Hotel Begona
Gijon, Avenida de la Costa, 44 🧭 Map
The hotel allows you, the vistor, peace and tranquility in the heart of Gijons business epicentre to explore this wonderful city. All amenities are a mere walking distance away.
Great location: 10 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins from the center. Wifi is working fine. Disadvantages - poor sleep quality: no blinds, neither AC not ventilator in the room (it was very hot and we couldn't sleep), very noisy (thin walls and horrible noise from neighbors AC from the patio), moskitos from the open window (as there's no AC). The facilities are pretty old, too. Parking is 15€ ...
The location is pretty good. Just in the center of Gijon. The bad aspect is that the hotel is really old and a bit noisy.
This hotel is located in the center of Gijón next to the bus stop and with hundreds of shops and restaurants and several parks within walking distance. The hotel itself has a nice restaurant and the rooms are full of character with many using genuine antique furniture. The staff are very friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome.

This is a wonderful hotel in Oviedo in Spain. My room looked out over the sea and harbour. Lovely breakfast and room. However the very best was Carmen on the reception desk, who helped me out with a problem and was extremely kind and understanding, especially as I was there on my own. Thoroughly recommend it.
It's an ok place to stay and seems in alright condition. Location is really good with great views. However the king-size bed had only one long pillow. Ever tried to share a pillow? I guess I could have asked for another or to change it but I really don't want to have to go through stuff like that in the middle of the night. Just be aware and check at the reception if something like that bothers you
Good location. Friendly staff who provided information throughput and pleasant to deal with, nice room plenty bathroom amenities. Plenty bars and restaurants around. Would definitely stay again.
This is a lovely hotel right near the beach in a small seaside town. Really enjoyed my stay here even though it was short, the lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. Highly recommend anyone who comes to this town stays here.
I found that the bed and pillow were not very comfortable, but the room was clean. The overall decoration is quite dated and the breakfast is basic and not worth booking in my opinion. Expensive for what you get. Good location as it is in the old town in Gijón, next to the beach, and friendly staff. The car parking is expensive, 17€ per day, and it is not connected to the hotel. There are tons of hotels...
The physical hotel is a good quality with an acceptable breakfast. Bed was comfortable, rooms clean, we'll locate to beach, local museums, shops, restaurants. BUT service was extremely limited. Difficult to find even with GPS, little to no help finding parking. Only one person at front desk . No trolly for luggage, not helpful at all.

The room was small but very comfortable and clean. The location was excellent!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again if I visit the area again
Really good location in the middle of the city centre and close by the sea. Hotel has a theme, very cool. Very good, comfortable, firm bed and nice room, bathroom with the bathtub, luxurious breakfast, good wifi (once it was fixed)
A great location, located in the heart of Old Gijon, the promenade along the beach in 5 minutes walk, loads of restaurants, cafes, cider bars, shops in the close neighbourhood. The hotel (***) is well maintained, clean, the staff speaks Spanish, French, English. Breakfast is like continental one.
Nice little hotel, I stayed there for 2 nights for the Gijon international film festival, the location is really good as it was near the 2 theaters that were playing the movies and is also near really good places to go out at night and have a beer or two. The price was really good, will definitely stay here again
Good price but they could paint the breakfast room it really needs a simple cleaning touch. But the rest is nice very close to the major cool hanging out places.
Can't fault it. Friendly staff, clean rooms aircon that works. Comfy bed, top floor rooms have great views. Location is perfect for exploring the old town and sights. Large public car park only 5 min walk away too. For the price one really can't complain 😊.

Clean rooms. Far from the beach but there is a bus line very close to the hotel. Super friendly staff. The only drawback is the food. We didn't know what we were going to eat until we were sitting at the table and the food was being served. Only two waitresses for a whole room of people..... That is if the two are super friendly and affectionate.

