Mix Smart Hotel in L'Arenal

Absolutely vile – avoid at all costs.
This was hands-down the filthiest hotel I’ve ever encountered. I didn’t know it was even possible for a place to be this disgusting.

From the moment we checked in, things were off — sketchy reception, zero professionalism, and then we were handed keys to a room that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Stained sheets, hair on the bed, dirt all over the floor, random trash on the patio, and a toilet that looked like someone had just used it.

We complained and were moved — only to walk into another visibly dirty room. Same story: filthy floors, grimy shower, disgusting toilet, stained bedding, and a filthy patio. No exaggeration.

The reception lied to our faces, saying a manager would be available in the morning. Surprise: “It’s Sunday, no manager today.” Total joke.

Breakfast? A health hazard. The “clean” cutlery looked used. The same woman running the kitchen was also the only cleaner for the entire hotel — and she had the audacity to bang on our door for cleaning. Obnoxious and rude.

Oh, and the noise. We could hear every word from rooms down the hall at 3 AM. Zero soundproofing.

We ended up ditching this dump and booking another hotel. No regrets. Even the other guests were filthy — which honestly says it all.

Do yourself a favour. Don’t even think about booking this place.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. I am leaving this review to warn others not to book this hotel. I would give this hotel zero stars if I could.

This was the most disgusting, filthy, unprofessional hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life of travelling. My fiance and I paid for a 3 night stay at Hotel Mix Smart, but we left after the first night due to the filthiness of this hotel (knowing we would not even get our money back - that’s how bad this place was). There was a fly in the room, the bed sheets were stained (one stain seemed like blood) and smelled like body odour, the floor had dirty items all over, the shower was disgusting and there was only one bottle of soap with nothing else, the walls were disgusting and this place gave me an insane amount of anxiety such that I could not sleep through the entire night. Please, if you are visiting Mallorca, there are much better other places to visit - we rebooked at Hotel Can Cirera, and it was such a more pleasant experience.

We even tried asking the owners for some credit / refund as we had lost out on a lot of money, but the owners of Hotel Mix Smart said no.

I will never visit Hotel Mix Smart ever again, and I highly suggest anyone to stay away. There were more issues we had experienced, but it’s too much to type.

I stayed at Mix Smart Hotel for a short visit, and while I appreciated the convenient location and the affordable price, there were a few things that made the experience less comfortable than I’d hoped.
The room was very basic, which I expected, but the bed sheets had a few stains that made me a bit uneasy. I’m sure they had been washed, but a fresher appearance would have helped me feel more at ease.
The hotel can be quite noisy — I could hear guests in the hallway and upstairs during the night, which made it hard to get proper rest. I understand that it’s a lively area, but some soundproofing would make a big difference.
I also wasn’t given any information about breakfast. I wasn’t sure if it was included or where to go, so I ended up skipping it entirely. A small welcome note or a word at check-in would’ve been helpful.
The staff were polite, just not very present or warm. I imagine they’re managing a lot, but even a little more communication would have made things feel more welcoming.
All in all, it’s a decent option if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and don’t mind a very minimalist setup. With a few small improvements in cleanliness, noise, and guest information, the experience could be much better.
