Helsinki, Haapanieminkatu 7-9B floor 9 🧭 Map
Good clean facility in general, however, I hope they paid more attention to deep cleaning inside the rooms. Sound isolation is not good too. I had a bed without sheet and broken leg!!🙃
Great location to stay! Rooms cleaned, well-looking, views are just amazing as the hotel is located on 9th floor. Prices are also good. Staff is nice and helpful.
Excellent customer service. Due to the world problems had to delay my trip, they were very understanding and let me adjust my reservation to a later date. Very friendly staff! Awesome place!
Great accessibility to the city and great prices for people who travel a lot! The beds are super comfy and the rooms are clean. The hotel is on the 9th floor which means the views from the rooms are amazing, at least from the one where we were. We very much enjoyed the stay here with my friends and I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you!!!
I definitely recommend this place! I was looking for an affordable room for a couple of nights, while I settled into a permanent apartment. The room and common area was very clean and the view out of my window looked really cool. Great location - I was able to visit the Market Square for lunch. In addition to the room quality the owner was very nice - he gave me a ride and helped move my suitcases...
Hakaniemi shopping hall and Tokoi beach can be seen from the window. Shopping center Redi and Korkeasaari within walking distance. A clean room, own kettle and fridge is a big plus. Clean shared toilet and shower facilities. Friendly service, uncomplicated and effortless.

The Yard Hostel is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The hostel is located in very close proximity to the central train station and the public airport bus. Furthermore, he beds are great and include privacy curtains, hooks to hang stuff up and outlets. The Yard also has a common kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, and showers. However, they don’t have anyone on staff to address guests...
The location is great and the cleanliness is very good. Unfortunately the hotel is quite unsocial and boring. The way the hostel is run also marrs the atmosphere. The cleaning staff mans the reception, but it doesn’t really seem like you’re supposed to talk to them and mostly they are not at the desk anyway. Also there are multiple threats of fines in the communication if you lose your key etc etc
My two nights stay at The Yard Hostel were pleasant! Rather cozy and spacious common areas inside the hostel. Nice and friendly atmosphere among the staff and guests. The bunks had curtains and were quite spacious. I stayed at two different dorm rooms and the first one lacked a window to open, so the air felt very stuck and not fresh. Location in Kamppi was great and even though it was rather busy...
A very good place to stay few days in Helsinki ! The chambers are pleasants, the common room is also great and all the Yard Hostel lovingly looked.
Super clean. Super easy to check in and out. I only had one dorm mate and he was very cool. It was in a neat part of town. I would definitely stay here again.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in! It was very well-organized and clean. The room was big, the bed was comfy, and I appreciated that each bed had its own curtain, providing privacy. The common room was spacious and charming, and the inclusion of a kitchen was an added bonus. Another plus point is its location—right in the heart of the city

OK, the location was ideal for us. We came in on the ferry from Tallinn and walked to the hostel, very close to the port. It is also close to the downtown area, easy to get around, nicely located. We stayed 3 nights and trained to the airport from the hotel --- it worked for us. The laundry was appreciated, but did not work well, dryer not available so we hung our clothes. We were there 3 nights,...
This is a superb hostel suitable for people of all ages. Very friendly and well run. Everything was clean at all times, and so much better than expected. Open 24h, no tricky 'after hours' check in methods. Quiet bar and restaurant on site. The tram stops right behind the hostel. Viking line ferry leaves just down the road. There's a 3 min walk to a 24h supermarket (a real supermarket, not a convenience...
Well, a weird place to be honest. Looks like and feels like a former industrial building. What was good: + price + location + spacious room + clean bathroom and toilet + 24 hours check-in + reservation online What we didn’t like: - kitchen was unavailable at night, just nonsense! We had a long flight hoping that we could have some rest and eat something (heat our food at least, according to our timezone...
Easy and very close to the ferry. The walls were very thin, so sleeping past 7 am was difficult because of people’s alarms going off and doors being opened and closed. The rooms are quite sparse and the bedding was worn and rough to the touch. The common rooms had no games or anything other than seating. Overall, a convenient place to sleep, which is what you book for.
The hostel is really well situated and at a reasonable price for Helsinki. The room and bathroom were clean. The hostel was quiet. The desk is open early in the morning to late at night. A sauna is available for free in the morning but I haven’t had time to use it. Nice place to stay over!
Be avare: if you are going to use fridge, you should buy a key €10, otherwise your food will be thrown away. If you leave something at the kitchen, it will be thrown away as well.

A travelers dream. CheapSleep is not only cheap, but it’s also quality. Everything you could want in a Hostel is here in CheapSleep. Solo, groups, families… all are found in CheapSleep. Ample showers and toilets, common areas and space in the rooms. Very clean too. Free luggage storage, bar area , kitchens even an arcade and foosball table . Close by are bars and restaurants. The tram and bus stops...
It's quite far from the city centre, but public transport is good. The rooms are quite cramped and the bathroom was often completely wet and not very inviting, although always clean. On the upside the breakfast isn't bad, the staff is nice and the community rooms are good. Also washing is 8€, but works very well. Honestly, it's great value for money, but if you have the money I'd probably spend a few...
The hostel was really good ! Staff were so friendly, everywhere was clean. There are walls between the beds so you have a private zone - a little bit-. Location is not bad , i mean if you want to stay really close to central not a best option for you. But 3 km is nothing, while you re walking to the hostel you have also chance to see some important things about the city. Just 2 mins by walking to the...
Clean, inexpensive hostel. Decent-sized lockers in each room, which use your keycard to un/lock. Plenty of events for residents, though I didn't personally take part.
Clean & neat room, friendly staff. Common areas such as kitchen & bathroom are well equipped. Safe for solo traveller.
Travelling around the world for 5months now. Best hostel so far. Everything was perfect. Room has an automated locker. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and families.

