Where to stay in Samana

Ubicación una isla hermosa, habitaciones amplias y muy bonitas (villa), comida a la carta, bebidas de buena calidad, personal atento y super amables, cero ruido, buena música. La playa muy buena.

We spent our amazing vacation here in March 2019 and were booked to return March 2020. Sadly, covid made that impossible. We hope to return again as it was a perfect vacation. The rooms, the service, the food, beaches and pools were beyond our expectations.

One of the best and quiet hotel in Samana.

A 'Excelente' super great resort to go to. We had a great week at this great island paradice,... specialy with Edwin, a great animator on the beach. We will go back!

Room 301. Malcolm/Patricia Jones We did not have hot water for the last three days of our stay. We did report this on day one and day two, Day three the day we were leaving we were told it was going to be fixed. This supposed to be a 5 star LUXURY hotel. We will be seeking recompense for this. Also allowing men into the main buffet just wearing beach shorts and no shirt, wow your standards are dropping...

This is great hotel at an outstanding location. My first trip to the Dominican Republic could not have been better. The beach and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Service is friendly and the food is amazing. I had the two meals per day plan, which was more than enough for me. There was a wide selection of food options wih new items added every day. Really enjoyed our visit at this resort. Pleasant and clean accommodations, wonderful staff, beautiful scenery and quite decent food. Being close to town, (short, easy walk from resort) was great. Definitely felt safe doing this. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. Samana is a beautiful small town with mountains, green trees and beautiful bay. And this hotel is on the best location. We love the stunning view from balcony, as well as walking distance to town. The package price we paid was so great, plus the email about services changes, we're expecting a quiet stay in paradise. We didn't like the idea of over eating/drinking at all inclusive...

Absolutely gorgeous location and great food!

Very pretty resort however not 5 star in any stretch. Firstly it is advertised as adults only. This is not true. They even have kids programs. Wifi is very spotty and we had to get new door keys almost every day. They advertised several restaurants but very hard to get reservations as only 1 specialty open per day.. top shelf booze was an extra cost as well. Buffet nice but same food everyday.

The rooftop pool has the best view. The rooftop restorante has the perfect menu and service. Highly recommended!

Being here truly made our time in Samana. We arrived via boat and mostly experienced the restaurants and general amenities. Great place to relax and refuel for a few days. Service was truly excellent and the staff was very helpful!

Positive: Great location and European standards. Cleans rooms, clean bed sheets and great personal. Negative: Small rooms, very uncomfortable bed and mattress was wrapped in plastic so you sweat all night long and feel like sleeping on a plastic bag, so we didn't rest in the night. No mosquito net on the windows.

Nice quiet place 5 minutos from the center of town.

I would encourage any gringos who have some problem at their fancy resort to stay in this hotel. You'll get a feel for what the Dominican Republic is actually like. It seemed to be only locals staying here and it was affordable. It was not fancy in any way, but it was comfortable enough and served it's purpose. We had a room for $900 RD a night.

This was a perfect resort, exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean, good food, this is a small resort with lots of wonderful staff, always kind, and helpful. I highly recommend this resort if you are looking to rest, meet a few other guests, enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

Excellent resort with lovely view and rooms that were comfortable and spacious. Got the all inclusive and food was plentiful but only allowed well brands mostly outside of rum. Would definitely recommend a stay there if you get the chance and the staff are super helpful. Model is @dwan.marie

Deceiving advertisements on web. Claimed all inclusive but really partially inclusive. Advertising 4 restaurant, two of which are a la cart. Both a la cart restaurants closed and only offered buffet for dinner. Lunch offered limited menu and buffet. Management did not seem to care other than say they were sorry. Traveled three hours via car to reach the resort. Honeymoon package offered was not honored...

My experience at this resort was better than I expected.. except when it came to the walk back to the rooms. My card key failed 10times and I had to walk 10times back to the lobby.. it was one of the problems. Another one was the day of departure. Every staff member was rude and I got food poisoned. Overall I give it a 3.5-5. Update: I just read their reply. Lmao I’m telling you service is horrible

I just came back from a 1 week vacation here and it was amazing. This is going to be a long review so buckle up. Upon arrival we noticed the resort is a bit of a drive from the city but for about 200 DOP (4 USD) you can get to the city via uber, they will pick you up right from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.. if you're looking for quiet and relaxation this place is pretty good... However to make this a 5 star, The mattresses and pillows seriously need to be upgraded, this was one of our big let downs. No bath robes and no slippers in the room !!.... The view from our room was fantastic.. The management staff tended to our needs The food was ok.... I wish for more variety of fresh...

Its the most beautiful place that i have ever seen. Service was wanderful, nice persons, very quiet, safe and clean. The view is breath taking, i couldn't absorb so much beauty from nature. Just wanderful!

Very nice small hotel with basicaly 25 clients maximum. Comfy bungalows without aircond but with a direct access to the pool or private beach. The hotel is owed by a nice couple of frenchies therefore the restaurant is good, except maybe for breakfast that I would juge as minimalist... They also have a very nice infinity pool and a semi-private beach down below. Prices are really reasonable for such an unique place. Amazing ocean/bay view! Richard's Sunhouse Samana was the perfect start to our honeymoon! Sunhouse Samana is located up the hill a little ways but you are close enough to walk to the restaurants and shops in the village. You have the best view outside of your private bed and bath. Great amenities including: breakfast served to you, large balcony overlooking the bay, free wifi, full kitchen, pool table...

Hola. Soy turista de Corea del sur quien me quede aquí. The owner he can speak english, spanish and french. Maybe he speaks german too. So we could tell him anything we need very easy. The accomodation is really nice cuz there is hot water, fast wifi and beautiful background scene. You can see the front sea of Samaná every morning and the evening. Me encanto este lugar!

Clean! Breakfast was nice eggs bread fruit... staff was nice and very helpfull. Don't expect to talk in English and the wifi wasn't anything great but was there.

We had an amazing stay at Figaro in Jan2021. The view is gorgeous for sure but the staff is also super friendly and willing to help! The breakfast is great and the staff team also sets up bbq on the roof for weekend days, which makes the atmosphere even cozier. The room was great, bathroom was very clean and functional and the WiFi worked very well! Definitely recommend!

They don't have credit card service, they don't have a pool. They have a room safe available when checking in. The bed is comfortable + the breakfast varies+ they offer fresh fruit + juice. This place is a great place to stay, the service.the staff is very friendly,you can also find one of the owners on premises. Free wifi + private parking. Your close to everything +every where.

Nilka Boutiqe Hotel is a nice little hotel in Samana. It is located in the second rows behind the sea. The rooms there are nicely furnished. The bed is comfortable and you can sleep well. The experience here was great. They have a remarkable service and their premises were neat at all times. The commodities offered were a great plus. I will definitely go back, they have the best value for what they offer.
