Hotel Libera Caen Colombelles

Nice place to spend a few days as the rooms can have a small kitchen. The rooms are comfortable. These are a set of independent units that have a couple or more rooms. Looks like pre-built buildings but not in a bad way. We didn’t heard any noises or had any issues at all. The breakfast is a bit on the expensive side as in most places so we opted to make our own on the room. It’s a good value for money with the rooms with kitchen. There is at walking distance a U supermarket that has everything needed to do some basic meals is necessary. We stayed for a few days and was a good option to visit all over Normandy. Everything seems to be about 30m-45m tops away. The rooms were cleaned every day. Recomended. There is a free private parking, with a few electric chargers that I didn’t used.

Brilliant hotel with spacious rooms and top of the range food. Staff lovely, with good English. No hesitation in recommending.

Location is good if you have a car. With electric charger as well.

Very nice rooms really friendly staff

Excellent Service. Clean and spacious room. Very friendly host. I stayed here for 3 nights. When I use the washing machine on the last day of my stay, they let me wait inside my room instead of asking me to check out first.

The rooms are clean and large, free parking, the location is excellent, the breakfast is excellent (the only thing missing is vegetables and it's perfect) the service is excellent! The guy at the reception went out of his way to help me with a charging solution for the electric car, well done for the amazing service! It is highly recommended .

Larger space - a little difficult to find. Reception was welcoming and helpful - room itself was good but not outstanding

What a find! This hotel is an absolute delight. The rooms are large and comfortably sleep 3, each room has its own balcony. What really made our stay was the welcome from the reception staff. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't serve diner on a weekend, nevertheless the lady at reception explained to us all the various places that were open. When we returned with a take-away pizza to eat in the restaurant area our host went out of her way to set the table and serve water. Service way beyond anything which we had expected.
With an electric car charging point, secure storage for bikes and such a welcoming atmosphere I'd recommend this hotel and would be very happy indeed to return.

The hotel is situated outside of the city center, however it's not too far by a car. The rooms are all arranged in a container style next to each other. (All the rooms are on the ground floor). The check-in process was smooth and easy. All the staffs were polite and friendly.

When we entered the room, we tried to call the reception to get us some water because there was none. However, the phone in the room didn't work. We had to walk back to the reception. Also, their Wi-Fi system is outdated or wrongly configured, it can't take more than 2 devices per room. So again, we had to walk back and ask them what should we do to connect more devices. They gave us the next rooms numbers and asked us to use the same password.

The bathroom is ok in size, the room was overall clean and spacious. We had a large friendly spider next to the electricty main switch, but I mean it's normal, it happens everywhere.

The breakfast was good BUT, they had an automatic fancy fridge like an ice-cream fridge for their cakes and desserts, there was at least 5 flies trapped inside the fridge and no one ever noticed from the staff.

Small details here and there that they need to fix, but it adds up together.
