A walk or electric scooter away from the main area of Tampere with the bars and restaurants etc. or a cheap uber/taxi if you’d rather.
Tampere a great place.
Apartment otherwise was well equipped and easy access to pool and restaurant area from inside.
Secondly, there were some surprising extra fees, for example robe and slippers in room. Also you find out after booking, that gym cost 10 euros per visit.
Spa was nice with different pools, but none of saunas where to go together with family, only two in men/women showery.
Location was good. Not in centre, but you can easily walk to Särkaniemi and main streets. Promenade to fun park was good.
Also nothing bad to say about breakfast. Different choices for every one. Except some fish, if you get up too late.
The beds were ok to sleep in, but it is not a double bed, and everything is somehow very slippery, so just by lying in bed watching tv the beds slipped apart and the bedding matress halfway onto the floor. Quite odd, as it is easily fixable to strain single beds together as a double.
The decorations overall were a bit mismatched, nice old photos in the hallway, combined with some kind of ugly rough plastic mat, for example. Not quite what you expect in a hotel in this price range.
Something else that was quite odd was that they charge for the use of robs and slippers, I have never experienced this in a spa hotel, as well as they charge quite a lot for parking, that is pretty limited.
As it was a late booking with only a few day's notice there were no spa treatments availlable. The pool bar was also closed. The changing area in the spa section was very dated, worn, with cracked tiles and a bit dirty. The shower area and saunas were fine, if you don't count the toilet's floor covered in pee.
The pool area as not appealing, the natural stone wall was nice but the jacuzzis were lukewarm, while I prefere 38-39°. A lot of cracked tiles and wear in this area as well. I thought it would be relaxing in the evening, but even quite late there were mostly young children playing. So very noisy.
The breakfast was nice and plentyful, with a very good selection of all kinds of food.
So, an ok experience, but nowhere near what they are marketing or what you would expect to get for this price.
The spa area was oldish and not wow. Had a treatment(head massage). It was okay, really expensive though.
