Really nice location, just 5 min walk to busy bar street and restaurants. Hotel restaurant very good and staff both restaurant and hotel super nice. 👍🌹

Modern, Scandinavian vibe with really helpful and warmhearted staff. We had some weird request and all were fulfilled without any hesitation. Attached pictures are from the King Suite. It had a fireplace and all. The bathroom + sauna alone were larger than a junior suite. Can't recommend enough!

Great location, good rooms and friendly staff. Remember to book cleaning services if you need it during your stay. Room cleaning is not included in your reservation . It doesn't cost any extra. Our room was very nice and it includes a sauna. However there room was a bit dirty and had used bottles on the Sill. That was bit disappointing and the fact that we were not told about the need to order cleaning...

The room is clean, but the bed is smaller compare to other hotel for standard room. We checked in on Sunday. And the restaurant is not operating, the room need to walk thru the tunnel and walk back to receptions. Not convenient at all.

Nice hotel. Clean and modern room. Bit fatigue, but still quite a high level of quality. Very friendly and helpful service! Receptionist was super nice and helpful to me. Location is great - in the city center. Breakfast was ok - fresh and many things to chose from.

Sauna only on from 6pm to 9 pm unfortunately. Was nice with pool. Random construction in hallway started at 8am and was very loud...

While the room looks old, it has something that most hotels don’t in winter - air conditioning. This is great because it means we don’t have to open the windows to avoid having a hot and stuffy sleep! There is also no tea/coffee and kettle provided. But their breakfast is good, with plenty of selections.

This hotel has an 80s feel to it. It looks like an old bunker and tthe rooms are also... Well vintage. Good breakfast!

To those who go to this hotel, I recommend you to take bus or car and not try to walk since the hotel is located above a steep hill. Don't be fooled by the outside look of the hotel. Though it might look very glim and boring on the outside, it's certainly refreshing inside. It has amazing spa at night, bowling hall, and bar is also available for the night, although it closes fairly soon.

Excellent Breakfast,nice grounds,not a bad Spa and swimming pool,but a lot of people.Of the minuses-the old rooms,no polotentsesushitelya. In winter the rooms get cool enough-told them-got the radiator). In General, for a family with a child is a good enough place.but not more than a couple of days.

The room with the sauna was roomy and nice, with downtown views. Perfect place to observe the New Year's fireworks.

We visited the place on Suturday afternoon. The place appear to be very popular at that time, that we had to wait for 5-7 minutes before we got sitted (many tables were coincidently reserved for a private event on that day). Really nice hotel, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained with nice facilities. The pool is small and the gym is a bit limited, sauna is good. The breakfast was high quality and the restaurant / bar had good food and beer with great staff. There were sports on TV and a few live performances which were very good. Short walk to town.

The hotel is really nice, I like the location near the lake and city centre. The restaurant at the hotel is really good, really recommended. As is the breakfast. Why I gave only 4 stars, that's because rooms are not always as clean as they should be.

Gorgeous cozy designer hotel. Beautiful rooms, you can connect a computer to the TV. A very good sauna for women, there is a relaxation area, face and body masks, tea. Delicious breakfasts with smoked fish and other delicacies. I recommend with all my heart!

The hotel operates on the green concept, even the door key is made from the recycled wood (amazing it is). The location is ideal. Room a bit small, but in view of its location, the tradeoff is worth it. The shopping street/downtown area, marine port and some sightseeing venues are within the walking distance. Coffee is available 24/7, it is a great plus.

We booked here as a treat quite last minute due to impeding circumstances and it was such a lovely stay! The hotel was absolutely beautiful in every corner and the service all around was excellent; The staff can’t do enough for you and the cleanliness is top notch. Will definitely be recommending this place.

Convenient and easy place to stay overnight in the middle of the city. The extra beds were a bit old and tired but the main beds worked well, the room was clean and the coffee/tea facilities a great surprise.

Would be good to have parking. There was no blender on the window. Too bright to sleep. Also would be good to have a shower door. Easy to check in. Everything is very near. Comfortable and nice looking furniture.

Rooms are nice and big enough (for a family 2+2). Beds are comfy, showers are clean, all required equipment is available in the room. Automated check-in and check-out is a huge advantage. I would recommend it mostly for one night sleepover as there are no restaurants or bars in the hotel.

Nice room, no staff on site most of the time, you get a door code by email. Simple as long as everything goes OK. The fire alarm went off while we were there, and the fire department showed up -- still no staff though. Tried to call the help number but didn't seem to go through. Nice hotel room though, with a reasonable price. Also there is no free parking on site.

What really sells this are the amazing views you get from the rooms on the lake side - it is absolutely worth getting one of those. Otherwise it's a fairly basic hotel, a bit dated in terms of interior, but certainly functional and clean.

Undergoing a needed renovation as there is quite a disparity between rooms. Still enjoyed my stay for business, finally a hotel room not overheated. Great breakfast bar lovely view of the lake and footbridge. Attentive hotel staff, thumbs up from me !

Nice location by the lake in the city. Note that the single and standard rooms are small. Always have been quiet in the rooms when staying there.

alba hotel was excellent, specially with that amazing view to the lake jyvasjarvi. the breakfast was great! i love this hotel. the only negative point is that there is no refrigerator in the rooms!

We spent our wedding night here. The room was nice and big. The Bed was very comfortable. I loved their breakfast, it had different choices. The eggs were really good. It was an expensive hotel but worth the price.

Very high quality service and food. Everything is where it should be and wines, food, etc. is top-notch for each price category. I recommend making dinner reservation with the room reservation since the place is very popular. Only downside is that you can hear some noice through the ventilation channels, but this wasn't bothersome to us. Sincerely, Miika

Clean and well kept place with friendly staff. They only lost the fifth star due to no tea/coffee in room (although available at bar) and no bacon at breakfast (although very nice bread selection).

Whether it's a nice little accommodation room in a little green house near the Family Park and the University. Everything you needed was found, the instructions for arriving and getting the key (funny key "locker" at the front door) were good. There is a K-store nearby and parking in the yard. I was really excited about a hostel with a sauna and hot tub, but the sauna wasn't turned on and the hot tub looked really dirty. The room + location was really nice though and the kitchen was perfect, so still worth it if you don't care about the sauna/hot tub. And the customer service was really friendly.

The facilities are good, right by the ski and sports centre, rooms clean and comfortable with fridge, tv and sink. The service is on another level: friendly, welcoming and helpful to an extent that really displays generosity and for this alone I think you can trust your stay will be excellent. If I'll go by Jyväskylä again I'll make sure I'll stay at Laajis.

Nice and quiet place to spend the night. Famous for great outdoor activities and populated mostly by youth. Accommodation is spartan but everything is clean and tidy. Kitchen with some free supplies - coffee, pasta, stove, teapot, mugs. Nice chillout with a fireplace and a TV.
