Soho Boutique Equitativa

This was the best hotel experience we've had so far. We got a free upgrade to a suite - thank you so much for that! The room was clean and very nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the view was just unbelievably beautiful. Apart from that, the hotel is centrally located. The old town and many restaurants are within walking distance.

When you get off the taxi, it doesn’t look like much and you wonder if you made the right decision…. But once you enter the room, you high-five and know you’ve made the right choice. Extremely clean, large, open rooms with closets, linen, a full kitchen with a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge and cooktop will await you. Theres also a clean set of dishes and silverware available. There’s an open patio in every floor that brings sunlight in to the space. The bathroom has a double sink, and a separate standing shower and a bathtub shower so that two people can shower at the same time! The bathroom also has bidet and a toilet. Did I say large rooms already? They have a clean new kitchen sponge, dishwasher soap, dish soap and drying towel in a package for you. They have packaged combs, shower caps, toothbrushes available in the bathroom as well. The staff are polite and helpful. And then when you step out, you’re at the center of all attraction on either side! You’re literally one street away from the cathedral, shopping, restaurants and all the fun things!
I cannot recommend this place enough and cannot wait to come back here real soon!

A hotel with incredible views, it has just opened so everything is brand new. The service and attention is excellent, willing to help you with any request. Perfect location, highly recommended!

The views are unbeatable, as is the location, super central next to the main bus stops and shopping areas, just a second away from the port of Malaga. The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room are also worth mentioning.

To start with, we were very well received by Dani on the splendid terrace-bar. But also an excellent opening for La Equitativa, which was long awaited. Congratulations, and wishing the whole team every success, and for a new and emblematic hotel for Malaga. Ernesto and Paco

We had a great time at Soho Boutique Equitativa during our 4 nights stay. The hotel is centrally located with great views and friendly service. We were ugraded to a room with view (room 801) which was really nice and comfortable. Some things could be improved but will mention them going on, otherwise its a great stay.

Pros:

- Location, Location & Location. Couldn't be more perfect than this. Easy to walk everywhere with no need for public transport.
- We stayed at floor 8. It had only 4 rooms the whole floor. It felt very exclusive and we didnt hear a single noise with great room views.
- Friendly service in the hotels especially the guy that checked us and big shout out to the breakfast staff.
- Clean and well kept hotel with a fresh carefree vibe.
- Toilettries are from "Lalique" and they are high quality.
- Big comfortable bed with 3 pillows to suit all the tastes.
- Shower has great pressure in a fully marble room.
- Coffee Machine in the room and a very big TV screen.
- Elevators very effecient. Hotel was sold out but still seemed like we are the only ones staying.

Cons:

- Pool is small and is not heated at all. I got severe shoulder & neck pain for 3 days after that due to some windy period.
- Breakfast was a good selection but could be slightly more varied for 4 stars.
- Room has no tissues and bottled water not replenished.
- Near bed sockets are not very functional actually mainly USB socket.
- Room has only one chair, so you cant sit as a couple on baclcony lets say.

Overall, I would come again in a heartbeat as the location is unbeatable with comfy rooms and friendly service. What more could be asked for?!!

The location of the hotel was perfect, with the street across leading directly to the Old Town. It was also very convenient for accessing bus, train, and airline routes, which was important for us as we were frequently changing cities during our vacation. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to our room.

However, even though we received the upgrade, the room was still quite small. I can't imagine what the original room size would have been like. We had one large suitcase, and if we'd brought another, there would have been no space to open it. The closet was very small, around 50 cm, so we couldn't fit all of our things inside. Additionally, there was no smart TV as we had hoped. While the room had a flat-screen TV, it only connected to local channels, not Netflix.

Another issue was that, as shown in the pictures I shared, the hotel room faced the front of the building, and nothing could be hung outside the window. There was also no place inside the room to dry our swimsuits and towels, so we had to head to the beach every day with damp bikinis and towels.

On the brighter side, the breakfast was tasty, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, despite the small issues, our stay wasn’t bad, and we were happy with the experience.

Absolutely loved this hotel! It was very central and literally opposite the main strip that Semana Santa parade was being held. We had no idea but we were on the 9th floor facing the parade and it was something to witness. The rooms are a little small however very functional with air-conditioning and rain showers in the bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and staff at the front desk was helpful. Our room was impeccably cleaned daily. They do take a deposit of €10 for borrowing an umbrella.

We did not have breakfast here but it’s so central there are plenty of restaurants to try nearby.
