Very good hotel, for Egyptian standards, lots of swimming pools and restaurants/bars, a big plus is access to the aquapark and a small beach with piers with the possibility of diving. The space for sunbathing is enough, there is no need to do races for sun loungers at 6 am. The food for breakfast and lunch is average, but for dinner it is very tasty and varied. The staff is nice and helpful, the waiters are polite and very unobtrusively suggest to prepare special drinks or coffee for which they expect a tip, but they do it very culturally - I gave tips with a smile. The only drawback is the man who bakes pizzas (in the bar by the pools), who plays with his phone all day and during 7 days of stay I did not manage to get a piece of pizza, he always said that it will be in 15 minutes. Greetings to the lady who sings live in the main hall every evening, nice to listen to.

I visited this hotel for the second time, despite my promise after my first stay three years ago that I would never return. Unfortunately, I was convinced to give it another try, hoping for a better experience. Sadly, that wasn’t the case.Upon arrival, I was offered an upgrade to the Sirena Hotel, which I accepted. For 70 euros plus a 20 euro tip, it was a good investment, as the Fantasia rooms are terrible. However, what really damages the hotel’s reputation are the staff. They have become so accustomed to receiving tips that if you don’t tip the pool bartender daily, you can expect to wait up to 30 minutes for a drink. Sometimes, you only get part of your order. One dollar is no longer considered a tip, and anything below 5 euros is seen as insignificant. The problem extends to sunbeds, where loungers are reserved by staff with towels, only to be sold to guests later. Long-term reservations seem to be the norm here. At dinner, drinks would sometimes arrive late or not at all, unless you consistently tip and pay promptly. On more than one occasion, I received my drink only after finishing my meal.Despite these issues, there were some bright spots. The bar under the Sirena beach restaurant had excellent service, and the lobby bars at both hotels, as well as the Cave Bar on the beach, were quite enjoyable. The worst experience was the quad/buggy tour. The tour operator, "Alibaba and the 40 Thieves," was a disaster. We requested a faster ride and paid 350 euros for two buggies, supposedly Polaris RZR 900s. While they looked the part, the engine in the two-seater was completely dead—according to the guide, it was a weak 200cc motor, barely faster than a lawnmower. It took forever to reach 50 km/h, and we ended up back at the hotel before sunset. Overall, we paid double the price for a ride that didn’t even last two hours, including mandatory stops for shopping at overpriced stores, where prices were marked up by over 1500%.On a positive note, I can’t criticize the paper salesman and the perfumer from Fantasia, both were great people. The sea, unfortunately, was heavily damaged, which added to the disappointment of the trip.In summary, this stay was a waste of time. Luckily, I know of much better hotels in Marsa Alam, just a little further down the coast. One last note, there are clearly two classes of guests here—Italians and everyone else.

I just gotta say that us Czechs are terrible people to have as guests at any resort. We're rude, cranky and often forget the basic niceties or courtesies that you should not neglect if you're supposed to treat someone with respect.

So this was the best resort I ever was at in Egypt, and in terms of past experience, this is now the fourth resort. The previous three were in Hurghada, and this is the first one I was at in Marsa Alam. The area, considering the size of the resort (which is massive, by the way) is reasonably quiet, especially the deluxe area if you pay up for it. It was absolutely worth it for us, we got checked in immediately and had the rest we needed after a terrible flight. You may be forced to wait a while if you don't have deluxe rooms and just standard or whatever else they offer. Pictures show the deluxe room (parents + sister, an additional bed was set up in less than five minutes). Staff was very friendly throughout the whole week. Photos showing mostly white buildings are from the deluxe area. It is important to note that deluxe access can go to any restaurant for breakfast and lunch - but dinner is always served only in the large, central restaurant near the reception. Other room tiers get different levels of access, and only deluxe can really go anywhere and get almost anything. For us, the upgrade was quite cheap, so we went for it. If they offer it to you under $200, it's absolutely worth it.

I have to go on a brief tangent here - the resort has some Italian owners, absolutely. A lot of the visitors are Italian as well. But the idea that some people suggested here that Italians are preferred and that the staff is more biased towards them here is mere balderdash. I have never encountered being skipped in line, never had a lower priority than someone else, it was all common sense. The reason why some people might suggest such a thing in reviews is what I alluded to at the start; and that is that people are rude and expect to get everything in a place such as this. It won't kill you if you ask nicely for something at a beach bar and then say thank you. The staff welcomes it and they are more friendly towards you and also remember you through your entire stay. People who come into a partially Italian resort and expect the people there to not speak Italian are weird. Some of us should never be allowed to travel.

