Very good hotel in centrer of Helsinki, 4 minutes walk to central station. Rooms spacious and brand new. Various food were provided during breakfast. Lots of vegan and sustainable foods
Interesting place clearly updated but only to a point. I don't understand why (other than cost) why hotels, especially tourist hotels, have only one baggage holder when there's generally 2 people in a room. The lobby desk is periodically overwhelmed so they will not answer the phone. Mostly understandable. Breakfast is a free for all but I think it speaks more to the clientele than the hotel. People...
We stayed in a room on the -1 floor, which was neat and clean. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast buffet was a delightful bonus.
-
However, the shower drainage could use some maintenance.
-
Overall, it was a positive hotel experience.
We loved everything from the location, service, and the rooms. One of the best Scandic hotels we stayed in during our Scandinavia trip. The staff and rooms are fantastic, and the little touches and gestures made the trip great. And, of course, one of the best breakfast buffets (if I have to compare the other 4 Scandic hotels we stayed in). I would love to come back.
One of the best places I have stayed in Europe! Worth all the hype. I am a very light sleeper and I got full 7 hrs of good sleep, the room was clean and stylish. The breakfast was fantastic! Will definitely come stay longer!
What we liked:
- breakfast until noon on the weekend that’s just amazing really
- great selection of food on breakfast
- view from the room
- good location
What we didn’t like:
- not the best Scandic breakfast experience
- the room was dusty and not really clean
- the fact that you must call to the reception if you want your room being properly cleaned (go find this tiny piece of paper where they...

Excellent location, solid & comfortable bed, big bathroom, friendly & helpful staffs.
Room is a bit small, breakfast: selection is limited (wish have steam vegetables, chicken sausage, better coffee). Sauna area is not big.
This hotel is undoubtedly beautiful and luxurious and the location at the Esplanade is convenient and scenic.
The breakfast caters to Western tastes only, but the view in the restaurant makes up for it. Coffee, tea and service are great.
Even with the best efforts, the rooms retain a smell from aged materials, as one would expect from a historic hotel. But something to be aware of for those with sensitive...
Staying at Hotel Kämp was like entering a dream world, but with more luxury and less snooze. From the grand lobby to my spacious room, everything screamed VIP. The bed? So comfy I considered taking it home. The bathroom was bigger than my first apartment!
Breakfast was a royal feast—I lost count of my trips to the buffet. The coffee alone is worth a stay. I even tried the sauna and came out feeling...
I had a business lunch here and the selection was perfect. The staff were professional and friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The beef tartare was splendid.
Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Kämp Bar, and it was an outstanding experience.
The ambiance was chic yet cozy, perfect for unwinding after a long day. What truly stood out, however, were the cocktails. Each drink was a masterpiece, skillfully crafted with a balance of flavors that delighted my palate.
The bartenders clearly have a deep understanding of mixology, and their passion shines...
We had a great weekend at Hotel Kämp. We will definitely come back to see what the hotel will be like after renovations. Great service overall. I want to recommend their own Kämp Lager beer which they really should make a bigger deal of as it's delicious and isn't really mentioned anywhere on their menus. They took care of any issue we brought up immediately.
Some small niggles which are not complaints...

While the room was on the smallish side, the staff and all the hotel services greatly made up for it. The staff were welcoming and ready to offer assistance in all things. They were great about allowing us to check in a little early, and quick to offer assistance with any question or issue we raised. The hotel was near many of the sights and also conveniently located to public transportation.
Charming, cozy, unforgettable!
The first thing that grabbed my attention was how unique the hotel felt—there’s this cool, medieval vibe to the building, but with all the modern comforts woven in perfectly. It’s like stepping back in time, but with all the luxuries of today!
The rooms are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re so beautifully decorated and cozy, it didn’t even matter. I loved how...
We arrived at 15:30 and the hotel were aware of this since 13:00 by our travel agent. We waited some more time after 15:30 and at some point after further discussions and apologies we were given our keys to our room. Upon arriving a member of the staff was leaving our room with a vacuum meaning the room was not actually ready when we were given the keys. There was also a certain bad smell in the room...
My wife and I have stayed at many boutique hotels throughout the EU, and had the opportunity to stay here this spring while visiting friends in HEL. The location is great; close to the train station, with quite a few places within walking distance as well, but what set this place apart is the staff and ambiance. We cannot say enough about the staff; friendly, inclusive to all, and you could easily...
Excellent place to stay, even during renovations! The rooms are modern and clean. The location is good, only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast was amazing – probably worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It had everything from crepes and croissants to scrambled eggs and sausage to bread, ham, and cheese. I would come back again!
A really nice hotel pretty close to the city center. I was there during a construction project but it didn’t bother me much, other than that it affected the breakfast location.
The service was really good. When I arrived they went through not just the normal hotel stuff but also my Strawberry member benefits. I know them of course, but I never had them presented like this before.
Also, they let me...

