The Hotel lives up to it's four stars. Reception is helpful, made reservations for us. Rooms are clean, spacious with exceptionally large bathrooms. Nice climate controls and comfortable beds

from the reception till the housekeeping !!! The price for the rooms are very reasonable and worth it !!! I was amazed how happy I felt here after trying several hotels in Gijon

Lovely hotel in central position. Upgraded to a suite which was unexpected but very welcome. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Reception staff welcoming and friendly.

A historical building , magnificent interior and architecture. The place is very well maintained and very professional stuff

Great room, friendly service, parking on site. You are close to the beach but about half an hour's walk from the historic centre.

The location is very good, the beach is a walking distance and there is plenty of cafés and shops around us. Opposite the hotel there is a nice park with a big cage that have different types of birds

Nice hotel in a good location (approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach). Rooms are clean & today but slightly sterile. It is quiet even when the room is situated beside the lift

We stayed here for 2 days to Ser Gijon and Ovieda. The hotel is opposite a big park that leads to the football stadium and the area where they have the week end flea market on Sundays

It is a bit more expensive but uf tranquility might just be what you need, this is your place. Because it is a hotel, it tends to intimidate people, hence it being a quiet place

I have only been to the cafe on the ground floor. It is a quiet and spacious place. I have been a few times with my father and they have generous coffee cups

Nice and clean hotel. Size was a bit much, made me feel unforgettable. Location is good, walk for a few minutes and you are at the beach.

Good customer service, thank you for a relaxing night esp after a quiet stroll by the beachfronts

It's a nice hotel in a peaceful envirorment really close to the best city views. The restaurant covers a wide variety of the spanish gastronomy with a professional service to serve you

Come for the restaurant (see photos). Had a really good dinner tonight at its on-site restaurant. The hotel has a nostalgic feels to it

It's not a bad place but when you specify on booking or agoda a queen bed room, and that you get a room with 2 small separated beds, your girlfriend get upset for sure ! Don't know who to blame but the girl at reception was not really cooperative

I was on the 7th floor in a modernized room facing the sea. It’s interesting because the furniture was updated but the bathroom was a little older, however very very clean

The hotels location was fantastic as it is across the street from the beach and on the same street as a ton of restaurants and has a nearby grocery store

The strongest point of the hotel is it’s location. Views to the beach are amazing. Room is bright and spacious, but don’t expect anything special

The view was pretty incredible and the room, as describe before I booked, didn’t have air conditioning. I didn’t mind but I could see on hotter days this would be a problem

The only thing I didn’t like was that they only give you shower gel but they kind of make up for it with bottles of water and a fridge in your room

We have been here before renovation, and to be honest, expected more changes in the room. Service is kind of ignorant, as for 4 stars hotel. Anyway highly recommend because of panoramic windows and views

We chose to eat elsewhere for breakfast but came back for lunch at the hotel restaurant. The food and service was perfect. This is a perfect honeymoon location. We are from California USA and loved Gijon

We spent the night here and the hotel has the old charm feel. Beautiful staircase takes you up to your rooms. Lots of floor creaks but, in my opinion, adds to the charm

The building is old, but the facilities are very good, the service is kind and attentive and the overall quality is very, very good

The hotel is in the best location of Gijón, The "Plaza Mayor", in the center of the city, near many interesting historic places

This is a wonderful hotel in Oviedo in Spain. My room looked out over the sea and harbour

This is a lovely hotel right near the beach in a small seaside town. Really enjoyed my stay here even though it was short, the lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English

Building is well-located near the beaches & the downtown area. Rooms are large & well-furnished. Staff speak good English, and the restaurant has been able to accommodate my celiac friend.

The physical hotel is a good quality with an acceptable breakfast. Bed was comfortable, rooms clean, we'll locate to beach, local museums, shops, restaurants. BUT service was extremely limited

Good location as it is in the old town in Gijón, next to the beach, and friendly staff. The car parking is expensive, 17€ per day, and it is not connected to the hotel

However the very best was Carmen on the reception desk, who helped me out with a problem and was extremely kind and understanding, especially as I was there on my own

Great location, walk through the park to get to the seafront, walk along the seafront to get to the old town. I would like to highlight Alfonso Mortera for sorting out my parking fine

Nice hotel, like all the Paradores I've visited so far. Big, clean and comfortable rooms. Located at the edge of the park, a 15 minute walk to the beach. From there, another 15 minutes to the historic center

It's a Parador so expect the usual fancy amenities. About a min off Camino del Norte but it's at the beginning of Gijon instead of the center. It's next to a park and it looks very peaceful

If you book through the hotel's website, pilgrims has a special discount rate. Number of rooms available at the discount rate is limited. You must have a Credencial for the discount rate

I haven't had the chance to stay here, but I like the coffee shop. It is very relaxing to sit outside and have a drink when is sunny :)

We love the parador's, the locations, food and service. This is a good one located close but not within an urban areas

A great location,located in the heart of Old Gijon, the promenade along the beach in 5 minutes walk, loads of restaurants, cafes, cider bars, shops in the close neighbourhood

Really good location in the middle of the city centre and close by the sea. Very good, comfortable, firm bed and nice room, bathroom with the bathtub, luxurious breakfast, good wifi (once it was fixed)