The beach itself is around 600-700 meters long. It's pretty clearly divided and most of it is in a lagoon, meaning the depth is quite shallow. You're looking at 140cm tops, but given the salt content, even smaller visitors will be fine, cause most of the time you'll just float anyway. I would highly recommend getting some protection for your feet, as is the usual case on such a beach, so you don't accidentally cut yourself on the rocks. Most of the seafloor is sandy, but it's best to be prepared. The area you can swim or relax in is pretty reasonable and I never felt cramped. It, however, gets very warm as it's shallow, so if you don't want a very hot sea, you should avoid May-August. We went in the middle of July and had frequently seen 40-42C temperatures. There's always plenty of spots to choose under some shade and towels are handed out in one spot on the beach. Deluxe gets a towel spot near their own pool section, behind the bar.

There is a pier with a stairway and an option to jump, it's about a 4-5m drop into an area with about 9-12m of depth. The coral reef there is very lively and fish are plenty, but it's best to appreciate them from a distance, some of them have a tendency to bite. If you have an action cam that can handle underwater recording, you can get solid footage here. It is very important to note that the area around the resort is some sort of a wildlife preserve or a national park, so the resort is very particular about taking care of the coral and the fish. Don't get in trouble by getting too close to any reef, I even saw someone standing on the reef, which was just baffling.

Character limit is hitting, so I'll clarify the rest below in the minisections.

The hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The facility is big and very well maintained. It has beautiful surroundings and large swimming pools. The room was modern and clean, thoroughly cleaned every day. There are plenty of activities and facilities available (such as a gym, photographer, excursions and beach volleyball court). For an extra charge it is worth using the spa services - wide offer, nice and competent staff. The steam room smells fantastic, the rooms are clean and the scrub used was the best I have ever used. Thank you Mohammed Mahmoud for help! The food was varied, always fresh and very tasty. The dishes were nicely displayed and once a week there is a typical feast filled with Arabic dishes. There was always something for everyone (gluten-free options were always available too). The restaurant and bar staff were top notch - caring for the guests, acting efficiently, tactfully and with a smile. Special thanks to: Ibrahim Mohamed and Mohammad Ali. The large swimming pool and pool bar are particularly cool. You can swim up and have a refreshing drink while sitting on chairs submerged in the water. Thank you Ali Abd Elaziz for the top-notch service. Beach towels can be changed daily and always helpful Life Guard Mahmoud Hussein and Hussein Mubarak take care of the safety and tidiness by the pool. The hotel is located right on the beach and coral reef, with sun loungers and a jetty available for guests to use. I would recommend everyone to stay at this place for holidays!

Well maintained resort with a great beach and enjoyable reef for snorkeling. The staff is very committed and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. Food is good but not exceptional. Wifi is very unstable and spotty. No elevators for the upper floors.

We spent a very good time in this resort. All the people working here are very kind, nice, friendly and do everything to make you completely satisfied, no matter where you are from. It is really not true that the hotel staff prefers italian tourists. We are from Czechia and didn't really have any problem. Animation team, cooks, weiters, bartenders, housekeepers... everybody here is soooo nice. There is nothing to complain about.
Accomodation in standard part of this resort is perfect, rooms are big, cosy, clean and comfy.
Food is really tasty and good quality, also drinks are not that bad.
There're parasols and sunbeds all arpund the resort (a lot of them are by the swimming pools and also on the beach). We enjoyed our stay fully and we can reccomend everyone spend some time here.

We have been to Egypt repeatedly, in the Fantazie Resort hotel it was an experience like Paradise for us. In this case, the stay exceeded our expectations in every way. We would like to thank the travel agency BlueStyles.cz, the entire course of the trip and stay was perfectly organized and completely trouble-free. The entire staff is extremely helpful and endlessly kind. The team made our stay at Hotel Fantazie exceptional and unforgettable. Many thanks Neonila Bochok and Hana Kmochová

Wonderful stay at Fantasia resort with my wife and couple of friends. Clean rooms, delicious food and perfect sea for snorkeling. I would like to say a big thank you specially to Africano from International animation team who was perfect! Very fun and enthusiastic in all activities. He deserves a raise!

Big hotel with green territory, first line to sea, sand beach, very beautiful coral reaf. Good clean pools. But old rooms, no shampoo, no robe, no slippers. The food is monotonous and tasteless. The hotel time is an hour ahead of Egyptian time, which is very inconvenient
