Gijon, Calle Fernández Vallín, 5 🧭 Map
Quiet, good breakfast, very near to the centre of the old town and the beach
Room is clean and tidy, and people are very nice to you, breakfast is good, too, etc. I will stay at this hotel next time. Thank you for your services.
A historical building , magnificent interior and architecture. The place is very well maintained and very professional stuff .... from the reception till the housekeeping !!! The price for the rooms are very reasonable and worth it !!! I was amazed how happy I felt here after trying several hotels in Gijon. It's in the center of everything !!! I would chose this hotel everything I go to Gijon.
Great location but walls a bit thin
Big and clean room and bathroom
The Hotel lives up to it's four stars. Reception is helpful, made reservations for us. Rooms are clean, spacious with exceptionally large bathrooms. Nice climate controls and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast at 10 euro. Central location adjacent to restaurants, central mercado, etc. Highly recommend.

Just stay here...stop looking! Beautiful hotel, great rooms (especially the suites!), and low, low rates! If you're an expat and are looking for a nice, comfortable, clean and modern hotel, this is it! Also, cappuccino and sandwiches until 11 on site with a fabulously friendly and helpful staff. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
We spent two nights here. The minibar was not restocked. The dirty cups were not replaced. We had to ask reception for clean mugs for our tea on the second night. Hard to believe this is a four star hotel.
Great modern hotel with spacious room, nice bathroom, shower etc. It is conveniently located right near train station (5 min walk). Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience.
More a business hotel than a tourist hotel. Rooms and bathroom are good. Staff not very friendly, not helped by a high screen and monitor at front desk. They did give us a map of city and list of restaurants. Wi-Fi very poor. Access to indoor pool was limited to 1 hour per day. Won’t return
Great hotel. Only big issue was the AC is centrally controlled and doesn’t work. The staff can only turn it on. I know this as I stayed with my colleagues and we all experienced the same issue. I spoke to the staff and they claimed they got a repair man in to fix the issue. So i had no AC at night and was very hot. I didn’t sleep well during my stay at the hotel. This is my only complaint but the fact...
Checked us into a joint room that stunk of smoke, fresh smoke. Moved our rooms for us to two nicer rooms though, which were average

Nice place with friendly staff and located nice from what ever direction you walking.
Great room, friendly service, parking on site. You are close to the beach but about half an hour's walk from the historic centre.
We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were clean l. However, the smell of the cleaning products they use is not pleasant. The shower pressure was very good. The bathroom is a good size. The room isn't very big though. The location is very good, the beach is a walking distance and there is plenty of cafés and shops around us. Opposite the hotel there is a nice park with a big cage that have different...
Nice hotel in a good location (approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach). Rooms are clean & today but slightly sterile. It is quiet even when the room is situated beside the lift. Underground parking available at 16 Euros per night. There are restaurants, cafés and supermarkets within 5-10 minutes walk.
Very nice, went on a business trip. Sea food here is not suitable for South Asians.
I have only been to the cafe on the ground floor. It is a quiet and spacious place. I have been a few times with my father and they have generous coffee cups. It is a bit more expensive but uf tranquility might just be what you need, this is your place. Because it is a hotel, it tends to intimidate people, hence it being a quiet place. If the tapa with the drink was a bit better, it would be 5 star...

We really liked the hotel. The location was great. They need more rooms with showers. We asked if they could give us the only room with a shower, but they gave us one. We booked without breakfast because it seems too expensive at 12 euros per person per night. I would put a mirror in the room. There aren't any. And there's enough wall space to put one. Otherwise, I would definitely return.
Rooms nice and clean. Similar to a premier inn. Location right on the beach. Didn’t have breakfast but located on the top floor with great views. Parking next door in a managed underground location for an additional cost but super close.
Front line sea view room with all mod cons, shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets etc behind the hotel. Lovely promenade for a walk into the old town of Gijón.
Close to the sea, convenient, overall good.
Super good location, incredible views, quiet, clean, super fast check in and check out. Very good service.
Need to change room, first room had smoking odors other than that everything else was good