I spent three nights in this code only hotel. Overall happy with the experience. Pro Location is good and room was clean. Comfortable matrass and handy to have a fridge and microwave. Cons shower could not get hot...warm at most. Windows cannot be opened but air circulation is okay.
This place is a lovely budget friendly option. My room was very pleasant, however, customer service is only conducted over the phone which can be a bit annoying if you are shattered like I was. This is best booked via the companies app.
A weird smell from the shower head in the toilet. It was alright for one night at a reasonable rate in Helsinki. A few nice add on as the microwave, water boiler and a fridge, plus a few coffee pouches.
I stayed for 1 night only, I could say it was pretty good, wasnt there so much noise from the street, there was no customer service, the room was quite clean ! It is not the kind of places you would stay for many days or weeks ! I think couple of few days would be fair enough !
The rooms have self check-in and codes sent to phone available, making them easy access if you have to get a room late at night or at strange hours. My room was standard and tidy, the bathroom sink handle was extremely hard to turn, but other than that the room was great; there was a mini fridge, a double bed and TV, along with a water boiler and a hairdryer. The AC wasn't adjustable and quite loud...
This was my first experience with European micro hotels. The facility is a little older, but my only real complaint was with the thermostat. On two stays over the course of ten days, one room was set to 15c and one was set to 22c. I really don't understand the thermostats, but it wouldve been nice to have a way to change.the temperature in advance of my arrival.

Very clean and excellent base location. Close to train station.
Excellent buffet breakfast.
Tiny bathroom / toilet area. Not suitable for a larger person.
Hotel estb. 1907! But my room on 6th floor is totally new: flooring, cupboard, toilet! Very Quiet room. Excellent location! Good price! Supermarket & eateries all around! Smiley reception staff. Most recommended!
This is a very reasonable hotel, relatively 'budget' by Helsinki standards at around €130 per night for a double/twin including breakfast - they often have 'deals'. The location is good, on the edge of the city centre, the reception staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean with good bathrooms (on the downside they're a little small, and hot at night). The buffet breakfast is excellent
Location is very good. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are large, butcsome renovation would be already needed, specifically toilet /bathroom would need larger renovation already.
Location and Staff is great, although the rooms need some renovating. The breakfast makes it worth it though. So good.
The room was very small, just a big bed and a table. It was just for a night's sleep. The bed is big and very comfortable, the linen was clean and no problems. I was not visited to clean, but I only spent three days in this hotel.
But the windows faced the close building across the street and I had to keep the curtains closed at all times.
There was no stopper in the shower and I had to collect the...

A good value. Finding a cheap place to stay in one of the most expensive countries in the world can be a big ask, but Hotel Anna came through. Conveniently located. Very walkable area. Nearby public transit options. Breakfast is decent. Would stay again.
Rooms werent great.
1. Very small Rooms (incl. Bathroom)
2. No ventilation for the rooms.
3. No AC, fan provided
decor was bad
4. Fixtures and decor were off. Plus point since umberalla’s given in room
However, given the location of the hotel; and the price i will recommend this place!
Great value in the center seven minutes from everything. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Good beds. Decent breakfast with the room and the breakfast opens at 7 AM which is really nice. Not a bad place and really nice folks at the reception.
Hotel Anna has been great, room was warm and bed was comfy, and very easy to get to, and this is my second visit and it was just as good as the last,. What was annoying was not being able to have guests in the room just to chill but despite that amazing experience 🙂
The best part of the hotel is the location, walking distance to many places. Breakfast is adequate. The rooms are small and old but you pay accordingly.
Quaint hotel, comfortable bed, quiet mini fridge in the room, small kettle, and fan, along with a small safe. The room overlooked the courtyard which was quiet so keeping the window open was not a problem. A short stroll to all tourist sites, with nearby mini-shopping markets, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was standard continental.

