Fabulous family hotel. Excellent location. The Beach is next to the hotel and further beaches and coves within 10/15 mins walk. The coastal walk, right outside the hotel, is perfect for pram walks/exercising. The hotel beach is large with climbing frames and plenty of room to play beach games. The sea was calm but around the corner the sea got really cropping and the waves are spectacular to watch...

Just back Saturday having been many times to this hotel it was sad to see how it has gone downhill a little. The room was a little grubby in places compared to previous stays before refurbished, entertainment not as good, plus no after disco, pool entertainment boring, no water polo only fitness… Momo was absolutely brilliant, funny entertaining. Food was below average, pork every night plus poor selection...

Overall a brilliant stay. The location was very good and having a beach right outside was perfect. Hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Service on the front desk was also excellent and welcoming but the dining room not so much. Rooms were great although bathroom was looking a little dated. Would recommend!

The staff in every sector were beyond helpful & so welcoming as nothing was ever too much hassle. The hotel is in stunning grounds & the food to high standard with plenty of variety. There is only couple minor issues ... the games room & entertainment closes early & the bar doesn't accept cash ... fully understandable due to covid. Very good hotel for a weeks holiday. Pools and outdoor space excellent, no shortage of sunbeds and right on the beach. Animation team also excellent; friendly and enthusiastic team. Food was OK, lacked a bit of variety in the buffet and popular items quickly ran out and not replaced very efficiently. Overall a great hotel for a relaxing poolside break.

It's a nice hotel with nice staff. Our particular room didn't have a great view but the room and bathroom were nice enough. Two nice swimming pools; one warm and one cool. Was a lovely room and hotel. Clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was a amazing but only down side is that it was at times very unorganized only had 2 bar and on my one was open at one time. We have just returned from a family holiday at this great hotel. My wife & I first visited in April 2017 for our honeymoon and loved it so much we booked to bring the kids back this year. Plenty to do, great food, comfortable rooms, great Animation team... I could go on. I'm sure we'll be back

The staff at the Hotel were really friendly throughout the stay. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and it made us feel relaxed straight away. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet and we also ate at the restaurants at the hotel which were also really good. The pool area was really clean and there was no issue finding a sun bed.

This was an unexpected visit due to being diverted because our flight could not land in Maderia. The staff at the hotel were all amazing and very helpful. We had a really great week here at the hotel. The hotel itself is great, albeit could do with a bit of an update in places, but the rooms were spacious and clean. I want to mention one individual who helped me when I injured my little toe his name was Tom. Incredible member of staff hugely helpful in taking me to the hospital. Absolutely loved our 1-week stay here! Lovely hotel. Stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow both with en-suite, with 2 sun terraces, 1 of which had a beautiful sea view. Gorgeous location. All staff are so hard working and very friendly. The service was definitely 5 star. All staff were helpful and took the time to say hi. I was upgraded to a royal level so I really cannot say anything too negative. It’s really cheap to take the bus (line 3) from the airport for like 1.45 euros but there is like a 20 minute walk to the resort. We were in the Royal Level in September, but have now returned to the beach resort for a month . The apartment is superb with great views from the 1st floor. There is a large terrace off of the bedroom and a huge terrace from the living room. The kitchen is small but set out well. Enough equipment to cook a small meal. Beds are extremely comfortable. Just returned home from a fabulous 10 days at this hotel. Reception we received from ALL the staff was wonderful. Beautiful hotel in a great location, near enough to all the amenities but also far enough away to take or leave. One of the best all inclusive holidays I've been on with my two children. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean with staff coming daily to tidy round. We booked as a last minute sunny holiday and the photos of the resort is what sold it to us. In the past we have been disappointed by the actual hotel based on the photos they advertise with but we were met with exactly the same beautifully refurbished rooms and clean pools. Great value for money. Villas not so much had a few problems with it 1 being we had 2 power trips, 8 lights out, cupboard door fell off, no hot water on the first day/night. But staff are extramely friendly and helpful and food is amzi g. Great value for mpney and great place over all.

