Hotel Nord 1901

This wonderful hotel was exactly what we needed. Extremely comfortable bed, super helpful staff, pretty outdoor space & lovely pool to dip in. The location is central, just around the corner from good restaurants, bars & beautiful shops. Just a few steps from the red Eiffel Bridge. We treated ourselves to a suite with views over the pool & a very spacious room & full bathroom. A superb stay here in lovely Girona. Highly recommended

I stayed at the Nord1901 in April 2025 for a long-awaited cycling trip, but due to an acute lower back injury, I had to head back home after just a couple of days of my planned 3-week stay. I can't say enough about how very helpful the front desk staff were in accommodating my special needs and in helping to arrange a local clinic visit. My room was excellent, and the cleaning staff made certain it remained that way during my stay. The morning breakfast was also welcome and delicious. I look forward to returning to Girona and a future stay at the Nord after I have fully healed from my injury. Highly recommended.

A smart hotel with excellent service and a good breakfast. Could have been 5 star but for technical glitches in my room.TV package has no international news channels,the weighing scales didn't work,the shower head kept falling down,the wc was hard to stop being on continuous flush.There are some reports of a sauna but this in fact at the next door gym which is closed Saturday afternoon and all Sunday.

We had a suite surprisingly! Real luxury. A very small family run hotel with real class. The interior decor is exceptionally stylish but with emphasis on comfort too. Excellent location a few yards from bridge into the old town. Within walking distance of station even with cases.

Me and my friend stayed here in August 24 for a 40th birthday trip and were not disappointed. We booked a superior room with a street view, which I would recommend Vs the internal rooms. We were on the first floor and the street noise was minimal and not a problem. Room was spacious, bed and bathroom were a good size (no issue with smells other reviewers seem to have suffered). Reception and other staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool is a great plus, it was brilliant to be able to come back take a cool dip, have a drink and then head out again especially in the August heat. Location is fantastic, there's an excellent coffee shop literally right next door too.

Absolutely lovely hotel in beautiful Girona. Room was really nice, bed comfortable, great selection of premium toiletries, staff were so welcoming and breakfast was delicious. Decor was really relaxing, hotel was spotless and really calm and chilled out. Lovely pool area outside - again, quiet and calm and very restful. Highly recommend.

The location of this hotel is perfect, very close to the "Red Eiffel Bridge" and so many other great spots. Parking is offsite, but Sophia at the front desk was so helpful and showed us how to get there - it was very close and easy to use. The hotel is modern and clean, the pool area is nice and I'm sure would be lovely at the end of a hot day exploring the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was great. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone's stay in Girona.

The hotel is well located and our room (on fourth floor, street side) was spacious and comfortable, although decor a little tired/dated. Downside was bad smell coming from bathroom (seemed to come from shower drain), as some others have commented. Realise it's an old building but really was quite strong! Otherwise OK, more like a business hotel than boutique and not sure quite up to the four-star tag (also noticed things like some tiles missing from pool etc). Didn't eat there as so many fab options in Girona - it's a great city!

A dependable three star hotel in the heart of Girona. The reception was very friendly, we had the pleasure of interacting with several staff members and they were all very helpful. The hotel can arrange private underground parking for you (50 meters away), do email them in advance and reserve a parking spot. The rooms are quite big, and the cleaning staff do a thorough job everyday. The decor can be a little tired in some places, but given the rate they charge it's acceptable. The only downside is that the pool was very small (only for dipping) and the water inside was quite murky during this summer. However it was very cold and quite refreshing when it was 38C outside in the summer! Walkable to all top sights in Girona. There is no need to take breakfast in the hotel, as there are several top cafes 5 minutes walk away. Make sure you take the time to try all the wonderful restaurants in Girona!