Great location, service, and beautiful bar. I wouldn’t have changed a thing it, very well situated, walkable, in a cute area. Very niche thing, but really appreciated the GHD hairdryer - I’ve never experienced a hotel having the same high end hair dryer I have at home!
Truly one of the best hotels in Europe, I absolutely loved my recent stay at Hotel St George and am already thinking about when I’ll be back.
For those looking for a hotel that hits on every aspect, this is the one:
- Location: couldn’t be more ideal as you are a quick walk to major sites, the train station, or tram spots to venture further
- Service: impeccable, the staff treated us very well in...
For context we are a couple in our early 30’s, without children fyi.
We stayed for the marathon, it was the perfect distance from the start line and location for city centre. We wanted something that we could have a lovely stay and celebrate the our achievement and this hotel did that.
The spa facilities are lovely, very clean and calming. Massages were brilliant.
Food - breakfast was great, huge...
We have stayed at the Saint George for a few years in a row now, and every time we are highly impressed. The customer service is top notch, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the location is fantastic.
I’d like to give a personal shout out to Pauli, he has remembered me upon every visit, and his customer service/personability is second to none. I hope to see him every time I visit Helsinki!
Our room was great, had everything we needed, except a view. The room had a very small window in the corner making the room in itself a bit dark / gloomy. Bed was great, and the space as well, on top of good bathropes. Shoes they could not find that could fit a 46 / 11 size.
The service on the other hand was perfect and everyone was nice and quick.
We booked a suite but didn’t realize how tiny it is until we checked in… It’s cutely decorated but there is no space for placing luggage. They added a roller bed right outside of the bathroom that the door cannot be opened fully and the bathroom door lock was so loud that every time we close the door we had to be careful not to wake up the kid. So awkward…
The service was quick that whenever we requested...

It may be a European thing, but there was no room in the fridge and no cutlery or plates. Other than that, It was a great place to stay. Comfortable bed and great service by the staff.
Executive room with a nice view and some champagne, a couples retreat which worked well. Great service as well, lounge had some nice snacks. Beautiful elevators and good quality rooms. Mattress a little hard and a bit minus for the pool and sauna; desperately in need of a make over. Breakfast was nice and fresh with a wide selection. Overall a nice stay!
Overall a good stay, but a few issues!
Not the usual quality one expects from a Hilton.
The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff did a great job.
One morning the hot water broke. The staff were not very apologetic about this, but we were given money off on checkout so do ask if things genuinely go wrong - I would never ask usually but don’t think you should have to pay for a cold...
A wonderful hotel. My stay was nice, the personnel is kind, the lobby extremely pleasant, the room neatly arranged and very clean. The location is perfect, central and quiet in the same time.

This hotel was just okay. The staff was great, very welcoming and helpful when you needed them. However, there were very few amenities. The pool is indoors, small and cold. There was a sauna and gym. There was only one restaurant and no room service. The location was about a 20mins walk to the center city. I went during summer time so it's daylight about 19hrs and it never gets completely dark. This is a lovely hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. It’s also a great location to be able to walk to all the major sites in the city. I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Helsinki, and it was a fantastic experience. The convenience of this spot made exploring Helsinki so much easier!
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and stylish, with a welcoming ambiance. My room...
The staff is amazing. Definitely helpful. Do remember, that this hotel is a green hotel. The facilities, there is a gym and a sauna (I assumed, provided you are a member of the Radisson group) . I would definitely consider Radisson if I were to revisit Helsinki !
Very good hotel near the central train station. Nice sauna.
But Insufficient cleaning.
One day at the start of the breakfast (6:30-7:00), the staff was unable to make omelettes for about at least half an hour. Generally, the breakfast buffet was slightly unprepared that day.
Central location but quiet. Accessible rooms not huge but adequate, and the wet-room bathrooms are good. Has a quality feel. I'd stay here again.
(If you're coming to this hotel from the airport via the train, don't leave through the front of the station. Instead, take the exit to the left at the end of the platform and walk 150m, up the steps, and you're at the blunt end of the cul de sac in which...

What a beautiful new hotel in the most convenient location in Helsinki!
The bed was super comfy, bath tub was a pleasant surprise, service very friendly and flexible, the building itself is so pretty - i felt like a VIP staying here.
Tip for dinner: burger at the hotel bar was amazing ✨
The hotel has a very unique character, loved it. An old train station building very nicely renovated. Location is excellent, you can walk to every interesting place in Helsinki from here.
We had a great room, with an amazing shower. The breakfast is good although it is the same selection every day. The hotel is huge and has some related issues such as a very crowded breakfast room and a luggage storage room that is overfull.
Overnighting on the way back from London, this hotel feels really luxurious! Utterly elegant room in the old part of the building, beautiful colours, extremely tidy, overly abundant breakfast.
Loved this hotel! It has a lot of character, being located in a stylish 1930s former headquarters of Finnish railways. The location is central to everything, including the railway station but the sound insulation is perfect - no noise at all! Rooms are modern, beds comfy, clean, friendly service. And their breakfasts are really good! Recommend!

