Description

AC Hotel Gijón is located in a residential area near the city center and the highway and has excellent transport links to the train station, the Universidad Laboral Technical College, the Exhibition Center, the beach, and Gijón Airport. Our hotel has 78 fully equipped guest rooms, AC Lounge, with temporary limited schedule, which features a menu based in the Asturian gastronomic tradition, meeting and events rooms that are available for functions, conferences, and all kinds of ceremonies, a well-equipped fitness room. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel so that guests can connect to the internet whenever they want.

Hotel opened in 2004.

Surprisingly disappointing for an AC Marriott. Found ants all over the bed — worse than some 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s hard to understand why no pest control has been done. After this experience, I won’t be booking AC hotels again

We used this hotel as a stopover while driving to Portugal so it was conveniently located shortly off the highway. It was clean, staff were helpful. Check in was easy. Food was good.

Serv8ce was excelent, the one exception was that air conditioner didn't work to cool the room, even hav8ng the window open.

It was a good stay. Clean rooms, basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, clean towels. Located close to the highway.
All reception staff spoke enough English to communicate with us. Will stay again if I’m in the area.
The front parking lot is free. They have a rear, gated parking lot with enough stalls and an underground lot with few stalls and 4 electric vehicles stalls. These are both €7 per night. Plenty of free street parking.

Big shout out to Elias. He welcomed me when I checked in, was able to communicate clearly in English, professional, and helpful. At checkout, he even helped me confirm my reservation at another hotel where the receptionist did not speak any English.

The hotel was great. Spacious room with super friendly staff. The dining options at the restaurant were great, and the waiter was super friendly too.
You can skip the breakfast buffet.

Hotel somewhat far from the center but with good accessibility by car and free parking outside. The cleanliness and quality of the beds stands out. The only thing I disliked was the smell, I don't know if it was air freshener...but it's like there was a trace of tobacco. Otherwise very good, quality breakfast, although the price for the night was quite high. 92 euros with breakfast, in mid-September it seems expensive to me. If I were an individual, for a tourist trip, I would look for a lower price.

Not a bad drive from downtown, the hotel was good for our one night stay. Weirdly the hotel halls were very dimly lit. Additionally our room smelled like smoke after we came back from dinner, not sure if it was from a next door room smoker but it was very irritating.

Just a very nice hotel, and for me, just for business close to the client..in a good place. Service and all people very friendly and helpfull. Had a nice steak. But same issues as with other restaurants and the hotels in Spain. The meat or chicken is still cold. Irs very hard to make this clear when ordering. And even raw.. your meat needs officially to be a min of 50? Celsius. But seems not in Spain. The rooms are perfectly. A very nice bath.. who does not want this .. prices very good. Great wines for great prices... 👍
Ps. If the cheese cake is homemade.. I do recommend to look for a real recipe 😉