This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s an old converted water mill on the edge of town, with a lovely walk along the beach promenade to get to the centre. There is a park adjacent with a beautiful lake with ducks and geese - very peaceful. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Would definitely return. There is a car park with space for a limited number of cars. If you can’t get...
We arrived on the day of the national Spanish power blackout after long journey. Reception staff excellent and briefed us on restaurant choices being restricted because of this. Also on parking. All staff throughout whether in restaurant, reception, at breakfast or in cleaning of rooms excellent. They were invariably friendly, helpful and had some English. If you book go for room with view of...
Wonderful Parador in great location for park, beach and shopping/eating/drinking. Loved Gijon.
Great old-fashioned looking hotel but with all the mod-cons. Super service in the bar from the efficient and friendly waiter.
Average parador concerning appearance but below average concerning luxury and style interior. Location and parking possibility are good.
As expected from a Parador, it was great beyond my expectations.

Lovely hotel set opposite a beautiful park.
Rustic hotel outside of the city center. It shows its age but offers a good stay regardless
Come for the restaurant (see photos). Had a really good dinner tonight at its on-site restaurant. The hotel has a nostalgic feels to it. Secure underground parking. Good customer service, thank you for a relaxing night esp after a quiet stroll by the beachfronts
It's not a bad place but when you specify on booking or agoda a queen bed room, and that you get a room with 2 small separated beds, your girlfriend get upset for sure ! Don't know who to blame but the girl at reception was not really cooperative.
Nice and clean hotel. Size was a bit much, made me feel unforgettable. Location is good, walk for a few minutes and you are at the beach.
It's a nice hotel in a peaceful envirorment really close to the best city views. The restaurant covers a wide variety of the spanish gastronomy with a professional service to serve you. A nice place for a social dinner with your working mates.

The bathroom showered were inside the jacuzzi and dangerous
great location, nice walk-able to beach and roman ruins, lots of places to eat
Really nice hotel in a perfect location near the beach and the old town. It’s a 10 minute way to the “Calle la Corrida” that it’s full of stores and restaurants. The rooms are big and confortable, some even have a full size jacuzzi. Just a comment based on a mistake I made: the hotel does not have a parking. There is a public parking 8 minutes walking from the hotel.
Rated as a 4 star hotel. Is anything but 4, maybe between 2 and 3. Very old and need of some maintenance. No shower door, no bottled water in room. Towels of very low quality, thin., place was clean. Location was its only asset.
A fairly old, basic hotel, very well located, in need of significant structural maintenance, especially bathrooms. Offers limited food service, which is offset by the multiple dining options in the surrounding area. Overall, price-quality ratio is high, perhaps only justified by its prime location.
The hotel is right at the historic square, next to the old part of the city. Amazing location, excellent food options nearby or walkable, and very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I would definitely book here again!

Amazing experience, the room (3 persons) was quite spacious and luxurious. I was amazed to check several options of pillows available in the booklet, adapted to the customers' needs. I've never read one with such pertinent and synthesized information, by far the best hotel booklet I've ever found. Upon arrival on the breakfast (18th September) I was greeted with the most amazing "Buenos dias" from...
We recently stayed at Abba Playa during our Spain vacation and were very happy with the customer service. Our front desk Manager Mr.Miguel and his partner(sorry didn't get his name) at front desk were extremely kind. We had an early morning flight and I asked him if he could provide us with some creamer for coffee. He went above and beyond and offered to pack us picnic for our flight since we would...
Excellent location across from beach, garage psrking a blessing if you travel with car. Reception, friendly, helpful.
I liked the hotel overall. Parking is definitely a bit expensive for 20 euro per day. The breakfast is great. My room had two single beds joined which I don't prefer. The room was a bit noisy when there was a storm outside. Otherwise it was comfortable.
Great treatment from our entrance at reception, Perfect cleanliness, unbeatable location, bathrooms Very beautiful marble, parking €20 per day Recommendable.
Really comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly reception. The rooftop bar has a great view, although it wasn’t clear how to order with menus being kept away. Also being told you order at the table from one person and another person saying you order at the bar was very confusing and it felt like you were more of a nuisance than a guest. However they did accept the free mojito voucher after the time...