The reception guy was very friendly and hospitable however there were flies hovering around the computer monitor. The most overall look was nice and clean. If you look at some details like scratches on the wall or the weird plumbing situation with the bathroom sink then you can notice some imperfections. This is a beautiful and unique hotel, right on the Bulevardi, one of the nicest streets in Helsinki. The decor was cozy and beautiful, the breakfast was excellent and traditional Finnish. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommended!!!
I can't say enough good things about this hotel! We stayed in five-star hotels and luxury villas throughout our trip to Estonia and Finland, and this hotel turned out to be our favorite!

We loved this place so much, the highlight being the sauna inside the room! Amazing breakfast and nice staff at reception. Nice art in the room and cozy atmosphere with the music, candles and decoration around the place. Just room service and the minibar seemed unnecessarily expensive so we didn’t use it
Absolutely love this hotel, I booked the room with a sauna and used it as much as possible. It’s a beautiful place to stay. The restaurant is unfortunately not up to the same level but would definitely stay here again !
Amazing rooms, super staff. Great location in Helsinki. Breakfast is ok, but not as good as you might expect from a hotel like this. Food in restaurant is recommended though!

Outstanding place to stay. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff who speak English (along with most of the people here in Finland), and an incredible breakfast! The saunas have limited usages and times, so be ready to fit your schedule around that if you're interested. Rooms are great and custodians will clean them and make the beds when you're gone. Nice hotel. Old part of the building is very cool but a little worn out.
Everything is in walking distance from the hotel.
Breakfast was very good.
The business room is spacious but in the old part of the hotel (19th century) very dark colours and „antique“ wooden furniture. The not so old art work had dents, walls were botched and scratched. The king size bed and bedding is very comfy. However, the shower is constructed wrong, which floods the whole bathroom after showering - very annoying.

Where would I start? I have never experienced such comfort as in this hotel! Believe me, I've traveled quite a bit. We just traveled in Europe, climbed and backpacked in the mountains. Great location, very clean and staff friendly. Enjoyed their breakfast - great options. Have stayed three times and would certainly return if I find myself in Helsinki again.
Great location near shopping, restaurants, and the city center. Staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of great choices and regional specialties. The hotel itself is a bit of a maze.
Beautiful, chic hotel in a perfect location. The barman, Jordan, was friendly and kind, but he also had tips for fun, innovative places to visit and hidden gems in the neighborhood. Order the mezcal espresso martini. It will change your life.
Great place with spacious rooms which is always expected in any European country.
They don’t have the parking which is a bummer but gives 20% discounts on the amino parking lots. The parking lot would charge 36 euro/day.
They have a very good breakfast for 25$ which is worth it with the options that they give.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. The hotel loses a star from me for having big windows with curtains which don't block the light out, so if you like to sleep in a dark room you're better off going somewhere else. However, if that doesn't bother you then I would recommend this hotel.
The receptionists are amazing - I had trouble with my bag and they are helping me get it back. The location is beautiful, the restaurant breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are cool. Only thing that could be better is better cleaning services - there was still garbage in the room after cleaning.

I attended conference for 2 days. Food served during lunch buffet was really of good quality. Deserts served during lunch time looked like bakery chef craft with berrys and chocolate along with simple colorful macaroons.
Will definitely stay here again. Very close walk to downtown. Great food. Great customer service. Also have a nice full gym, pool and sauna. This will absolutely be my go-to hotel for visits to Helsinki.
This is my go-to hotel in Helsinki. The massive gym is by far the best hotel facility in Helsinki. Just a 10-15 min walk to the railway station, Kamppi etc., and as a plus the walk is along a beautiful park waterfront. The breakfast selection is excellent, I'd definitely recommend as an add-on. On the other hand the lounge is a bit sad, I would not pay anything extra for that.
Rooms are relatively small. Especially for the junior suite.
They first put me in a room where the minibar wasn’t even stocked. Like what? (3rd floor)
Had to call the receptionist to ask to be moved to a room with a stocked minibar. ( 5th floor)
The junior suite on the 5th floor was a corner room. So it was more spacious and generally looked way better than the one on the third floor.
A blessing...
There's just something weird about the beds. I don't know what. Otherwise the staff are fantastic. Be aware there is no coed sauna for hetero couples wanting to relax. The breakfast here is great and worth the extra price if you are using booking. Lots of plugins for charging but you can't cast to the TV.
It is still a good hotel to stay in Helsinki, especially for confidence or seminar delegate. Check in service is smooth and easy going, good breakfast, great size of the guest rooms (even some of the furniture pieces are worn out)... Good sleep quality!
Sure thing Finnish sauna to enjoy after a long working day.

