One of the best basic hotels I've ever stayed in! Rooms are spacious, comfortable, affordable. Staff is helpful and attentive. Location is convenient for city access, sightseeing, the Viking ferry services. And the morning sauna facilities...quite invigorating :) I'll definitely be staying here again!

The location is well connected to a tram line which easily takes you into the centre. In-house sauna is a great bonus for a very well priced hostel. Both private room and shared bathroom were standard but clean and very usable.

I stayed for 1 night in a single room with breakfast. One of the best hostels I have ever been to. It's 3 min walk from Viking Line ferry terminal, 10-15 min from Uspenski Cathedral and Food Market. Staff at the reception was really outgoing and ready to assist in any way needed. Rooms are clean and basic, with enough space to cover your needs. There is cozy bar within where you can stay until midnight and enjoy some drinks.

Rightly named 'Eurohostel' so it's more like a hostel accommodation where tourists needing immediate and serviceable abode could lodge. A 5-story structure, I believe, it's a decent place but not appropriate for a family or group of more than 2 persons. There's a decent restaurant that opens at 5 pm local time. There's also a kitchen where you can make your meals. It has 2 shared restroom facilities - male and female; well kept. I love the location, though - right in the heart of town, close to the ports, with easy access to trams, a tourist bus park, K-Mart, etc. About 25 minutes drive from the Helsinki airport

The hotel is pretty old but it is well maintained and the facilities are good enough. Staff were nice and helpful.

Room and shared facilities are clean enough, but I think it could be better.

Unfortunately, the shared facilities like kitchen and bathroom are very limited given the number of rooms. There are only two toilets and three showers on each floor. It’s too long to wait when all of them were occupied.

OK, the location was ideal for us. We came in on the ferry from Tallinn and walked to the hostel, very close to the port. It is also close to the downtown area, easy to get around, nicely located. We stayed 3 nights and trained to the airport from the hotel --- it worked for us.

The laundry was appreciated, but did not work well, dryer not available so we hung our clothes. We were there 3 nights, so it was OK.

There is no air conditioning, and the rooms were hot. We were on the 4th floor and I did not sleep that well. The staff was excellent, very polite and informative.

Where I to return, I might look for a different place.

This is a superb hostel suitable for people of all ages. Very friendly and well run. Everything was clean at all times, and so much better than expected. Open 24h, no tricky 'after hours' check in methods. Quiet bar and restaurant on site. The tram stops right behind the hostel. Viking line ferry leaves just down the road. There's a 3 min walk to a 24h supermarket (a real supermarket, not a convenience store)...and the bird songs in the common toilets, was so cool.

Well, a weird place to be honest. Looks like and feels like a former industrial building.
What was good:
+ price
+ location
+ spacious room
+ clean bathroom and toilet
+ 24 hours check-in
+ reservation online

What we didn’t like:
- kitchen was unavailable at night, just nonsense!
We had a long flight hoping that we could have some rest and eat something (heat our food at least, according to our timezone it was just 8 p.m. and we were hungry) but no, the kitchen is closed. In vending machines we could only buy chocolate bars, seriously? We also couldn’t put into the refrigerator our food… ridiculous! I asked the receptionist, but she refused to open the kitchen to put our food into the fridge.
- terrible smell on our floor (like we are in a dog’s kennel)
- trams just behind the window, they start early and they are so noisy!
- filling papers at the desk at night (I have never met hostels with such level of bureaucracy)

I’m not sure if we stay here again.

Easy and very close to the ferry. The walls were very thin, so sleeping past 7 am was difficult because of people’s alarms going off and doors being opened and closed. The rooms are quite sparse and the bedding was worn and rough to the touch. The common rooms had no games or anything other than seating. Overall, a convenient place to sleep, which is what you book for.

The hostel is really well situated and at a reasonable price for Helsinki.
The room and bathroom were clean.
The hostel was quiet.
The desk is open early in the morning to late at night.
A sauna is available for free in the morning but I haven’t had time to use it.
Nice place to stay over!
