A historical building , magnificent interior and architecture. The place is very well maintained and very professional stuff .... from the reception till the housekeeping !!! The price for the rooms are very reasonable and worth it !!! I was amazed how happy I felt here after trying several hotels in Gijon. It's in the center of everything !!! I would chose this hotel everything I go to Gijon.

The Hotel lives up to it's four stars. Reception is helpful, made reservations for us. Rooms are clean, spacious with exceptionally large bathrooms. Nice climate controls and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast at 10 euro. Central location adjacent to restaurants, central mercado, etc. Highly recommend.

Great room, friendly service, parking on site. You are close to the beach but about half an hour's walk from the historic centre.

We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were clean l. However, the smell of the cleaning products they use is not pleasant. The shower pressure was very good. The bathroom is a good size. Nice hotel in a good location (approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach). Rooms are clean & today but slightly sterile. It is quiet even when the room is situated beside the lift. Underground parking available at 16 Euros per night. There are restaurants, cafés and supermarkets within 5-10 minutes walk.

I have only been to the cafe on the ground floor. It is a quiet and spacious place. I have been a few times with my father and they have generous coffee cups. It is a bit more expensive but uf tranquility might just be what you need, this is your place. Because it is a hotel, it tends to intimidate people, hence it being a quiet place. If the tapa with the drink was a bit better, it would be 5 star...

Nice hotel for stop overs. We stayed here for 2 days to Ser Gijon and Ovieda. Very Good food and clean. The hotel is opposite a big park that leads to the football stadium and the area where they have the week end flea market on Sundays.

Great location, in front of a little park. The hotel is clean, good breakfast, but it doesn't have the luxury of a 4-star hotel.

It's not a bad place but when you specify on booking or agoda a queen bed room, and that you get a room with 2 small separated beds, your girlfriend get upset for sure ! Don't know who to blame but the girl at reception was not really cooperative.

I was on the 7th floor in a modernized room facing the sea. It’s interesting because the furniture was updated but the bathroom was a little older, however very very clean. The strongest point of the hotel is it’s location. Views to the beach are amazing. Breakfast is good. Room is bright and spacious, but don’t expect anything special. We have been here before renovation, and to be honest, expected more changes in the room. Service is kind of ignorant, as for 4 stars hotel. Anyway highly recommend because of panoramic windows and views.

We spent the night here and the hotel has the old charm feel. Beautiful staircase takes you up to your rooms. Lots of floor creaks but, in my opinion, adds to the charm. The hotel is in the best location of Gijón, The "Plaza Mayor", in the center of the city, near many interesting historic places. The building is old, but the facilities are very good, the service is kind and attentive and the overall quality is very, very good. The breakfast is small but better than most hotels, and definitively worth the small price they charge.

It was a good stay. Clean rooms, basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, clean towels. Located close to the highway. All reception staff spoke enough English to communicate with us. Will stay again if I’m in the area. The front parking lot is free. They have a rear, gated parking lot with enough stalls and an underground lot with few stalls and 4 electric vehicles stalls...

Not a bad drive from downtown, the hotel was good for our one night stay. Weirdly the hotel halls were very dimly lit. Additionally our room smelled like smoke after we came back from dinner, not sure if it was from a next door room smoker but it was very irritating.

Just a very nice hotel, and for me, just for business close to the client..in a good place. Service and all people very friendly and helpfull. Had a nice steak. But same issues as with other restaurants and the hotels in Spain. The meat or chicken is still cold. Irs very hard to make this clear when ordering. And even raw.. your meat needs officially to be a min of 50? Celsius. But seems not...

Nice enough place, but very utilitarian! Extremely limited menu - both at breakfast and in the restaurant; plus the location isn't the best. Easily accessible, though, and Gijon isn't that big a place anyway!

Upgraded to a suite with one living room, one bedroom and two bathrooms! Amazing and helpful staff and a nice location with a Dia supermarket right beside. Came to surf and would definitely repeat!

Went there for food only with friends right after the spa. Amazing prices, Amazing staff, and the food is outstanding. Over all if could I would definitely be coming over regularly.🥂

The hotel is very nice. Dining room is beautiful as well as the surroundings being in the middle of a golf course. Rooms and shower good and very clean my only critic the windows in the rooms open just a fraction!

Very large and clean room with a small balcony. Design is modern, facility is new and price is cheap. I really want to give a five star. The missing star for my review is for the insects in my room. I killed three mosquitoes and two moths during my one night stay. I guess the insects nested in bathroom drain which needs a deep cleaning, because the room is on floor 8 and most flies and mosquitoes...

Very convenient location and the room was fine - except the bathroom. Looked very swish but was all style and no substance - water went everywhere under the screen and soaked the whole place! Breakfast was ok but the best thing - hotel had a garage. €15 a day but necessary in Gijon.

This is a really great little boutique-y hotel in the very center of Gijón, Galicia (NW Spain). We booked two rooms last-minute and they were both very nice, but the junior suite, for 3 people, definitely exceeded expectations. Hotel is great. Cost benefit, location, room size are some positive aspects. If you are going by car, make sure to book the parking - a bit narrow to access but medium / big cars can make it. Staff also is super kindly and supportive.