The staff were very helpful. The location was great very close to all the eateries, harbour and beaches. The room had a radio with built in speakers in the bathroom too.
Good basic hotel, fairly central. No parking, but there is a parking garage around the corner which had decent sized spaces.
In the very centre, bikers can park motorcycles in the parking 50 mt from hotel for 5€ / 24h. Hotel clean e good
We went there for dinner. The service was very good, as was the food. The only thing that stopped my rating it 5 stars was the terrible din coming from a drunken group who were supposedly watching football.
Last friday 23 of december, my friends and i had drank a coffee in the Savoy club, the decor is grate, after we went shopping, we had a nice day ?
Gijón its mi natal city and i live here, its a lovely place with some cultural spots that worth the visit. I really recommend it.

The ambience, the decor, the history of the house were fascinating. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was basic, all cold, but very good and fresh. The grounds were beautiful with lots of places to sit and enjoy the quiet.
Absolutely outstanding! Great atmosphere, So much care about the guests. Must stay place. We were eager to stay longer although not planned )
Can not recommend this place enough. Beautiful hotel with stunning decor and the staff is so friendly. The restaurants in the surrounding areas are very good and within walking distance. Super!
Your very own mansion in this amazing space! The house holds so much history, but importantly how the rooms are updated with modern amenities for your comfort. We had a short stay but also one of the best. Beautiful, cosy and paired with excellent service. Super peaceful sorrounding. Perfect for those looking a more quiet and slow spot outside a Gijon.
I love the place. Great atmosphere. Very friendly personnel. I can not come up with anything to complain. Good bed, super bathroom and the breakfast is great. Great place if you have kids since the area is fenced in and the gate is locked. I recommend sincerely.

Clean friendly hotel in a very central area. Only problem there is no soundproofing between rooms. We had noisy neighbours which spoilt our stay.
Good Hotel in an der excellent location very close to all the important places in Gijón. The place is clean and staff is friendly. There is a parking and a cafe. The breakfast is acceptable. I very much recommend. We had good weather and the beach was in a walking distance.
Good customer service and friendly staff. Breakfast included although I would include more variety of fruit, there's only some fruit salad to choose. Room ok. We wanted at least a queen size bed but they had just rooms with two tiny beds. Great location among lots of places to have something to eat, beaches and things to do within a walking distance.
Very good price for the value. Very central location, great breakfast and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious and also nice designed.

A very good service, And it is very clean and the viewers are Great! And very comfortable bed and a lot of space in room. And stuff I general are very helpful and friendly. 😊
I stayed here for a couple of days between Caminos, and the single room (while small) was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It had a full bathroom, including a BATH. A BATH, guys! The hotel is affordable, and centrally located. The true standout though, and the reason this was 5 stars, was because of the helpful and professional reception staff. Silvia in particular was an absolute delight, being...
The treatment by the staff has been great. The only drawbacks that would be the heat in the room, the noise heard from the street and other rooms, and the brightness that comes between the curtains. If you don't like clarity, you need a mask yes or yes
We stayed at Hotel Pasaje last September and they were wonderful. I forgot the names of the two women who were so helpful, but they worked very hard to help us. We had left Bilbao the previous day, and accidentally left our passports in their safe. So, these two helpful ladies helped us contact our hotel in Bilbao, and get our passports shipped to us overnight. 5 STARS for their efforts.
The location is perfect if you want to be near the beach, harbour and the shopping area. Cleanliness is perfect, the rooms are cleaned every day and towels are change regularly. The only disadvantage is the breakfast. It is very small: be ready to have a glass of Juice, a cup of cofffe and croissan. No jam or butter, nothing..

Check in was very easy. Room was very comfortable, beds twin were wonderfull, shower was fab. This hotel was great for us staying in Gijon for 4 days. Although we originally walked from the Feve/Renfe station which took 25 minutes, the hotel is situated in a semi commercial area , we then took the bus there and back into town. We also discovered that there was a Feve station about 5 minutes walk away...
Very modern and clean hotel with a tasty breakfast. Made last minute reservations and called to discuss late arrival after 1am. The clerk explained everything clearly and even sent the simple instructions to us on WhatsApp. Great service and price.