I was in Kubernetes event there. Environment and professionals were great. Food was overall good, service was quite good as well. Rack was not monitored and cafe didn't have anything to eat. Location is central Helsinki so can't complain.
Great staff. Nice restaurant got a pool in the cellar. That felt a bit outdated with a bit to cold water. Good knowledge on the staff.. was asking. For wegan options . And found out the receptionist was wegan also. That made it easier for us to get recommendations. No que at the reception . Got our room within 5 mins even if we were 1st timers on the hotell
Great location. This is a very nice place to stay - the breakfast especially made an impression. Very fast check-in and the staff was friendly and attentive. Room was spacious with a nice view. In the lobbies, they have this great ambient music mixed with natural sounds playing, great touch. I will be returning here.
Decent boutique hotel in downtown Helsinki, right next to the infamous Kamppi mall, which inspired the founding of Wolt.
Solid rooms, good level of cleanliness, sauna and pool areas are tidy, staff is friendly and breakfast buffet is having many options.
Hotel works both for business and pleasure travels.
Great hotel with a good pool and sauna to relax. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the room was amazing and comfortable.
The only detail, bad wifi connection inside the rooms.

While the overall stay was good, there were a few things that could have been improved. We accidentally broke a glass in the room, which felt a bit cramped with very little space. Although we cleaned it up ourselves, we requested housekeeping to vacuum to ensure no one got hurt. It seemed like they serviced the room, but unfortunately there were still shards left behind, and my husband ended up cutting...
We stayed here for six days during our trip as a couple and we had lovely experience. The breakfast buffet offer has a good value for money. The options were abundant and delicious. The rooms were what you would expect from a hotel of this sort. They did not have extra amenities such as toothbrush or napkins though. The workers at the reception were helpful and friendly, as they even lent us an umbrella...
I booked for the spa and had a lovely time. I went to the wrong locker room and the staff nicely helped me to locate my things.
I had a cocktail which was made by a machine but it was still good not too sweet.
I didn’t use the sauna since it was +26 outside anyway.
I mainly used the jacuzzi.
Great hotel for a reasonable price with breakfast. The rooms are quite nice and modern. The hotel also offers a spa and a gym with a rooftop bar. The location is almost outside of Helsinki, near Pasila. There's public transportation available nearby.
The breakfast was tasty but the options were less than I expected which was a bit disappointing.
The hotel also has a playroom for little ones. There...
We overall had a pleasant stay at the hotel (4 nights). The room was small but they made good use of the space that was available. The breakfast was okay but nothing too special. We missed some more options on the warm buffet and fruit/veggies. The cocktails we had at the bar were good but quite expensive even for a hotel bar. But we really liked the design of the hotel.
Nice modern room with good sound insulation. Wellness area on the roof is compact, but on the point. Definitely recommend the hotel and wellness area.

Good hotel for solo business trips. The sauna and the pool are extra nice. Perhaps the lack of a restaurant during the evening might be a downside.
Clarion Hotel, Helsinki
@travel_citiesandmountains
I stayed here for three nights in September 2024.
The self check-in process is straightforward and doesn't take long.
The room was decent and had a kettle and and tea and coffee provision, a minibar, a safe big enough for a 15" laptop and some shelves and hanging space to store clothes so it would be a good option for a stay of a week (or maybe...
Excellent hotel for business or city trip. The rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay. Breakfast outstanding and event has outdoor space for the summer days. Sky room and spa and open door pool on the roof!!!!
Amazing hotel a really nice walk from central Helsinki. We had a twin room, which was fine - petite but the bathroom was lovely and we could see the sea. They'd forgotten the crib we asked for, but brought it up within 5 mins of calling reception. The sauna and pool were amazing (although in September the pool was not warm enough for a baby). Breakfast was good - loads of options including bacon etc...
Staying at the Clarion Hotel Helsinki was a fantastic experience. The modern design and stylish interiors create a vibrant yet welcoming vibe. The views from the Sky Room are stunning, especially at sunset. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The hotel also offers good value for the price, with high quality at a reasonable rate. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool and sauna...
Stayed 5 nights in July 2024 and I can really recommend Clarion Hotel in Helsinki.
The hotel is quite new, the rooms where clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
The trams run every few minutes just outside the hotel.
Staff was polite and professional.
Thank you for a great summer holiday at your hotel!
