Castillo Playa in Caleta de Fuste

We just came back from this lovely place . We were there over Christmas . Lovely bungalows. Very spacious . Very clean. Lovely pools. Very friendly staff . Bar food was nice. Towels changed most days. Beds changed regularly. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely return. Very central location 5 mins walk to the Main Street / beach.

These bungalows are a lovely place to stay. They are very spacious with a good shower room and well equipped kitchen. We self catered and there were plenty of utensils and pots and pans. Plenty of storage and power points. As others have noted the decor is dated but this doesn’t detract from the stay. The private terrace with sun loungers is a real bonus. We found people ready to hand on their sun bed cushions and umbrellas between guests as they were leaving which is really lovely. The cleaners are exceptionally good and friendly and they take a lot of trouble with keeping the whole place clean and tidy and the gardens beautifully maintained. The pool is spotless. It’s lovely and quiet at night as it’s a little bit set away from the commercial centre. There’s a cafe which we didn’t use but was very popular. They sell big bottles of water to save you carrying them back from the supermarket. It’s a very short walk to the beach and the commercial centre. The hyperdino there is very well stocked. Do note you’ll need to pack hand soap, washing up liquid and sponges and dishcloths although they provide tea towels. The supermarket does sell small packs ideal for a week or two. We also packed a sharp knife as we mostly did our own cooking. We also packed a tin and bottle opener. Hope that’s a helpful tip. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance and if you’ve not visited this resort before you’ll find that they are very geared up to British visitors rather than local Spanish flavours. We found Tommy Nutters bar to be worth the walk up the hill for very good food (fish Friday) and friendly service. Otherwise we tended to self cater which was easy in the bungalow with a lovely terrace to eat on. There is a great bike hire place - caleta cycles just round the corner which we used and there are cycle paths in resort but if you’ve go further afield be prepared to use roads or go off road.

In the quieter part of Calletta which is the better part of Fuerventura - the hotel is under a flight path 5 min walk to shops/restaurants 2 * one storey attached bungalows- basic accommodation- clean but very much needing a paint & renovation Atmosphere quiet. Bar/cafe for meals up to 7:30pm & bar closes 10pm Value for money Avoid getting a bungalow on front as in road, noisy, no privacy & dusty. Service very good There are some cats here which do come into your bungalow if you leave door open Always fully booked

Wouldn't hesitate to book again ! Rooms are dated and tired but you sleep and shower there and they are more than adequate for that. For thoses who tbink TV is a must on holiday there are the main 5 channels plus a couple of film channels. Pool itself is excellent , clean and refreshing , and the pool bar and staff can't be faulted...... neither can the food , drinks or prices !

We have been visiting Caleta de fuste since 2007 and must've passed the Castillo playa on many occasions. Havent stayed in a 2 star for 20+ years and finally took the plunge this year as reviews were always really good. So glad we did as this is one of the best places to stay in the resort. The bungalows are dated as previous reviews have mentioned but everything in there works perfectly. Spotlessly clean and the Ladies on the bar & kitchen are wonderful and the other guests were very friendly. Pool was lovely and the whole ambience of the place works. Most relaxing holiday I think we've ever had. Bar prices were more than reasonable as was the food on offer. Booked again for next year for a longer stay this time and looking forward to going. I can now see why this place is always full. Keep up the good work.

We had a lovely weeks stay in October half term here with our 12 year old daughter . Yes the rooms are dated but they are perfectly functional and clean so thats fine by me as I don't want to go on holiday to spend time stuck in a room ! We tried several pools around the resort and this one was the best , never too busy and always at a very good temperature as it is heated . It is salt water but its not overpowering at all. Lifeguard wasn't over the top and didn't stop inflatables and balls in the pool , he was a nice lad too . Reception were very efficient and helpful, we did have a problem with our front door and it was sorted straightaway. The pool bar was fantastic and the food was great , we ate there a few times for breakfast , lunch and even had dinner there . 2 euro for a large Heineken in Happy Hour between 4 and 8 can't be knocked either ! The English ladies who run it were all very good too, really nice genuine people. As for some previous comments about there being lots of old people there , wellI'm not sure what they have against old people for a start ! 🤣 . There was quite a lot of old people there but there was also a good mix of young and middle aged as well. Thats just about sums it up ,I wouldn't hesitate in going back again, we don't have to go 5 star to have a good holiday so if you do don't go here

We've just returned from a week's holiday. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent and everything is within an easy walk. The apartments were as expected, yes they could do with a refurb, but they were spotlessly clean. My partner and teenage son are very tall, (both well over 6ft) , but the shower was ideal as was the main bed. For our son, we removed the cushions off the sofabed and but them on the floor, then used the tables to keep in place. He slept well all week. Result! The ladies in the snack bar were great and our son appreciated his 4 euro breakfast every day. We appreciated the happy hour. Great prices for drinks. The pool is large. We enjoyed walking/jogging along the promenade every morning. Shout out to the Jet 2 staff, Carl, Jordan and Zara who were really helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Good to see them in the resort. The last 2 two Jet2 hols we had were disappointing, but this was fab. If you want a great beach, a lovely pool and the resort on your doorstep this is ideal. We highly recommend this place!

3rd time iv been, good location, peaceful surroundings, good value for money, nice Clean bungalows. I liked the walk-in shower, comfortable bed 🛏️. Breakfast is good 👍.

Fantastic chilled out place loved it cleaners fantastic handy for shops and beach walk miss the place already but don't know if we will be back to fuertaventura