Very central location, close to the Gijon historic city centre and waterfront. The room for two was tidy and had sufficient storage although it was a bit small. The bathroom lacked pegs to dry your towel. It is nearly impossible to park nearby for free, but the hotel offered discounts on whole-day parking in a nearby Parkia garage, we saved ourselves so much time and hassle.
Very well located hotel, close to the old neighborhood and the "sidrerias area". Very convenient if you are you going to stay a couple of the days, and you want to be in the centre of the city. About service they are super friendly
It's fantastically located close to old city, port and beaches (San Lorenzo is a bit further). There is almost a lack of entrance/reception with one person working there. Although the reception isn't the best presentation of the hotel, the rooms are clean and modern (kind of small). The worst is the painfully slow lift, a challenge to patience so if you can chose, get a room in lower floors. Hotels...
Nice hotel directly in city center, fair room rate, smoking rooms available, rooms & breakfast are Okay, city garage 1 minute to walk, parking lot for loading/ unloading in front of the hotel, very friendly service!

Fantastic and such friendly customer service! They helped me endlessly with printing of s document, had s beautiful and modern interior and absolutely wonderful people working the front desk and bar. Super helpful and kind!
Very good accommodation pretty close to San Lorenzo beach. Rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and nice. Just 20 min walking from Plaza Mayor. Highly recommended. Breakfast is not too special but good enough.
It's a nice place to spend the night near the beach for ~80€/night. It located on a pretty crowded place but owns a private parking for clients; that's a plus. Also, you can choose between many pillows an pick for your room the one it fits best to you. It's the first time I have seen this, and I appreciated this little detail.

He have been only in the cafeteria of the hotel, not int the hotel itself, but it was absolutely perfect. Good food, very kind waiters, fair prices and amazing views. I really recommend it. ;)
Very unique hotel. The views are stunning. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff are accommodating.
Not cheap but a fantastic unique place with an incredible view, a super friendly staff, very clean and a great smell in the whole hotel. Great cafe next door!
Great location to have a drink with amazing views. Prices are okay and the staff is friendly. A must if you wanna enjoy one of the best views in Gijón.
Superb location. One of the most spectacular spots in Gijon. Small friendly hotel. Very comfortable bed, lots of hot water and nice little restaurant attached were we enjoyed a Martini or two most afternoons.
The staff was amazing and the views spetacular. Breakfast was good, not great, because they served only cold dishes. Nevertheless, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee prepared in front of you top high in my breakfast priorities. They need to do something about the sound isolation and the matresses though. Would definitely come back.

Rural house in a privileged location, with a view towards Gijón and in a quiet and easily accessible area with parking at the door. Just 10 minutes from Gijón. The room is very spacious, we have never been in such a large room, everything clean, large television, large bathroom. The super complete breakfast for two people included 6 pieces of toast, plenty of butter, 3 types of homemade jams, coffee...
Very quiet rural hotel, on the outskirts of Gijón, located on hills with beautiful views of the mountains and the city, with the sea in the background. Very good room and very good breakfasts. Excellent attention. Pets welcome. Highly recommended.
This hotel is a luxury, Teresa the owner, makes you feel at home. If it could be given six stars, it definitely deserves it.
Rural hotel in its entirety. Don't worry. Broad. Careful. Next to everything in Gijón. Home. And 3 public golf courses next door. You can not ask for more.
It gives me great joy to read the reviews of this hotel-restaurant and to see that Mrs. Teresa is still in charge. We were there 14 years ago and we still remember the incredible breakfasts and the magnificent treatment that made us feel at home. Congratulations!!!
We are delighted with our stay! A super cozy rural hotel thanks to the owner, Teresa, who makes you feel at home due to her kindness and closeness. The location is perfect for getting to know Gijón and its surroundings (Tazones, Lastres, etc.) We will definitely see Tere again, thank you very much for everything!
