Zafiro Mallorca & Spa Hotel in Can Picafort

The reviews don’t lie… it is truly amazing what these people can do. The hotel rooms are really spacious (one open space with a kitchenette + a separate bedroom). We had half board and stayed for 7 days. The breakfast was very varied, and at dinner they had themed nights – Mexican dinner, exotic dinner, etc.

About the staff… I can’t say anything bad. It really feels like they love what they are doing.

They offer plenty of activities for kids, so your child will never get bored. The beach is very close (only a 5-minute walk).

One small thing… it would have been nice if the pool (at least the kids’ pool) was heated, because in this season the sun isn’t strong enough to warm it up. But this is just a small detail and does not affect my positive opinion of my stay.

Third time at the Zafiro Majorca with my parents and two sons and it did not disappoint. Same fantastic service, food and facilities. I cannot fault anything about our stay. This time we went all inclusive (the past two times we went half board). My children thoroughly enjoyed going to get ice cream and drinks. Lunches at the pool bar were great. I'm sure we'll be back.

We had a brilliant week at this lovely hotel. Perfectly situated in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk to the beach and 25 minute walk to Alcudia Old Town. Bedrooms spacious and modern, beds very comfy and showers great. The cleaning staff keep the hotel immaculate and the reception staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is top class - fantastic waiters - amazing variety of delicious food with a huge amount of choice and beautifully presented. Excellent trips with The Challenge Mallorca, No Thrills (highly recommend the full day island tour) and Rosa Kelly. All very well organised and value for money. Pollensa and Alcudia Old Town were both lovely to visit. Bernat Nicolau provided an excellent taxi service to and from the airport at a reasonable price.

This hotel is great value for the location, and has superb facilities for adults and children. There is plenty going on for all, but also quiet areas for those who want it. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but only roughly 5 minutes walk away from the beach, restaurants, bars and shops, The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and make you feel so welcome as soon as you arrive. A lovely hotel with a family feel.

We spent 10 days in mid-September, and the weather was fantastic. It was a very enjoyable stay. This hotel is primarily for families, and there were lots of very small children, so if you’re looking for a quiet escape, you might want to consider that. Our kids are 10 and 13, but the majority of the kids at the hotel were toddlers probably because school term already stared in UK and Europe. The hotel rooms were large, clean, and well-maintained. The pool areas were great, although they’re only 1.2 metres deep and less, so they’re very children-friendly. The water was quite warm, so there were no complaints there. Getting a sunbed was never a problem, as there were plenty of them within the pool area. The food was fantastic, with themed dinners every day. We enjoyed the options very much. Evening entertainment was fantastic. There was a variety of different shows, and never a dull moment. We enjoyed the quiz every night (via KAHOOT), and it was fantastic. There’s always tennis or table tennis to play for free. The staff were generally super friendly. There was no issue anywhere if we were asking for help or advice. Everyone from the catering staff to the cleaning staff and reception was welcoming with a friendly smile. Overall, our experience was 10/10.

This was our third time at a Zafiro hotel and this is our favourite. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach and shops. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious and airy. The pools were clean and most were not too deep which suited us with children. The hotel is geared towards families. I would really recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing holiday! Beautiful hotel, very clean and green, nice big rooms, many different pool areas, fantastic food and service, super friendly staff, great entertainment. Toppers were the family foam party, aqua spinning & fit and the adult pool area. Also great job to the Dutch manager, taking all unattended towels away before 10h00. We love it, it gives people time to go breakfast without worrying to have no sunbed after. Keep up the good work !

Fantastic family focused hotel. Can't speak highly enough of the staff, whether it's the kids club, waiting and bar staff or the cleaners. The pool dome was out of action for a few days but it didn't ruin our fun round the pool (think you could get a letter to go to the zafiro down the road if you really wanted). Got really busy from the firstcweejwnd in July but they've clearly increased the staff to deal with it. And a special shout out to the aqua aerobics guy!

We recently stayed as a family of four (two adults, children aged 4 and 7) in a one-bedroom suite with a pool view at Zafiro. June, 2025. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay, but there are a few points that could be improved. Accommodation We stayed in Block 2 on the first floor with a pool view, which was ideal, quiet, scenic, and sunny. The suite was of a high standard, with a large king bed (comfortably fit all four of us), a pull-out single sofa bed, and two good sized TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living area. The air conditioning unit is located in the main living space and is vented into the bedroom; it can be a little noisy in the main area but was fine for sleeping in the bedroom. The kitchenette was suitable for preparing breakfasts and light lunches, but not really practical for dinners. There was limited cookware provided, and no condiments, dishcloths, or basic supplies, which would have been helpful. Daily cleaning (except Sundays and Wednesdays) was a nice touch and the cleanliness throughout the room was excellent. Facilities The pool area is a real highlight, spotless, safe, and perfect for younger children. The depth ranges from 70cm to 1.2m, so our 7-year-old could comfortably stand in all areas. The inflatable dome in the main pool and the pirate ship play area were particular favourites for our kids. Tiles around the pool do get very hot during the day, so footwear is a must. The indoor spa facilities were disappointing. While the pool was operational, the sauna wasn’t hot despite being “on”, having asked at reception, the steam room lacked any real heat, and the hot tub was empty. What appeared to be a plunge pool was just room temperature. It felt like a wasted trip down there. The gym was small but decently equipped. Dining & Onsite Shopping We stayed on a self-catering basis. On arrival, we were offered upgrades to breakfast, half board, or all-inclusive, but the breakfast pricing (€26 per adult, €13 per child) felt excessive. The on-site supermarket is convenient but very expensive (e.g., over €5 for a litre of milk). There are smaller shops and an Aldi within a 7–10-minute walk, which was manageable but sometimes challenging in the heat with small kids. Dining options within walking distance are mostly Mediterranean and Italian pizza-style restaurants. In our view, the food choices in Alcúdia were broader and better. Entertainment & Kids Club The hotel app lists daily entertainment, which includes aqua fit and water aerobics, these were very popular with guests. The evening schedule features a kids’ mini-disco at 8pm, followed by a family show or music, and a nightly Kahoot quiz at 10pm. While Kahoot is a fun, interactive idea, it’s used every single night and could really benefit from more variety. The kids’ club runs themed days (e.g., Pirate Day, Sports Day), which is great, but the morning sessions (typically arts and crafts followed by games) lacked variation.