Good place to stay in the city, not so far from the city center. Big, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and good prices. I recommend it.
Very reasonable prices for a single room, which is actually a studio with a kitchen with sink, fridge, stove and oven, plus the ensuite bathroom, something that you not always will find in a hostel. They could do housekeeping in shorter periods of time but nothing that really bothered me. All in all, good value for money.
Very basic but reasonably clean and spacious hostel room. It had a kitchenette (the kitchen utensils were provided in the common area where every guest could pick them up from and return after use) and a wet room type of bathroom. Towels were provided but there was no shower gel or soap. The reception was open 24 hours, I believe, the staff was friendly and efficient. Some toiletries and snacks were...
A great Hostel! I stayed here while doing a study abroad for 3 weeks in Finland. It is generally clean and has a sauna available for those staying here. The toughest part is that the rooms that face Hietaniemenkatu (in building D) face a bar, which gets very wild at night. If you are a light sleeper request a different building.

I've been to about 20 hostels this year and the service at Diana Park was probably the friendliest and most enthusiastic I've ever experienced. The building is grand and the facilities and cleanliness are both above average. It's located near bars, restaurants, transport, and the city centre, too.
Personnel very friendly and helpful. Reception 24h. Great location. Our room was a bit chilly in my opinion, but it wasn't cold by any means. It was also clean and included everything you might need, especially for a short stay. Bathrooms also clean and spacious, two of them on one floor. Common room offered coffee/tea, some ready packaged foods, fridge etc. Very cozy feeling. Overall we had a very...
I highly recommend this hostel. It was great pleasure to stay there. Staff was so sweet and friendly. They kept everything clean. 6-beds room was quite fine. It was very nice and clean bedding. They also provide a key and a lock for 10€ for a storage box, which you can get back if you return key and lock. The location of the hostel is another advantage. 10 minutes to the Central train station...
Very nice place for staying, sockets are close to the beds, private boxes available for deposits, towels are given, clean and cozy. But bathroom is on the floor, to use it you need wait in the queue for some time, especially in the morning.
I got a bed in a 3 share female dorm in May 2022. Ventilation is via a window and hopefully your roommates allow you to open the window else room can be quite stuffy. There is 1 toilet, 1 shower and 2 toilet-with-showers. Kitchen has all the usual facilities. Very convenient. Recommended.
Youth hostel in the heart of Helsinki. It has a lot of charm and is situated in a nice location. Best choice of youth hostel in Helsinki.

Hostel Suomenlinna
Helsinki, Suomenlinna C 9 🧭 Map
Clean and relaxed hostel on the fortress island of Suomenlinna. Amenities for children (baby crib, highchair and chest of toys) are available. The hostel is housed in an old redbrick building that used to serve as an elementary school. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again!
The hostel is located on an island but is easily accessible from the mainland by ferries that operate at an interval of at most 40 minutes. The hostel building was actually an early military barrack and has the old charm from outside but once you are inside, it is a nice modern hostel with most facilities. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. The staffs were helpful and helped me a lot in planning...
Calm and affordable place to stay near the city centre, located in the Suomenlinna sea fortress. The short distance to the ferry makes it easy to reach. Maybe not perfect to go out in the centre for a long night as the last ferry is at 2.20 to the island but this is better for a quiet and historical retreat for the evening and enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the Helsinki archipelago.
Great hostel, clean and tidy, super close to the ferry stop.
Beds are fine, showers are nice and warm, when i came in the winter the place was empty. You have to pretty much cater for yourself, there’s no real food options aside from a €7 breakfast, but it’s a perfectly fine place to stay if you’re back packing and is in a really unique location.
Perfectly nice hostel. The ferry runs frequently and only a couple of hours during the night it does not run. The staff is nice and so is the Island. One point of criticism are that the showers/bathrooms are kind of small, but still manageable I suppose.

Not convenient location. Very calm area. You may feel scared if you go at night. Recommendable to go in daytime at first to know the place. Very homelike hostel with a friendly cat.

Staffs are friendly and very helpful. The front desk girl was super nice. The kitchen is big, and has kitchen utensils. But I don't have the chance to use. The pizza downstairs is so good.
Not a party hostel,Female dorm is cute. Quite and comfortable hostel. people are friendly. Bed is comfortable. For a hostel, cleaning condition is good. Location is convenient, metro, tram stops are nearby.
Stayed for two night in the all girls room, was a little hot at night here in the summer but was perfect temperature with the window cracked. Checked in late at night and the process was super smooth, locker is quite large and could easily fit a regular sized backpack. Everything is done using a key card you get when you check in which made entering the room and using the locker super simple! Would...
Location is very good. Center of the city was easily accessible by walking. Common area was excelent. A lot of space to spend time. Electronical key was cool and easy to use. It was cool that there was option to leave baggage in hostel and collect it later. I had late flight and it was easier to continue experience the city without baggage. There are only two showers. The hostel was not full, but...
The rooms and toilets were clean. The hostel and the location of the hostel were safe. So, I would recommend this hostel to solo female travelers. There is a tram stop just next to the hostel, so you can go to the city center easily in approximately 15 minutes. Also, there is a 24-hour open supermarket very near to the hostel.
Perfect location, rooms are tidy, toilet is clean, service is great, the kitchen is well equipped. Remember to bring a towel ,or you can rent one from reception
