Hotel Gran Ultonia

We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at the 3 star part of this hotel. I checked in online in advance of arrival and all went smoothly. The main entrance of the hotel is currently under development, so there is a compact, temporary entrance on a side street which is no issue. We were in room 702, it is basic, the decor is dated but it is sizeable, clean, and has an adequate shower (with a head that would not stay in the desired position) and the room and towels can be serviced daily if you wish. The location is a 2 minute walk from Plaça de la Independència, where there plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment, we were told it was €16 per person per day. There is a nice outdoor bar on level 5, although the majority of the views are not worth looking at. We had one occasion to ask the reception staff for help regarding bus timings from the bus station to the airport, but they were unable/ unwilling to help us, referring me to Google it 🤷‍♂️

Good hotel, close to city center....walking distance..private parking lots...perfect hotel for those who have their bikes with them. Nice breakfast and a nice roofbar

Located in the city center, the environment is good, there are all kinds of restaurants just outside, the room is large and the breakfast is also good.

Just on the edge of the town centre is this lovely hotel. If you are a cyclist you will find you have a really secure and well equipped bike garage, great breakfast options and rooms with really good showers. The staff are super friendly and helpful, It is well located being just a short stroll from the centre yet it is quick and easy to get out into the countryside for some awesome biking.

Good hotel, old. But comfortable

Lovely hotel, great staff and good location for exploring Girona, which is a wonderful place. The room was lovely, a good size with very comfortable beds and perfect pillows. The shower was amazing - powerful overhead rain shower. Staff friendly and helpful and underground parking was a convenient bonus. Relaxing and chilled rooftop bar with a good choice of cocktails.

Fantastic location, the rooms are basic but fine, could do with tea and coffee making kit, all the bars and restaurants are just a very short walk away. Also the rooftop cocktail bar is a very nice treat.
