We stayed in one of the villas, and it was just perfect, from the large salt water pool that we had virtually to ourselves, to the super comfortable and huge beds, brilliant showers, and private terraces to have a drink on in the evening.
The staff were all lovely - those at lunch were very experienced, slick and charming, while those doing room service seemed untrained and not very good - but everyone was lovely. The nice woman who cleaned our rooms in the villa was so so nice, and brilliant.
A highlight was lunch in the gardens - everyone staying here should do this. The food was top notch, the service charming, and the setting out of this world beautiful.
I can't wait to come back.
The smaller room (51) stayed in for the first 4 nights was not luxury. The larger room (30) was roomy and modern but, very simple.
Sophie at the main pool is incredibly helpful, kind and professional. I do not know if she plans to stay with the hotel bit, if so, she is someone I would promote.
Blandine and Eve are both kind and helpful. Reception is not speedy nor does it seem modern - paper files are pulled from a file cabinet. Eve does the best she can with the situation.
I will stay again as the outside of the property, including the pools, is beautiful and peaceful. I will make sure that construction is fully completed.
1- on the website it stated clearly that it comes with electric car charging station. When we arrived, we were informed that there wasn’t any and were asked to look for it externally. Took us 2H and checked 8 spots all over the town to get the car charged. Eventually one of the staff managed to do us an extra favor by charging it using an external output but these extra hassles were not necessary if there was no false advertising to begin with.
2- when we booked our non refundable room in April, it was written that the renovation would be complete in end April. Then mid May we received an email saying that the renovation is delayed but offered no options of cancellation. And we were shocked to discover the severity of renovation as the email clearly downplayed them. Many places were blocked, no views, drilling noises etc. Videos for reference.
However, we could only imagine how pretty it would be as the gardens were gorgeous and very friendly staffs whom worked hard to make everything comfortable for us despite all the hassles. I would give 5 stars for the team here but strongly recommend the general management team to revisit their communication towards future guests.
