.

Very nice, clean and spacious room and the hotel has nice ball rooms that you can celebrate special occasions in (birthdays, weddings etc) - we went there to attend a birthday celebration and the food was delicious.

Only attended breakfast buffet. This was well arranged and everything was tasty but alltogether it was short of any surprises. Coffee was served in thermos jugs but still managed to be cold which is an absolute no go.

Breakfast would have been spectacular for a big hotel. For such a small one, it was beyond amazing. Never had so many fresh options. The hotel is extremely quiet, two-three minutes from the center. Spotless clean.

Hotel is located in a quiet location. A tad overpriced for a double room, but we had a balcony which was nice. The bathroom is tiny and the shower didn't work properly. The bed was comfortable as long as you're used to the split mattress. The tv was difficult to get to work.

I made a room resevation online. I experienced a warm welcome upon my arrival by a dynamic team at the reception. My stay was safe and without disturbance. The services, meaning room cleaning, breakfast and restaurant, are of high quality.

Relatively new hotel, modern setup with open bathroom (don't really like that, but that is personal). No cleaning service whatsoever during our 3 nights stay. The shower is excellent, but not clean enough (mold), and the joints between the tiles in the toilet came loose, and the toilet paper holder was almost falling from the wall. Apart from this te most disgusting toilet brush I ever saw in a hotel...

We had a very pleasant stay in this wonderfull hotel. It is modern, clean, situatie in the centre.

The hotel is located in a nice place on highway number 40 (Autobahn40) and behind the hotel is a very nice park and open swimming pool. The reception has a very nice decoration and atmosphere, which offers a nice sitting down with nice music. The rooms are very nice and big compared with the local hotels with the same pay. There is a very big free parking place to park the car easily. I like the place...

Well. Let say we have been to several Van der valk hotels, and this one is not so good for us. The room was fine with balcony except it was not safe if you wanted to have the door open. Plus, smokers-was allowed on the balcony.

We only stopped here to make use of the Tesla superchargers. All of us urgently had to use the bathroom which was no problem! Lovely lady at the reception desk showed us the way. We were able to play some foosball and go for a walk near the river and lake. Beautiful place both inside and outside.

actually very pleased with this hotel. rooms were decent, big and clean. we also had access to a little garden just in front of our balcony which was perfect for our dogs

It’s a nice ,clean, quiet and comfortable place. The only downside is the tv’s in the room’s are outdated. I was really enjoying the food,Eduardo head chef, and his team have surprised us with their modern and, above all, exquisite cuisine. Furthermore, the chef did visit our table and we thank him for that.

Home away from home Eurohof is our go-to hotel when visiting family and friends in Duisburg. Clean, quiet room, excellent restaurant, ample parking. Located in a scenic rural “bubble” amidst the industrial area of the Rhein River.

Super old rooms, carpets almost worn through, curtains hanging from broken fittings. It really does need a huge update and painting. My room was also on the busy road junction so couldn’t have the windows open so the room was like a sauna. Even with the fan blowing full it’s just blowing warm air around. Plastic sheets on the beds too so you’re sweating anyway. Basic cheap mattresses and pillows. Bathroom...

There is no air conditioning so try to not be on the top floor when it's warm

A fine hotel at the edge of the town centre. The hotel is old but well maintained and very clean. The bed is comfortable and breakfast is good. The hotel is situated next to a busy road, so it will not be perfectly silent at night. Also, the hotel is not weelchair accessible everywhere.

I was again happy. And opposite the great Pizzeria Paradiso restaurant.
