Hotel Bahia de Almunecar in Almunecar

We were supposed to be in the sister hotel at the east end of the town so there is just a small rooftop pool, although the hotel is close to the beach. It is much more central close to the old town and facilities. The hotel was fine, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was generally good although the fish and meat off the grill tended to be overcooked. The meat and fish in sauces was much better. Room was clean although there were roadworks nearby and it could be a bit dusty. Apparently we were better off being on the higher floor, 4th, we also benefited being above the rooftops opposite.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Bahia Almuñécar during our event weekend, and the friendly atmosphere made it even better. The unexpected kids’ activities, pool, and monitors kept our little ones entertained, while the food and outdoor amenities were great for the whole family. Although the rooms weren’t perfect, we spent most of our time enjoying the wonderful facilities, making it a great value for a family getaway!

The hotel was amazing. I was a solo traveller and the stay where very friendly and helpful. This was my second time at the hotel and I must admit this was better than my first time at the hotel. Lots of improvement which I was glad to see. The only thing was some of the quest, they noticed I was a solo traveller and they took advantage of it. I was having my dinner one night and the table next to me put their dirty dishes on my table as I was eating. I picked the plates and put them back on thteir table and told them NO. Well this did not go down well. When I was a the table having my breakfast the following morning one of the ladies walked my me and knocked my table to the point I nearly lost my coffee. She looked back at me and smiled. I was so glad I only had a few days left part of me wanted to let have quest know what I thought of them. Best part of the people there were German and no very nice the others where friendly. There was a cleaning lady she was singing Christmas corals as I came out my room she got me to dance with her. Lol she was amazing and soo funny lol.

Just booked one night at this hotel and we were very pleased with the experience. Very well located near the center of Almunecar (bus station, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, etc..), walking distance also to the beach. We did a thorough search on the internet until we found a very good deal. Large lobby, clean and well kept in general. Very professional and polite receptionist who started by asking if  I would like to speak in english or spanish. Per our request, he eventually changed our room from the first floor to the sixth floor. We got a large twin room (like shown in the pictures), with a large bathroom, with a tub and a half glass for shower. Shower gel and shampoo was provided. There was a well kept balcony (tidy, with a table, two chairs and an ashtray) with a view to the city center and the sea (sideways). I call the attention to how tidy this balcony was, with the stainless steel handrails absolutely spotless, without stains (very unusual as balconies are normally overlooked). Room had a big desk and a very helpful mini refrigerator. TV  (maybe satellite) few channels in english and a somehow difficult remote to work with. One night stand between the two beds. Each twin bed was actually a small double in size. Two reading lights. They have a car park for 12€/day. Street parking is possible on the nearby streets (paid until 14h00),  but during Summer months or peak weekends it would almost be impossible to find a street place (better to use their car park). We didn't try breakfast, but there are many options nearby. Overall we were happy with our choice and can recommend this hotel based on our good experience.

Stated for 9 nights Nay/June and returned at the end of July for 24 nights, some as a solo traveller before my husband joined me for the last 12 days. Already booked for Easter next year. The hotel is immaculately clean, staff are helpful and friendly and the food is of a good hotel quality. Nothing I can criticise as it’s just a great place.

It’s difficult to fault this place. It’s impeccably clean, the staff are friendly and helpful (all checkin staff spoke good English); the rooms are a good size with effective air-con and fridge; the roof-top bar and pool are just wonderful and the location is great - 2 mins into town and not much longer to the beach. Highly recommended.

We stay here for 4 nights for training camp (football). The hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, the stuff was friendly and serviceminded. The food was super and the location of the hotel good. Close to Supermarket, restaurants, football arena and to the beach. In addition, it was affordable. Thank you, we will definitely visit again.

We stayed at the hotel for Christmas 2021 with a few friends. The accommodation was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly. We joined in the Christmas eve gala evening and Christmas night buffet and the food was lovely although my husband and I would have preferred a service focused meal. Entertainment was fair and so had a lovely time. Very clean and hygienic. Thank you to everyone.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city and only 3 minutes walking distance to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner are served as buffet and there was a good choice of dishes. The pool on the roof top is fabulous and one can enjoy sun all day and beautiful views to the town and the sea. We will come back !
