Quiet, good breakfast, very near to the centre of the old town and the beach

The Hotel lives up to it's four stars. Reception is helpful, made reservations for us. Rooms are clean, spacious with exceptionally large bathrooms. Nice climate controls and comfortable beds

from the reception till the housekeeping !!! The price for the rooms are very reasonable and worth it !!! I was amazed how happy I felt here after trying several hotels in Gijon

The location is very good, the beach is a walking distance and there is plenty of cafés and shops around us. Opposite the hotel there is a nice park with a big cage that have different types of birds

Nice hotel in a good location (approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach). Rooms are clean & today but slightly sterile. It is quiet even when the room is situated beside the lift

We stayed here for 2 days to Ser Gijon and Ovieda. The hotel is opposite a big park that leads to the football stadium and the area where they have the week end flea market on Sundays

Great location facing the sea, good communications, comfortable and good service from the staff. Totally recommended.

They need more rooms with showers. We asked if they could give us the only room with a shower, but they gave us one. We booked without breakfast because it seems too expensive at 12 euros per person per night

This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s an old converted water mill on the edge of town, with a lovely walk along the beach promenade to get to the centre

There is a park adjacent with a beautiful lake with ducks and geese - very peaceful. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. There is a car park with space for a limited number of cars

The hotel is right at the historic square, next to the old part of the city. Amazing location, excellent food options nearby or walkable, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I would definitely book here again!

The rooms are big and confortable, some even have a full size jacuzzi. Just a comment based on a mistake I made: the hotel does not have a parking. There is a public parking 8 minutes walking from the hotel

We chose to eat elsewhere for breakfast but came back for lunch at the hotel restaurant. The food and service was perfect. This is a perfect honeymoon location. We are from California USA and loved Gijon

We spent the night here and the hotel has the old charm feel. Beautiful staircase takes you up to your rooms. Lots of floor creaks but, in my opinion, adds to the charm

We also had dinner at Abba Mia, their restaurant and it was very good. The hotel is very centrally located and the famous San Lorenzo beach is 2 minutes walk from the hotel

Regarding the check-in staff, the 17th September (around 5pm) the agent did not have a good level of English, once I requested her some information about the Abbantage Card, however the check-in agent I've found the 18th September was quite professional with a profound knowledge about the Abba advantage card, being able to clarify all my questions and demands upon check-out

The swimming pool was closed, for the month of September it is rather deceiving, that's the only thumbs down of my stay

He went above and beyond and offered to pack us picnic for our flight since we would be missing the morning breakfast and he also made sure that he had hot milk waiting for us early in the morning for our coffee

We recently stayed at Abba Playa during our Spain vacation and were very happy with the customer service. Miguel and his partner(sorry didn't get his name) at front desk were extremely kind

The location of this hotel is very good, close to the sea, and you can walk to the beach. The beach in Gijón is very fine, and many people are playing on the beach

There are public parking spaces on the roadside next to the hotel, which are quite sufficient. You can see the sea from the hotel window, which is very comfortable

We attended to the New Year ‘s Eve celebration and the experience was outstanding. Food and beverage quality was excellent and hotel staff was very profesional.

Ground floor noise near the breakfast place can be annoying so watch those rooms. Location is good easy to get around. Recommend trying the restaurant downstairs for drinks too

Hotel has great underground parking, is also well located for the harbour/seafront. Modern hotel,rooms: very well presented and comfortable. We slept well the staff were excellent and we had a great breakfast

The hotel's location enables an easy walk to the railway and bus stations and there is a good supermarket adjacent to the hotel. The sandy Playa de San Lorenzo beach is adjacent to the hotel

As mentioned by others, there is no parking at all, and finding the underground parking, and paying top price for it, was a bit of a nightmere. Sadly our room was at the back and overlooked - nothing much at all

The location is fantastic to explore the old town and go to the beach. There are plenty of dinning places around and bars. I would highly recommend this property

We wanted at least a queen size bed but they had just rooms with two tiny beds. Great location among lots of places to have something to eat, beaches and things to do within a walking distance

Quite big rooms and huge bathroom. A little bit noisy but not too loud. Distance to the beach just a few minutes. Supermarket just down the street. Staff is very very nice but unfortunately doesn't speak much English

Gijón its mi natal city and i live here, its a lovely place with some cultural spots that worth the visit. I really recommend it.

In the very centre, bikers can park motorcycles in the parking 50 mt from hotel for 5€ / 24h. Hotel clean e good

We went there for dinner. The service was very good, as was the food. The only thing that stopped my rating it 5 stars was the terrible din coming from a drunken group who were supposedly watching football.

I stayed here for a couple of days between Caminos, and the single room (while small) was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It had a full bathroom, including a BATH

We had left Bilbao the previous day, and accidentally left our passports in their safe. So, these two helpful ladies helped us contact our hotel in Bilbao, and get our passports shipped to us overnight

Without ac, it was hard to sleep and it’s very noisy outside as we are right in the city centre. There are no amenities like tea/coffee or a fridge

The breakfast is ok but the bowls and cups are dirty, and still have food bits on them even though they are meant to be clean. Check in is very strange and obviously the owners trying to be economical

I showed the staff my mosquito bites and they provided me with a fan to sleep and sprayed mosquito repellent. I really appreciate this as I managed to sleep well after that

Very central location,easy walk to bars, restaurants and the old town. Parking an issue so I parked 800m away in a 5 Euro per day outdoor carpark instead of 15 Euro/day closer one recommended by the hotel

Hotel with an excellent location, next to San Lorenzo beach and the city center. Clean rooms, decent breakfast, but. Surprise! Be careful with the air conditioning if you're traveling in the middle of summer

Went to Gijon for a friend's wedding in the off season. I can see how the place would be popular in the summer season, but not much going on otherwise

Good hotel for it's price. Nice location: everything is near . Poor soundproofing, so you can hear your neighbors and the street. Keep this in mind if you have trouble sleeping. But overall I recommend the hotel

Weekend of the Avilés Athletics Championship. The treatment of the entire hotel was very friendly. Clean rooms amazing breakfast. And the nearest amazing Verdicio beach

A discovery! My partner and I went to enjoy a weekend and we have been delighted, the treatment has been unbeatable since we arrived and the room is immaculate, they have a garden with tables where you can have breakfast outdoors; we have loved the experience; We will repeat without a doubt

The place is very beautiful, everything is very well maintained, the room is impeccable and the treatment is unbeatable, very friendly and attentive to everything, the breakfast is very rich with plenty of variety and good products

They allow pets (except in the cafeteria of course) but they have a garden area with tables so you can enjoy breakfast with the furry ones on the wooden tables outside. All of 10!! We will repeat without thinking!

My partner & I were really pleased with the very friendly welcome, check-in & check-out by Maria-Luisa. We had a nice room, which was great value for money, and faced a pretty alley

This was quieter than the stay would have been if we'd been in a room facing the main square, which is bubbly and very social and where a cool beer or good food awaits

The hotel is ok and staff are somewhat friendly. The location is close to the Cathedral but I would look for other hotels in the future.

note: there isnt any physical reception after 18h, so if you srrive there make sure to ring and it will connect you with someone over the phone and they will do your checkin in a machine with a camera

it's quite small but sufficient if you sre staying for one night like it was my case and there wasnt any noise from the outside as the view is on an empty street

however the walls are very thin, so if the neighbors are nosy you are out of luck