Surprisingly disappointing for an AC Marriott. Found ants all over the bed — worse than some 3-star hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s hard to understand why no pest control has been done. After this experience, I won’t be booking AC hotels again
We used this hotel as a stopover while driving to Portugal so it was conveniently located shortly off the highway. It was clean, staff were helpful. Check in was easy. Food was good.
Serv8ce was excelent, the one exception was that air conditioner didn't work to cool the room, even hav8ng the window open.
The hotel was great. Spacious room with super friendly staff. The dining options at the restaurant were great, and the waiter was super friendly too. You can skip the breakfast buffet.
It was a good stay. Clean rooms, basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, clean towels. Located close to the highway. All reception staff spoke enough English to communicate with us. Will stay again if I’m in the area. The front parking lot is free. They have a rear, gated parking lot with enough stalls and an underground lot with few stalls and 4 electric vehicles stalls...

Good modern hotel overall, good food in restaurant , but pricey parking at 19.5 € per night spoilt the experience.
Great stay — comfortable and convenient Everything was great at NH Hotel in Gijón. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location is super convenient — easy to get around the city and close to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely come back!
The location of this hotel is very good, close to the sea, and you can walk to the beach. The beach in Gijón is very fine, and many people are playing on the beach. There are public parking spaces on the roadside next to the hotel, which are quite sufficient. You can see the sea from the hotel window, which is very comfortable.
Super dog friendly hotel. Ground floor noise near the breakfast place can be annoying so watch those rooms. Location is good easy to get around. Parking on site. Recommend trying the restaurant downstairs for drinks too.
We attended to the New Year ‘s Eve celebration and the experience was outstanding. Food and beverage quality was excellent and hotel staff was very profesional.
Hotel has great underground parking, is also well located for the harbour/seafront. Modern hotel, rooms: very well presented and comfortable. We slept well the staff were excellent and we had a great breakfast. Great location doing northern Spain.

A modern hotel on the road into Gijon. Easy parking, modern clean and comfortable rooms. A good stop over for a visit into town. Lots of shopping possibilities nearby.
Please congratulate your staff. They provided an excellent service.
Hotel La Boroña: the perfect pit stop for the practical traveler. Don't come expecting lavish luxuries or over-the-top amenities - but do come for a solid, no-frills stay that gets the job done. Well worth a stay An excellent hotel, close to the water and great bars and restaurants. The desk staff was great and very helpful. The woman at breakfast was less wonderful - unengaged in her job and not very helpful. A minor point but not a great ending to a wonderful stay.
My stay at this property was fantastic, friendly & helpful staff and the location was perfect!

Centrally located but too noisy. Rooms are kept clean but looks more than a Hostal than a hotel. Good to be there for 1-2 days.
Perfect place for a stay in Gijon. The hotel is placed in the city center nearby the beach and marina. Clean and tidy rooms. Tasty food. I recommend.

The hotel is super! The location of the hotel is excellent. If you are arriving by coach it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel. It is also around a 15 minute walk to the beach and city. Very comfortable rooms and spotlessly clean. Each room has a mini fridge, a/c and good quality bathroom amenities. The staff we met were all charming, especially the gentleman on reception, I am sorry I did...
Very large and clean room with a small balcony. Design is modern, facility is new and price is cheap. I really want to give a five star. The missing star for my review is for the insects in my room. I killed three mosquitoes and two moths during my one night stay. I guess the insects nested in bathroom drain which needs a deep cleaning, because the room is on floor 8 and most flies and mosquitoes...
Very convenient location and the room was fine - except the bathroom. Looked very swish but was all style and no substance - water went everywhere under the screen and soaked the whole place! Breakfast was ok but the best thing - hotel had a garage. €15 a day but necessary in Gijon.
This is a really great little boutique-y hotel in the very center of Gijón, Galicia (NW Spain). We booked two rooms last-minute and they were both very nice, but the junior suite, for 3 people, definitely exceeded expectations. It was large, clean, and very comfortable for 3 (or more, really), with a little balcony overlooking the town. Parking is easy at a public garage a short walk away. The garage...
Clean hotel and convenient location for my friend. I booked this for someone else. Although I didn't stay there myself, my friends who came back said it was very good. It's a pity that I can't send pictures. I will stay there next time if I have a chance.
Hotel is great. Cost benefit, location, room size are some positive aspects. If you are going by car, make sure to book the parking - a bit narrow to access but medium / big cars can make it. Staff also is super kindly and supportive.