Nice little hotel, I stayed there for 2 nights for the Gijon international film festival, the location is really good as it was near the 2 theaters that were playing the movies and is also near really good places to go out at night and have a beer or two

Friendly staff, clean rooms aircon that works. Comfy bed, top floor rooms have great views. Location is perfect for exploring the old town and sights. Large public car park only 5 min walk away too

The hotel (***) is well maintained, clean, the staff speaks Spanish, French, English. Breakfast is like continental one

The price was really good, will definitely stay here again

We wanted at least a queen size bed but they had just rooms with two tiny beds. Great location among lots of places to have something to eat, beaches and things to do within a walking distance

Good Hotel in an der excellent location very close to all the important places in Gijón. The place is clean and staff is friendly. There is a parking and a cafe

Clean friendly hotel in a very central area. Only problem there is no soundproofing between rooms. We had noisy neighbours which spoilt our stay.

The staff were very helpful. The location was great very close to all the eateries, harbour and beaches. The room had a radio with built in speakers in the bathroom too.

Quite big rooms and huge bathroom. A little bit noisy but not too loud. Distance to the beach just a few minutes. Supermarket just down the street. Staff is very very nice but unfortunately doesn't speak much English

Gijón its mi natal city and i live here, its a lovely place with some cultural spots that worth the visit. I really recommend it.

In the very centre, bikers can park motorcycles in the parking 50 mt from hotel for 5€ / 24h. Hotel clean e good

We went there for dinner. The service was very good, as was the food. The only thing that stopped my rating it 5 stars was the terrible din coming from a drunken group who were supposedly watching football.

Last friday 23 of december, my friends and i had drank a coffee in the Savoy club, the decor is grate, after we went shopping, we had a nice day ?

We also had dinner at Abba Mia, their restaurant and it was very good. The hotel is very centrally located and the famous San Lorenzo beach is 2 minutes walk from the hotel

Regarding the check-in staff, the 17th September (around 5pm) the agent did not have a good level of English, once I requested her some information about the Abbantage Card, however the check-in agent I've found the 18th September was quite professional with a profound knowledge about the Abba advantage card, being able to clarify all my questions and demands upon check-out

The swimming pool was closed, for the month of September it is rather deceiving, that's the only thumbs down of my stay

He went above and beyond and offered to pack us picnic for our flight since we would be missing the morning breakfast and he also made sure that he had hot milk waiting for us early in the morning for our coffee

We recently stayed at Abba Playa during our Spain vacation and were very happy with the customer service. Miguel and his partner(sorry didn't get his name) at front desk were extremely kind

Amazing experience, the room (3 persons) was quite spacious and luxurious. I was amazed to check several options of pillows available in the booklet, adapted to the customers' needs

The employees very friendly and helpful. They have a great variation of food for breakfast

Ground floor noise near the breakfast place can be annoying so watch those rooms. Location is good easy to get around. Recommend trying the restaurant downstairs for drinks too

Great location just off the waterfront, short walk to beach and coastal walkway. Delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms. The one star off is mainly for the anemic internet, as others have mentioned

In this era, it’s ok if the hotel offers a slower free internet … but it should at least be of a consistent and reliable speed, fast enough for web use at least

Lovely room, with a balcony. Coffee machine and really good toiletries. Super comfortable bed, and plenty of space. Pool area looked great, but we didn't use it. Friendly and helpful reception staff too.

It is slow, but even worse, inconsistent, seemingly dropping out frequently to unusably slow or unable to connect

We had left Bilbao the previous day, and accidentally left our passports in their safe. So, these two helpful ladies helped us contact our hotel in Bilbao, and get our passports shipped to us overnight

The location is perfect if you want to be near the beach, harbour and the shopping area. Cleanliness is perfect, the rooms are cleaned every day and towels are change regularly. The only disadvantage is the breakfast

A BATH, guys! The hotel is affordable, and centrally located. The true standout though, and the reason this was 5 stars, was because of the helpful and professional reception staff

I stayed here for a couple of days between Caminos, and the single room (while small) was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It had a full bathroom, including a BATH

We stayed at Hotel Pasaje last September and they were wonderful. I forgot the names of the two women who were so helpful, but they worked very hard to help us

Silvia in particular was an absolute delight, being overwhelmingly friendly and ever-ready to assist. It was a rare level of service, and it made my stay

I parked my motorcycle in the street no problem. Lots of restaurants nearby, lovely walks along the seafront

It's fantastically located close to old city, port and beaches (San Lorenzo is a bit further). There is almost a lack of entrance/reception with one person working there

Fantastic hotel, I will definitely stay again if I pass this way. This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good there was plenty of it

Nice hotel directly in city center, fair room rate, smoking rooms available, rooms & breakfast are Okay, city garage 1 minute to walk, parking lot for loading/ unloading in front of the hotel, very friendly service!

Pros + The rooms and bathrooms are great + Great location + 24 hour reception Cons - Ok selection of breakfast, but a bit boring since all bread is factory-packed - Only one elevator and a bit narrow corridors

My partner & I were really pleased with the very friendly welcome, check-in & check-out by Maria-Luisa. We had a nice room, which was great value for money, and faced a pretty alley

This was quieter than the stay would have been if we'd been in a room facing the main square, which is bubbly and very social and where a cool beer or good food awaits

The hotel is ok and staff are somewhat friendly. The location is close to the Cathedral but I would look for other hotels in the future.