This hotel is so close to the main attractions yet is tucked way on a quiet street. There is a public parking garage about a block down the street. They also have their own garage that is suitable if you have a smallish car. The rooms are big by European standards. We had a wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful hotel in Oviedo in Spain. My room looked out over the sea and harbour. Lovely breakfast and room. However the very best was Carmen on the reception desk, who helped me out with a problem and was extremely kind and understanding, especially as I was there on my own. Thoroughly recommend it.

It's an ok place to stay and seems in alright condition. Location is really good with great views. However the king-size bed had only one long pillow. Ever tried to share a pillow? I guess I could have asked for another or to change it but I really don't want to have to go through stuff like that in the middle of the night. Just be aware and check at the reception if something like that bothers you

This is a lovely hotel right near the beach in a small seaside town. Really enjoyed my stay here even though it was short, the lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. Highly recommend anyone who comes to this town stays here.

I found that the bed and pillow were not very comfortable, but the room was clean. The overall decoration is quite dated and the breakfast is basic and not worth booking in my opinion. Expensive for what you get. Good location as it is in the old town in Gijón, next to the beach, and friendly staff. The car parking is expensive, 17€ per day, and it is not connected to the hotel. The physical hotel is a good quality with an acceptable breakfast. Bed was comfortable, rooms clean, we'll locate to beach, local museums, shops, restaurants. BUT service was extremely limited. Difficult to find even with GPS, little to no help finding parking. Only one person at front desk . No trolly for luggage, not helpful at all.

It's a Parador so expect the usual fancy amenities. Room is clean. There's air conditioning. About a min off Camino del Norte but it's at the beginning of Gijon instead of the center. Great location, walk through the park to get to the seafront, walk along the seafront to get to the old town. The staff a very helpful. I would like to highlight Alfonso Mortera for sorting out my parking fine. Someone prepared to put themselves out to provide an excellent service at this paradore.

Nice hotel, like all the Paradores I've visited so far. Big, clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpfull staff. Parking available. Located at the edge of the park, a 15 minute walk to the beach. From there, another 15 minutes to the historic center.

I haven't had the chance to stay here, but I like the coffee shop. It is very relaxing to sit outside and have a drink when is sunny :)

Situated in a lovely park (Parque Isabella la Catolica). Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. As usual in all parador, the shower is hot and powerful. Didn't eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast. Freshly cooked eggs and bacon, cereals, fresh oj, fresh fruit, cakes, toast jam just about all you could want for breakfast. Free parking. A great location,located in the heart of Old Gijon, the promenade along the beach in 5 minutes walk, loads of restaurants, cafes, cider bars, shops in the close neighbourhood. The hotel (***) is well maintained, clean, the staff speaks Spanish, French, English. Breakfast is like continental one.

Nice little hotel, I stayed there for 2 nights for the Gijon international film festival, the location is really good as it was near the 2 theaters that were playing the movies and is also near really good places to go out at night and have a beer or two. The price was really good, will definitely stay here again

Good price but they could paint the breakfast room it really needs a simple cleaning touch. But the rest is nice very close to the major cool hanging out places.

Can't fault it. Friendly staff, clean rooms aircon that works. Comfy bed, top floor rooms have great views. Location is perfect for exploring the old town and sights. Large public car park only 5 min walk away too. For the price one really can't complain 😊.

Good Hotel in an der excellent location very close to all the important places in Gijón. The place is clean and staff is friendly. There is a parking and a cafe. The breakfast is acceptable. I very much recommend. We had good weather and the beach was in a walking distance.

We went there for dinner. The service was very good, as was the food. The only thing that stopped my rating it 5 stars was the terrible din coming from a drunken group who were supposedly watching football.

Gijón its mi natal city and i live here, its a lovely place with some cultural spots that worth the visit. I really recommend it.

The ambience, the decor, the history of the house were fascinating. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was basic, all cold, but very good and fresh. The grounds were beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy the quiet.

Your very own mansion in this amazing space! The house holds so much history, but importantly how the rooms are updated with modern amenities for your comfort. I love the place. Great atmosphere. Very friendly personnel. I can not come up with anything to complain. Good bed, super bathroom and the breakfast is great. Great place if you have kids since the area is fenced in and the gate is locked. I recommend sincerely.

We arrived without a reservation, but the reception staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to accommodate us. They managed to find us a large, spotlessly clean room for three, all for just 50 euros. The service was exceptional, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Truly, this hotel is fantastic and offers incredible value!

One week ago i had a training in Gijon. I stayed a week in castilla hotel in centro. The price was great and the service too. The location was great because it s in centre of all commercial and touristic activities. The staff was always ready to serve and give advice. A friend of mine was in a 4 star hotel in the same location but was not satisfied as me. I hope i ll b back again and i m sure ill will...

When staying at hotel Castilla I feel like I am staying at home. The amenities are very comfortable. The staff is very kind and helpful. I would recommend this to any friend or family.

Very good accommodation pretty close to San Lorenzo beach. Rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and nice. Just 20 min walking from Plaza Mayor. Highly recommended. Breakfast is not too special but good enough.

It's a nice place to spend the night near the beach for ~80€/night. It located on a pretty crowded place but owns a private parking for clients; that's a plus. Also, you can choose between many pillows an pick for your room the one it fits best to you. It's the first time I have seen this, and I appreciated this little detail.