Nice place great pools. Rooms are cosy and clean but beds in lounge are uncomfortable. Meals. Breakfast is OK evening meals are poor. Diningroom is way to small for size of complex. This is a lovely hotel with a very unusual and interesting layout. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are very good but the pool bar is too small for the hotel and the other bar doesn't open until late. The rooms are all suites, we had a junior suite with superior sea view, we are right on the seafront here and the wow what a view.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Food was plentiful and a good selection. Staff were extremely pleasant and the cleaning staff were brilliant , kept everything spotless. This hotel is based over 2 large buildings, our apartment was old but clean. Cleaning (October) everyday. We stayed on self-catering but there is all inclusive. We had dinner once (15 euros) which was good with enough choice. There are 2 largish pools also 2 kids pools, this time of year was fairly quiet so no trouble with getting sun beds, although I'm sure that wouldn't be the case in the summer...

Do not be put off by the official 2-star rating, this place is excellent. It is in a brilliant location, it has a cracking big pool with a smaller bar and restaurant area to the side. The bungalows are maybe a little tired inside but still really good, nice and clean with excellent service.

Castillo Playa Bungalows was such a gem of a find! A quiet resort with a lovely heated pool where there was never more than a few people in there. The staff were wonderful and the Bungalows were very homely and just what we needed. I appreciate quiet I'd not everyone's thing, but it suited us.

Had a fantastic holiday here in 2019. Enjoyed it so much that my friend and I booked again for May 2020, unfortunately this holiday was cancelled due to CoVid19 pandemic. Superb place to stay. We were so impressed we are back in January. Update:-we are here now and having a great time. Better than last year and that was hard to beat. Weather sitting at 21 c so great to sit in all day. Food its usual high standards and staff superb.

Only a short 10 minute drive from the airport. Apartments are very near all the local shops and restaurants. Although basic, they are definitely value for money! Easy to check in and the hotel staff were very friendly. There was little to no noise heard throughout the complex and the bedrooms were large in size. The central location is definitely a selling point,

Just stayed here 3 weeks rooms clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Food ok but a bit repetitive. Linen changed regularly.on the downside one member of staff who works in the restaurant was quite abrupt which spoilt out stay. But apart from that 8 out of 10. On the upside it was near fado rock parking was very limited but central to the resort.

Arrival was perfect, receptionist was friendly, professional and informative. All communal areas are clean and tidy. Room was a little dated but more than adequate for our needs and was spotless. All staff were friendly and helpful. The complex is in a perfect location for access to everything. Would definitely recommend and return.

Stayed in villa Florida for ten days . we loved everything about this place. The cleaner's came every day with clean towels and toilet roll. The staff in reception were all so helpful always had a smile nothing was to must trouble for them. Two life guards one really nice the other not. We had a wonderful holiday in Sept 24. The rooms were clean food good and service excellent. A special thanks to Roberto. Lia and reception manager who dealt with a small problem quickly and professionally, always with a smile.

Wow, what can I say...what a lovely hotel! Your staff are your asset...all hard working...friendly. I am not sure what the other review means how they don't speak other languages..they did! When I tried speaking Spanish they spoke English! They all deserve appreciation by the manager as it is hard to find staff committed to their customers in this day and age. Very good hotel with very helpful staff. Two nice swimming pools, that have a life guard. All inclusive is a great bargain. Interesting entertainment in the evenings. Good selection of food at breakfast, lunch and evening meal. The only improvement would be orange juice being provided at breakfast.

Basic room. You have to hire a kettle. The room is clean, but the furniture is dated and in places damaged. Around the hotel there are damaged tiles on the stairs,no hand rails. The pool area is quite large and holds a lot of beds,but the beds are dated and saggy,with no adjustment to sit up.
